Sandro completes West Bromwich loan move
West Bromwich Albion have completed the loan signing of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sandro.
The Premier League club confirmed on Friday that the Brazil international, who last played for his country in 2012, has undergone a successful medical and joined them until the end of the season.
West Bromwich have the option to make the move a permanent one at the end of the campaign.
Sandro, who has been given the number 30 shirt, was delighted to make a return to Premier League football after spending the first half of the season with QPR in the Championship.
"I spoke to the manager and was impressed. This is a big club and I feel happy to be here and very happy to be back in the Premier League."
"I believe I have a lot to offer. It was my first day today and I am looking forward to being part of this family."
"As a player I play with my heart, I give all I can on the pitch - all the time I want to win the ball and play the ball. I hope the fans will see the best of me during my time."
Wilshere suffers another injury set-back
Jack Wilshere is expected to be out of action until mid-March, as his lengthy recovery from a fractured fibula continues to drag on.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had previously stated his optimism that his central midfielder would return to fitness by the end of February.
However, the French manager has now confirmed the England international is still a while off returning to the first-team, with his hopes of a EURO 2016 squad place beginning to dwindle.
"Jack is starting to run", Wenger told reporters.
"Once you move out, from the first day, you count 6 weeks to be competitive and build up stamina and intensity. You need 6 weeks to be ready fitness-wise."
Wilshere has not made a single appearance for Arsenal all season after suffering an injury in training on the eve of this season's Community Shield.
The 24-year-old continues to be plagued by injuries and has seen his recuperation set back following surgery in mid-September.

Amat extends Swansea stay
Swansea City defender Jordi Amat has agreed a new one-year contract with the Premier League club.
Amat arrived from Espanyol on a 4-year deal in 2013 and has made 48 appearances for Swansea, agreeing an extension to 2018 in March last year.
The Spaniard has once again extended his stay by a year despite recent managerial changes at the Welsh club following Francesco Guidolin's appointment as head coach for the remainder of 2015-2016.
The Italian took over from interim coach Alan Curtis this month following Garry Monk's departure in December.

Guardiola to replace Pellegrini as City manager
Pep Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini as City manager in the summer.
Pellegrini announced in a press conference on Monday that he will be leaving his post at the end of the season. City swiftly issued a press release to announce his replacement.
"Manchester City can confirm that in recent weeks it has commenced and finalised contractual negotiations with Pep Guardiola", it read.
Bayern Munchen announced last month that Guardiola was set to end his 3-year reign as coach in the summer, with Carlo Ancelotti taking over.
Guardiola, who won 3 La Liga titles and 2 UEFA Champions Leagues in his first coaching job at FC Barcelona, is on course to make it a hat-trick of Bundesliga crowns with Bayern, who are 8 points clear at the summit.
Pellegrini has been City coach since summer 2013, winning the Premier League in his first season in charge.
His team are currently second in the English top flight, 3 points adrift of leaders Leicester.

Vardy agrees new Leicester deal
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract to keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2019.
The England international and leading scorer in the Premier League has displayed the best form of his career this term and helped Leicester into contention for the title.
Vardy's deal was due to expire in 2018 but, following reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid in recent months, the 29-year-old has signed fresh terms.
Vardy, who has 4 England caps, has enjoyed a remarkable rise to prominence, given that he was playing non-League football in 2012.
