Kane signs new contract with Tottenham
Striker Harry Kane has signed a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur which runs until 2022, the club have announced.
Kane had signed a new deal until 2020 in February, but his latest contract is reported to bring him in line with the club's top earners.
Reports suggested that the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan were contemplating a big-money move for Kane if Spurs could not meet his wage demands.
However, the 23-year-old recently spoke of his desire to remain at Tottenham for a "long, long time" and he has committed to Mauricio Pochettino's side for the long term.
Kane has risen through the youth ranks to become an integral part of Spurs' first-team after spending time on loan at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City earlier in his career.
The England striker has flourished under the stewardship of Pochettino and he has 5 Premier League goals to his name this season having scored 46 over the previous two.
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League with just one defeat from 13 matches, although they failed to progress from the Champions League group stages.

Cazorla to miss another 3 months
Arsenal will be without midfielder Santi Cazorla for another 3 months after the club decided he should undergo ankle surgery.
The 31-year-old has already missed 6 weeks of action since suffering the injury in the Champions League match against Ludogorets Razgrad on 19 October.
After the problem did not heal as quickly as Arsenal had hoped, Cazorla will undergo surgery in Sweden next week in a bid to fully resolve the issue.
Arsenal's timeframe would mean Cazorla will not return to action until the start of March, for the closing stages of the 2016-2017 season.
The development comes as a major blow to manager Arsene Wenger, who stressed last week the club were missing Cazorla having won only one of their last 5 games across all competitions.
Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck are among Arsenal's other long-term injury absentees.

FA confirms 4-game ban for Aguero
The Football Association has confirmed that Sergio Aguero is to face a 4-game suspension following his red card against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Argentina international was sent off for a reckless challenge on David Luiz in injury time of Manchester City's 3-1 defeat to the Premier League leaders at the Etihad Stadium.
The FA updated the disciplinary page on their official website on Monday, verifying that Aguero has been given a suspension that will rule him out of matches against champions Leicester City, Watford, Arsenal and Hull City.
It is the second time Aguero has been punished for violent conduct this season, prompting the lengthier ban, after he was given a retrospective red card for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid in August.
Team-mate Fernandinho has received a 3-match suspension after he was sent off for pushing Cesc Fabregas over the advertising boards in the fracas that followed Aguero's challenge.

Everton confirm serious knee injury for Bolasie
Everton have confirmed that winger Yannick Bolasie will require surgery on what they describe as a "serious" injury to his knee.
The 27-year-old was substituted in the 68th minute of Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United and was sent for scans on the problem.
The club have since announced that Bolasie has sustained cruciate ligament damage and will be operated on this week.
Initial reports have suggested that he could be out for the remainder of the season.
Bolasie has been ever-present in Ronald Koeman's side since arriving from Crystal Palace in August for a reported fee of £27 million.
The DR Congo international has scored one goal and provided 4 assists in those 16 appearances in all competitions.

Barry set to go joint-second in all-time PL appearance list
Gareth Barry will join Frank Lampard in second on the all-time Premier League appearance list when he starts for Everton against Watford on Saturday.
The former England international will make his 609th outing in the modern era of the top flight, drawing level with ex-West Ham and Chelsea midfielder Lampard.
Barry made the majority of his appearances over an 11-year spell at Aston Villa, moving onto Manchester City before joining Everton in 2014 following a successful season on loan.
Ronald Koeman has made two changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Manchester United last time out, with the injured Yannick Bolasie and Tom Cleverley replaced by James McCarthy and Gerard Deulofeu.
Barry will move to within 23 matches of equaling Ryan Giggs' record, with the same amount of fixtures remaining this season.

Wenger confirms Mustafi to miss 3 weeks
Shkodran Mustafi will miss the busy Christmas period after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed the defender will be out for at least 3 weeks with a hamstring strain.
Mustafi suffered the setback in Saturday's 3-1 win at home to Stoke City, which sent his side to the top of the Premier League, but he will be unavailable for upcoming games against Everton, Manchester City and West Bromwich.
Wenger insisted the German was not carrying an injury from the Champions League trip to FC Basel in midweek and the centre-back had declared he was fit to play.
The result was the Gunners' 15th consecutive home win over Stoke in all competitions.

Azpilicueta signs new Chelsea deal
Cesar Azpilicueta has agreed a new 3-and-a-half-year deal at Chelsea, the club have confirmed, tying the defender to Stamford Bridge until 2020.
The versatile 27-year-old has impressed during Antonio Conte's first season in charge, operating as part of a 3-man defence and contributing to the Blues' march to the top of the Premier League table.
Nominally a full-back, the Spain international has become accustomed to playing on the right side of Conte's preferred backline, alongside David Luiz and Gary Cahill.
The former Osasuna player could make his 200th appearance for Chelsea against Sunderland on Wednesday, having joined from Olympique Marseille in 2012.
Azpilicueta won the Europa League in 2013-2013, followed by the League Cup and Premier League in 2014-2015. He has operated at both right and left-back prior to Conte's formation change this season.
The Pamplona native has been capped 18 times at senior international level by Spain.

Rondon heads into the record books
Salomon Rondon's stunning 13-minute hat-trick secured all 3 points for West Bromwich Albion in their convincing 3-1 victory over Swansea City, but it was not just the speed of the 3 goals that was striking.
As his third of the game rattled in off the underside of the crossbar, Rondon became just the second player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick of headers - something that has not been done since Duncan Ferguson achieved the feat against Bolton in 1997.

Lloris commits to Spurs until 2022
Hugo Lloris has committed his future to Tottenham Hotspur until 2022, the club have confirmed.
The captain's contract had been due to expire at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
But the France skipper has extended his stay by a further 3 years, becoming the latest in a recent line of Spurs players to sign new deals.
Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen are among those to have committed their futures to the club this season.
Lloris initially joined Tottenham from Olympique Lyon in August 2012 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
He has made 189 appearances in his time at White Hart Lane, though he has yet to win any silverware with the club, suffering defeat to Chelsea in the Final of the 2015 League Cup.
The 29-year-old came agonisingly close to success for both club and country this year, with Tottenham falling away in the final stages of their title challenge as Leicester City stunningly won the Premier League, while France were denied the honour of winning EURO 2016 on home soil with a 1-0 defeat to Portugal after extra time in the Final.
Lloris has played in 15 of Tottenham's 17 Premier League games this season and Spurs boast the second-best defensive record in the division having seen their goal breached just 12 times.
Pardew leaves Crystal Palace
Alan Pardew has left his role as manager of Crystal Palace, the club have confirmed.
Pardew left Newcastle to take over at Selhurst Park in January 2015 and led them to a 10th place finish in the Premier League.
But his first full season in charge did not prove as successful in the league, Palace enduring a dreadful second half of the campaign as they finished just 5 points above the relegation zone.
The former Southampton and Charlton Athletic manager led Palace to the FA Cup Final, only to see his side beaten 2-1 in extra time as Jesse Lingard scored the winner for Manchester United.
And Pardew has failed to turn around their fortunes in the first half of the 2016-2017 season, with Palace just a point above the bottom three with 15 points from 17 games.
Palace's struggles this season have been particularly surprising following a transfer window in which they invested heavily in the likes of Christian Benteke, Andros Townsend and James Tomkins.

Vorm signs new Spurs deal
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2018.
The news comes just a day after first-choice stopper Hugo Lloris committed to White Hart Lane until 2022.
Vorm, 33-year-old, joined Spurs from Swansea in 2014 and has made 26 appearances in all competitions.
Snodgrass headlines Hull contract extensions
Hull City have triggered a one-year extension to Robert Snodgrass' contract amid reports the winger is determined to leave the club.
The move to tie Snodgrass down until 2018 was among 6 announced by the KCOM Stadium outfit on Friday, with Michael Dawson, Abel Hernandez, Jake Livermore, Harry Maguire and Andrew Robertson also seeing their deals extended by 12 months.
Middlesbrough, West Ham, West Bromwich, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Newcastle have all been linked with a move for Scotland international Snodgrass, who has made 18 appearances for the club this season.
Snodgrass is thought to have recently turned down the offer of a 3-year deal and manager Mike Phelan says negotiations over longer stays for all 6 players will resume in the New Year.
"What we've done, not just with Robert but a few players here, we've exercised the options that were in their contracts", he said.
Hull City host Manchester City in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
Gundogan undergoes knee surgery
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has undergone surgery to repair a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Germany international Gundogan sustained the injury during the first half of City's 2-0 Premier League victory over Watford last week and he is set to miss the remainder of his debut campaign in England.
Gundogan was the first signing of the Pep Guardiola era at the Etihad Stadium when he agreed a switch from Borussia Dortmund but was unable to make his debut until September due to the kneecap dislocation that ruled him out of EURO 2016.
On Friday, the 26-year-old used social media to post a picture of himself in his hospital bed with a heavily strapped right leg.
