Villa signs new Valencia deal
David Villa has signed a new six-year contract with Valencia, ending speculation linking him with a late move to Real Madrid.
Villa was presented to the press along with club president Vicente Soriano and vice-president Fernando Gomez.
The 26-year-old striker increased his marketability with superb performances during Euro 2008 and it was believed that Real Madrid would use the money recouped from the sale of Robinho to bring much-needed youth to their forward line.
Instead Valencia retain his services, something that understandably delighted their president.
