Olympique Lyon have announced the return of Tanguy Ndombele on a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old midfielder - who became Spurs' record signing when he joined from the Ligue 1 club for £55 million in July 2019 - will stay in France until the end of the season.
Lyon have paid a £1,2 million loan fee and retain the option to make the deal permanent in the summer for a reported £54 million.

Leverkusen sign Azmoun
Bayer Leverkusen have brought forward the signing of Sardar Azmoun, with the Iranian international joining from Zenit Sankt Petersburg on a 5-year contract with immediate effect, rather than from summer 2022 as originally agreed.
Azmoun, a 27-year-old forward with an eye for goals and assists, will compete for a place in Leverkusen's starting attack with Patrik Schick and Lucas Alario.
Capped 60 times by Iran, an impressive 39 goals for his country compliments his selection for the World Cup in 2018 and 2 Asian Cup squads in 2015 and 2019.
As well as being the youngest Iranian to score in a UEFA Champions League game, he is also the Iranian record-holder for the most goals scored in the competition with 6 goals.
He has spent his professional career entirely in the Russian top flight with 2 spells each at Rubin Kazan and FC Rostov preceeding his transfer to Zenit in 2019.
In Sankt Petersburg, he has found the net 62 times in 104 appearances across all competitions. He was named Russia's Footballer of the Year for 2021 and his impressive goal stats have continued into this season, in which he has scored 10 goals in 21 games - including 2 strikes in the Champions League.

Marin announces retirement from football
Former Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.
Marin, 33-year-old, played for 12 clubs during his time as a professional footballer, including Werder Bremen, Chelsea and FC Sevilla.
He began his career in Germany at Borussia Monchengladbach.
During this time he was called up to the Germany national team to make his senior international debut.
Before moving to Chelsea in 2012 he spent a brief spell with Werder Bremen where he played alongside Mesut Ozil.
He failed to properly establish himself in the Premier League despite winning the Europa League with the Blues.
Marin rarely had a spot in the starting line-up whilst at Chelsea, so the club decided to loan him out for 4 consecutive seasons before selling him to Olympiacos in 2016.
The midfielder has most recently been playing for Ferencvaros - a club that competes in the top flight of Hungarian football.
He's scored one goal in 13 appearances so far this season.
Marin has made it clear that he has no intention to continue playing once the season is over.

Muller signs new Bayern deal
Thomas Muller has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with Bayern Munchen, the German champions have confirmed.
The 32-year-old's contract, which was originally set to expire in 2023, has been extended until 2024.
Muller, who has spent his entire career at Bayern, making 624 appearances with 226 goals and 242 assists to his name, commented:
"I'm delighted to have extended my contact with Bayern Munchen until 2024 today. The journey we've been on since I joined the FCB academy in 2000 has been a fantastic success story up to now. It gives me immense pleasure to hold up the red colors year after year, on and off the pitch - even if the wind blows in your face from time to time. So, let's keep going together!"
Witsel confirms Dortmund departure
Axel Witsel has confirmed that he will be leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, when his contract expires.
"We concede too many goals, this season and also last season, we have to improve that for next season", Witzel told WAZ after Saturday's 3-4 defeat against Bochum.
"I said 'we', but I won't be there at all, I'll be gone next season", he added.
"I am very happy that I have played here for 4 years at the highest level. But I am sad to leave the club, I have many friends and great team-mates here", Witsel continued.

Mbappe agrees contract extension with PSG
Kylian Mbappe has agreed to sign a new 3-year deal to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 23-year-old France international, whose current contract is due to expire on 30 June, had been widely expected to leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of the season.
La Liga champions and Champions League finalists Real Madrid were reportedly close to finalising a move for Mbappe before the player's dramatic U-turn.
The World Cup winner, who joined PSG from AS Monaco for €180 million in 2017, was on course to leave the club on a free transfer upon the expiry of his existing deal.
Real's bid to sign Mbappe last year for a reported €200 million was rejected by PSG, who appeared prepared to lose him for nothing this summer.
Mbappe's new contract, which is likely to keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2025, has not been signed yet.
PSG are understood to have offered Mbappe a pay package worth £4 million per month, double his current terms, making him the highest earner in the game.
An extension would also secure a mammoth signing-on figure in the region of £100 million, and includes concessions over image rights as well as bonuses for goals, Ballon d'Or honours and Champions League success.

Schick signs new long-term deal with Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen have fended off growing interest in Patrik Schick by tying the Czech striker down to a new long-term contract.
Schick's contract, which was due to expire in 2025, has been extended by a further 2 years until 2027.
The 26-year-old, who scored 24 goals in 27 appearances through the 2021-2022 season, stated:
"I just feel comfortable here. But above all, our team has a lot of promise for the future. It's a lot of fun with these guys, and we have great desire to really pull something off. Qualifying for the Champions League is a good next step. A lot is possible here, which is exactly why I extended my contract with Bayer."

Bayern confirm Tolisso departure
After 5 years in Bayern shirt, Germany's record champions Bayern Munchen and French central midfielder Corentin Tolisso are officially going their separate ways. After an injury-plagued last 2 seasons, there seemed to be little impetus for extending the 27-year-old's expiring contract. There were nevertheless some exploratory talks between club and player earlier this year that ultimately led nowhere.
Injuries limited Tolisso to just 72 appearances in a total possible 170 league games. The Frenchman - now available to any club on a free transfer - has seen his estimated market value sink from the €41,5 million Bayern paid to Olympique Lyon in 2017 to just €15 million today.

The Germany international winger had seen a move away from the Allianz ArenA speculated on, with a possible return to the Premier League at Chelsea or Arsenal, or fresh start at Real Madrid speculated on.
The 27-year-old will, however, be sticking around with the Bundesliga champions for some time yet, with his immediate future committed to the side that snapped him up from Werder Bremen in 2017.
