Dean Henderson has signed a new contract to keep him at Manchester United until June 2025, with the option to extend for a further year.
The goalkeeper has spent the last 2 campaigns out on loan at Sheffield United and has impressed under Chris Wilder earning himself a call-up to Gareth Southgate's squad for next month's Nations League fixtures.
Henderson kept 13 clean sheets in the league last season and many have backed him to replace David de Gea as first-choice at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to back the Spaniard but is a big fan of the young England goalkeeper and talks are ongoing as to what role he could play at United next season.
Chelsea have been interested in signing Henderson after his impressive form but United have been keen to tie him down to a new deal and the 23-year-old is happy to have signed a new deal.

Donny van de Beek has completed a medical in Holland ahead of his £40 million move from Ajax to Manchester United.
The 5-year deal, which is thought to be in the region of €39 million, plus another €5 million in add-ons, is expected to be completed in the next few days while the player is on international duty with Holland.
The 23-year-old had his medical while with the Netherlands squad ahead of their Nations League games against Poland (4 September) and Italy (7 September). He will travel to the UK after those fixtures.
United have scouted Van de Beek extensively, with the player left out of Ajax's squad for the Dutch champions' friendly with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday amid rumours of an imminent move away.
Van de Beek helped Ajax reach the 2018-2019 Champions League semi-finals, scoring 4 goals along the way and 40 in all competitions over the last 3 seasons.
In May, Ajax chief executive Edwin van der Sar confirmed the midfielder will be allowed to leave, but only for a suitable fee.

Manchester United are set to sign Alex Telles in a deal worth just over €15 million after a breakthrough in their negotiations with FC Porto.
The two clubs have been in talks over the left-back for a while, but failing to reach an agreement over the fee with United's first bid falling far below Porto's asking price.
However, Goal understands discussions had reached an advanced stage on Sunday and United were confident they could have a deal wrapped up for the full-back before Monday's deadline.
The deal is worth €15 million plus €2 million in add-ons, with an agreement in principle for a 4-year contract with an option for an additional year. Telles will fly in to Manchester on Monday to seal the deal.
It is believed the 27-year-old is wanted to bring competition to Luke Shaw at left-back while Brandon Williams, who has been deputising, is right footed and can provide back-up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is facing a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury sustained in Saturday's win at Everton.
The left-back limped off late in the second half at Goodison Park, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitting at the time he looked "in a bad way".
United now say Shaw, who has started 7 matches in 22 days, will be out for a month.
In a statement they said he "could miss upcoming Premier League games against West Bromwich, Southampton and West Ham, as well as Champions League clashes with Istanbul Basaksehir, Paris Saint-Germain and Leipzig".
United bolstered their options at left-back during the previous transfer window, signing Alex Telles from FC Porto.

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay wrote his name in the history books by becoming the first player in Premier League history to score twice in the first 3 minutes of a match against Leeds United on Sunday.
The Scotland international put United in front with a low 20-yard strike after just 69 seconds, the Red Devils' fastest top flight goal against Leeds.
McTominay repeated the trick a minute later. Anthony Martial’s pass found the onrushing midfielder, who took a neat first touch to get the ball out of his feet before firing past Whites goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
They were the type of goals more befitting of an accomplished attacking midfielder, rather than someone more known for his defensive capabilities.
McTominay had scored just 6 goals in his previous 68 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, with his last strike coming late on in the Manchester derby back in early March.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side went further ahead when a thunderous strike from Bruno Fernandes put the home side 3-0 up after just 20 minutes. That was the earliest Manchester United have scored 3 goals in a Premier League game since August 2006 against Fulham.
