Klaassen extends Ajax contract
Ajax attacking midfielder Davy Klaassen revealed he did not feel ready to leave the Eredivisie club after signing a contract extension until 2019.
The Dutchman - who won the first of his 4 international caps for Holland in 2014 - joined the club's youth academy in 2004 and was handed the captain's armband at the start of the campaign.
Klaassen, 22-year-old, has made 108 appearances for the club and was keen to extend his stay at the Amsterdam ArenA despite having 3 years to run on his current deal.
Klaassen has scored 5 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for Ajax this term.

Thiago facing short spell out with knee injury
Thiago Alcantara has received positive news on his knee injury, with the Bayern Munchen midfielder set for a brief spell on the sidelines.
The 24-year-old sustained a proximal insertion of the medial collateral ligament on his right knee in Spain's 2-0 friendly win over England on Friday.
Thiago was forced off after just 27 minutes and was subsequently ruled out of Tuesday's meeting with Belgium.

Galatasaray part ways with Hamzaoglu
Galatasaray have parted company with head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu despite him leading the club to the domestic double last season.
Hamzaoglu took over from Cesare Prandelli in November 2014, initially until the end of the campaign.
However, the former assistant manager of Turkey was rewarded with a long-term contract extension after winning both the league and the cup.
He also steered the team to the Turkish SuperCup at the start of this season.
Galatasaray sit third in the Turkish Super Lig, 5 points behind leaders Besiktas.

Struggling Stuttgart fire Zorniger
VfB Stuttgart have announced they have parted company with head coach Alexander Zorniger with immediate effect following their underwhelming start to the 2015-2016 campaign.
The Mercedes-Benz ArenA outfit sit 16th in the Bundesliga with only 10 points from 13 games this season.
They were hammered 4-0 at home by fellow strugglers FC Augsburg at the weekend and have consequently decided to fire Zorniger.
The 48-year-old had been in charge of Stuttgart since the start of the season, after a previous successful spell with RB Leipzig.

Celtic captain Brown out for up to 3 months
Celtic captain Scott Brown could miss 3 months of action as a result of knee ligament damage.
Midfielder Brown twisted his knee in a challenge towards the end of Celtic's 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday and the Scottish champions are waiting for scan results to see how serious the injury is.
As well as Brown, Celtic are without Kris Commons, Nir Bitton and Stefan Johansen, who are all injured, with manager Ronny Deila hinting Scott Allan may be selected in midfield as a result.

Costa ruled out of Hertha clash
Bayern Munchen winger Douglas Costa will miss Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Hertha Berlin due to a thigh injury, the German champions have confirmed.
Costa opened the scoring for Bayern in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Olympiacos in the Champions League but was withdrawn 18 minutes from time for Javi Martinez.
The Brazil international will now miss Saturday's meeting at the Allianz ArenA, although Bayern stopped short of suggesting a potential return date.
Costa has impressed since moving to Bayern from Shakhtar Donetsk in July, scoring 5 times in 20 appearances.

Panathinaikos hit with 3-point penalty after violence
Panathinaikos have been deducted 3 points, fined €190,000 and ordered to play 4 games behind closed doors following the violence that forced the abandonment of their Super League clash with Olympiacos last month.
The match on 21 November was called off before a ball was kicked after home fans rioted inside and outside the stadium and threw flares at opposing players as they warmed up. 14 arrests were made and 3 police officers injured, one seriously.
Olympiacos have been handed a 3-0 win which means their 100% record remains intact. The league leaders have now claimed maximum points from each of their opening 12 games.
Pana are fifth, 17 points adrift.
