An Irish company threw down the gauntlet on Friday to the worldwide scientific community to test a technology it has developed that it claims produces free energy.

The company is taking out a �75,000stg (€110,200) full-page advertisement in the issue of the Economist magazine that appears today, seeking scientists from around the world to form an independent jury to test its claims. The 12 chosen scientists would be fully funded by the company. Steorn says the results - whatever they reveal - will be published worldwide.

Here is the problem with this approach - show it to who? Many have shown videos of working devices - but what does that prove? Even a system that provides motion from magnets does not prove the point, since the enrgy to do this may be coming from the enrgy stored in the magnet, or elsewhere.

While very frustrating it is important that our technology is put through a full thermodynamic analysis, only this can answer the question. We look forward to the tests and the results!

Once our technology has been validated we expect many other companies to enter the market with technologies that also provide 'free energy'. We do not forsee that Steorn will be the only company that is offering this technology. Competition in this area is important, it is a necessitate.

The US patent office does not accept app. for OU devices. That is one part of the entire motor. It is a loophole to get around the red tape. Duh!
