Lyon confirm Depay arrival
Olympique Lyon have announced that Memphis Depay will be presented as a new player on Friday following the completion of his transfer from Manchester United.
The Holland international has agreed to join the Ligue 1 outfit after a transfer fee that could reportedly rise to as much as €25 million was accepted by United.
The 22-year-old, who took to Twitter to thank United fans and captain Wayne Rooney for their support during his time in the Premier League, has signed a contract that includes a buy-back option for Jose Mourinho's side.
Depay joined United from PSV in June 2015 but failed to live up to the high expectations at Old Trafford.
He quickly lost his starting berth under Louis van Gaal last term and only sparingly featured this campaign following the arrival of Mourinho.
The 22-year-old made just 4 Premier League appearances for United in 2016-2017 and has therefore been allowed to move on.

Rooney becomes United's all-time top goalscorer
Wayne Rooney has become the highest goalscorer in Manchester United's history, surpassing Bobby Charlton with his 250th goal for the club.
The 31-year-old drew level with Charlton in the FA Cup tie with Reading earlier this month but it is Saturday's Premier League match at Stoke City that will now go down in United folklore.
With United trailing 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium, Rooney was sent on as a substitute midway through the second half and earned a last-gasp draw for his side, curling a superb free-kick into the top-right corner from the edge of the box.
The goal also saw Rooney break another record - becoming the top Premier League goalscorer in away matches.
The strike was his 88th top flight goal on the road, moving him one clear of Alan Shearer in that category.
The England captain's landmark strike came in his 546th appearance, while Charlton took 758 games to reach 249 before leaving Old Trafford in 1973.
It has been a difficult season for Rooney, having to overcome losing his place in the starting XI at both club and international level, while he was also criticised in November for being pictured allegedly drunk while on England duty.
Rooney has broken the record less than 2 months after he became United's top European goalscorer, when he passed Ruud van Nistelrooy to reach 39 continental strikes after netting against Feyenoord on 24 November.
Rooney joined United from Everton in 2004 for a reported fee of £25,6 million and famously scored a hat-trick on his debut in a 6-2 Champions League win, against Fenerbahce.
The striker has twice hit his career-best tally of 34 goals in a season, in 2009-2010 and 2011-2012, while he has made it to double figures in all of his previous campaigns with the club.
He has won 5 Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, 2 League Cups and the Club World Cup during his career at Old Trafford.

Manchester United vs Saint-Etienne background
Manchester United's next step towards securing the only major UEFA trophy they have never won brings them face-to-face with AS Saint-Etienne, who they last met in 1977.
Manchester United have not lost in 12 UEFA home games against French opponents, but Saint-Etienne will hope 13 is their lucky number in what could be a Pogba vs Pogba encounter in the round of 32.
The clubs met in the first round of the 1977-1978 European Cup Winners' Cup. Dave Sexton's United earned a 1-1 draw in the first leg in France, but were ordered to play the return leg against Robert Herbin's side at least 200 km from Manchester due to crowd trouble.
They won that return fixture 2-0 at Home Park, Plymouth, Stuart Pearson and Steve Coppell the scorers.
United have never lost a home match against French opponents (W9 D3). Their overall record in 24 UEFA games against French teams is W12 D10 L2.
Saint-Etienne's 6 games against English sides have ended W1 D1 L4 - they have lost on all 3 of their previous trips to England.
United have won all 3 of their European home matches this season and are unbeaten in 14 UEFA games at Old Trafford (W11 D3) since a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in March 2013.
Saint-Etienne are undefeated in 10 European games this season (W5 D5).
United reached the last 16 in 2015-2016, but the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League remains the only major UEFA trophy they have not won. Continental champions in 1968, 1999 and 2008, the Red Devils lifted the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1991.
Losing European Cup finalists in 1976, Saint-Etienne were eliminated in last season's Europa League round of 32 by FC Basel. Their best campaigns in this competition ended in the quarter-finals in 1980 and 1981.
United's Paul Pogba is likely to come up against his older brother, Saint-Etienne defender Florentin Pogba. They have never met in a competitive game at club level.
United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic enjoyed playing Saint-Etienne during his time in France; he scored 14 goals in 13 games against Les Verts in all competitions.
Jose Mourinho took over as United manager last summer. Having made his name winning the UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions League with FC Porto, he lifted Europe's top club prize again with Internazionale Milano as well as 3 Premier League titles during two stints at Chelsea.
In Mourinho's last foray in this competition, he guided FC Porto to the 2003 UEFA Cup Final, where they edged Celtic 3-2 in Seville.
Saint-Etienne coach since 2009, Christophe Galtier steered Les Verts to French League Cup success in 2012-2013. He worked as assistant to Alain Perrin at Saint-Etienne prior to getting the top job. Originally a defender, he started his playing career at home-town club Olympique Marseille.

Mourinho hints at Carrick departure
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hinted midfielder Michael Carrick's future may not be at Old Trafford.
Carrick, who has made 11 Premier League appearances for United this season, is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
But, with Carrick turning 36-year-old in July, Mourinho hinted at a potential departure for the midfielder.
"Let's be honest. I have seen many positives in Carrick", he said, via the Daily Mirror.
"But I cannot go to his identity card and delete 5 years. Michael is not 30."
Carrick has been at United since 2006, making more than 400 competitive appearances for the club.

Ill Rooney left out of Manchester United squad
Wayne Rooney has been left out of the Manchester United squad for Sunday's Premier League game against champions Leicester City.
The 31-year-old did not travel with the rest of the first-team squad for the meeting at the King Power Stadium.
United later tweeted to confirm that the captain was ill.
Rooney had not been expected to start the match, with the England skipper failing to make the starting XI in a top flight game since the 2-0 win away to West Bromwich in December.
Full-back Luke Shaw was also omitted from Mourinho's plans for the 4th league match in a row. Anthony Martial was named among the substitutes once more, as was Michael Carrick.

United become first team to win 2000 PL points
Manchester United have become the first team in Premier League history to win 2000 points.
Jose Mourinho's side reached the landmark tally courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Goals from Juan Mata and Anthony Martial secured the win that moves United to within a point of the top 4 and extends their unbeaten league run to 16 matches.
It was also United's 599th win in the Premier League era, meaning they will become the first team to reach the 600 mark if they beat Bournemouth at home on 4 March.

Rooney, Carrick & Jones out of Saint-Etienne clash
Manchester United will be without captain Wayne Rooney and midfielder Michael Carrick for the Europa League clash with AS Saint-Etienne on Thursday, while Phil Jones remains sidelined.
The trio missed training on Wednesday and Mourinho confirmed at his pre-match news conference that they would not be involved in the first leg of United's last 32 tie against their Ligue 1 opponents.
Defender Jones has not featured since limping out of the 0-0 Premier League draw with Hull City earlier this month, when he sustained a bruised foot.
Rooney and Carrick will sit out as a precaution, with an FA Cup fifth round trip to Blackburn Rovers and the EFL Cup Final against Southampton concluding United's February schedule either side of the return leg in France.
To offset Jones' ongoing absence, Mourinho revealed Marcos Rojo would be fit to play, having missed out on the 2-0 weekend win over Watford, but the Argentina defender will not start.

Mkhitaryan and Carrick set to miss EFL Cup Final
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho expects to be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Michael Carrick for Sunday's EFL Cup Final against Southampton after the duo suffered injuries in the 1-0 Europa League win at Saint-Etienne.
Mkhitaryan opened the scoring after 16 minutes against their Ligue 1 opponents, opening up a 4-0 aggregate advantage in the last 32 tie that was never in danger.
But the former Borussia Dortmund star departed within 10 minutes of his goal with a hamstring problem, while Carrick went off shortly after the hour due to a calf complaint.
Mourinho told BT Sport he had no regrets over picking a strong side at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard despite the setbacks, but he is not hopeful over Mkhitaryan and Carrick's prospects.

Ibrahimovic to serve 3-match ban
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will serve a 3-match suspension after accepting a Football Association charge of violent conduct, Manchester United have confirmed.
The prolific attacker will consequently miss the FA Cup quarter-finals at Chelsea on Monday, followed by the Premier League matches against Middlesbrough and West Bromwich.
He is due to return in the home game with Everton on 4 April but remains eligible for United's Europa League clashes with FC Rostov.
Ibrahimovic was charged with alleged violent conduct by the FA in the wake of the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.
A hugely contentious game at Old Trafford saw Ibrahimovic catch Tyrone Mings with an elbow moments after what appeared to be a stamp on his head from the Bournemouth defender towards the end of the first half.
The 35-year-old has been a key figure for United this term, scoring 26 goals in 39 matches in all competitions.
