Dave Seaman este unul dintre pionierii muzicii electronice. Este DJ de 25 de ani, a fost primul editor al bibliei clubberilor Mixmag si a mixat si produs muzica pentru toti de la U2 la Kylie Minogue, David Bowie pana la Pet Shop Boys. De asemenea a realizat peste 20 de compilatii pentru Global Underground si Renaissance, este omul din spatele caselor de discuri Stress Records si Audio Therapy dar totodata si-a gasit timp sa fie imaginea Levi's in Japonia, prezinta programe TV pentru BBC si face turul lumii probabil mai mult de cat oricare DJ.

Friend and Masters veteran Dave Seaman returns after a two-year absence to deliver a fresh, exciting mix of contemporary gems…

Mention Dave Seaman and thoughts of a Renaissance album are invariably never that far behind, so it’s fitting our most ‘capped’ player return to handle the honours for the 10th volume in the prestigious Masters Series.

The result is a varied excursion through electronica / dance, which – as ever – demonstrates Dave’s impeccable mixing and programming skills. Kicking-off from the left side of the field, Disc 1 blends two of dance hottest new properties, Apparat and Fairmont before taking-up the more traditional dance-reigns by way of Dusty Kids ‘Cowboys’. From there things rise to a quick gallop incorporating a who’s who of the current scene from Gui Boratto, Christian Fischer, Mark Knight, Skylark, Sasha and, of course, Underworld, who provide the closing crescendo with their very excellent ‘Beautiful Burnout’.

“I’ve always viewed the Masters Series as a lasting snapshot of the very best the scene has to offer at that time,” says Dave, “Getting the balance right is never an easy task, so it’s always a long, hard process, but that only serves to make the end result more rewarding. As ever, my greatest hope is the fans and all who listen to it enjoy it too.”

Dave keeps his self-imposed brief firmly in mind as he flips to the clubbier Disc 2, with contributions from Martin Buttrich, Solomun, Popof, Oliver Huntemann, Dubfire and Umek, concluding yet another incredible chapter in the Masters Series.

Wow!! What a party we had in Miami. Infact, I'd go as far as saying it was one of the best WMC parties I've ever done and I've been attending the conference for nearly 20 years! Many thanks to Nick Warren and the rest of the Hope crew and also Jon Cowan and his team at Shine, I look forward to next year!

No time to dwell too long though as April is a massive month of touring for me. I'm about to hit Hungary, Athens, Delhi, Jakarta, Dubai, Bristol, Romania, Houston and Mexico City (click on Diary) before my birthday at the end of the month all to promote my Renaissance Masters Volume 10 compilation which has once again got some great reviews. (Click here for all the latest press)

On top of all that, my new single 'Gobbledygook' is finished and if our webmeisters have got their act together, you should actually be hearing an exclusive preview of one of the mixes right now. If you're not, sorry. Normal service should be resumed shortly. Or you just go to my Myspace or Facebook pages and listen there.
