Striker signs for Reggina after leaving City
Bernardo Corradi has joined Reggina after Manchester City confirmed the striker had been released from his contract.
The Italian joined City on a three-year deal from Valencia in 2006, but struggled to make an impact in English football.
He was sent off on his City bow against Chelsea and scored just three goals in 29 appearances during his debut season.
Corradi was loaned out to Parma last term and has now completed a permanent return to Serie A with Reggina.
The 32-year-old is understood to have signed a 12-month contract and has linked up with his Reggina team-mates for pre-season training.
Midfielder's future at Liverpool subject of speculation
Roma are reported to be lining up a move for Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun, skysports.com understands.
Benayoun's future at Liverpool has been the subject of speculation all summer with a number of clubs keen on signing him.
Manchester City and Benayoun's former club West Ham are thought to be tracking the Israeli schemer and now Roma have joined the chase for the 28-year-old.
Reports have suggested Liverpool may be prepared to sacrifice Benayoun after Rafa Benitez admitted he would have to sell before he can buy again this summer.
Roma chief Luciano Spalletti is in the market for a new attacking midfielder after seeing Amantino Mancini leave for Inter Milan and he is thought to be an admirer of Benayoun.
Juve skipper feels he can play until 40
Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero insists he has no imminent plans to retire from football.
He believes he could carry on playing until he is 40 and feels he retains the attributes to help Juve to success.
"I don't know when I'll hang up my boots," Del Piero told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I can certainly say that if I continue to feel the way I do now and have the same motivation, I could play another six or seven years.
"The desire to win and fight to be No.1 are aspects that have accompanied my career since the start.
"If you add to those the fact I believe in hard work and effort, then it becomes even easier. With these elements, victories are more likely to come your way."
