Gundogan wins Player of the Month award
Ilkay Gundogan has become the first Manchester City player to win back-to-back EA SPORTS Player of the Month awards after claiming the prize for February 2021.
The midfielder produced 4 goals and an assist in the month as he became the first German to win the accolade more than once.
"I am very proud to win this award again but I am most proud of being part of this amazing team", he told Man City's official website.
"To win all our games in February, like we did in January, is amazing. Hopefully we can continue like this because, ultimately, winning trophies is what matters."
The last time City players won in consecutive months was in 2016, with Sergio Aguero claiming in April's prize, followed by Raheem Sterling in August.
Guardiola earns Manager of the Month award
Pep Guardiola has claimed back-to-back Barclays Manager of the Month awards after winning February's prize.
The Manchester City manager guided his Premier League leaders to 6 successive victories in the month to extend their winning run to 14 league matches and 20 across all competitions.
City started the month with a 6th successive clean sheet in a 2-0 win at Burnley, before winning at champions Liverpool and then beating Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Arsenal and West Ham.
It is the ninth time Guardiola has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award. Only Sir Alex Ferguson (27), Arsene Wenger (15) and David Moyes (10) can better his total.

Aguero to leave Man City at the end of the season
Manchester City have announced that striker Sergio Aguero will leave the club at the end of the season.
The Argentinian is out of contract in the summer and the club have confirmed that he will not sign a new deal.
Aguero, who joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, is sure to attract the interest of a number of top clubs with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain linked with potential moves for the 32-year-old.
Aguero was keen to stay but has started just 5 Premier League and Champions League matches this season after being troubled by illness and injury.
After suffering a knee injury in the first game of Project Lockdown in June, he had surgery which ruled him out until October.
He then had a hamstring setback and missed another 10 games because of coronavirus regulations and has been struggling to prove his match sharpness.
With 257 goals from 384 appearances, Aguero is the club's record goalscorer overtaking Eric Brook's 78-year record in 2017 and City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed a statue of him has been commissioned.
He is the highest scoring overseas player in Premier League history - and 4th overall - and has won 10 major trophies during his time at the Etihad Stadium, including 4 Premier League titles.
Iheanacho extends Leicester contract until 2024
Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a new 3-year contract with Leicester, keeping him at the King Power Stadium until 2024.
The Nigerian striker has been rewarded after scoring 7 goals in his last 4 games in all competitions, a run of form that saw him win the Premier League Player of the Month award for March.
He has 9 goals in his last 9 games - having failed to score in his previous 12 matches - and netted his first Premier League hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Sheffield United on 14 March.
Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City in 2017 and has gone on to score 32 goals in 117 games for the Foxes.
Iheanacho wins Player of the Month award
Kelechi Iheanacho has been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for March 2021.
The forward scored 5 goals in March to become the 4th Nigerian player to win the award, after Jay Jay Okocha, Peter Odemwingie and Odion Ighalo.
Iheanacho is also the first Leicester City player to claim the prize since Jamie Vardy in October 2019.
Iheanacho began March by scoring only his second goal of the EPL season with a volley in a 1-1 draw at Burnley that was nominated for the Budweiser Goal of the Month award.
3 days later he struck the equaliser as Leicester came from behind to win 2-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion, and he then scored his first EPL hat-trick in the 5-0 victory over Sheffield United.
Tuchel earns Manager of the Month award
Thomas Tuchel has claimed the Barclays Manager of the Month award for March 2021.
The Chelsea head coach wins the prize for the first time after just his second full month in charge at Stamford Bridge, becoming the second German to win the award following Jurgen Klopp.
Tuchel started March by guiding his side to a 1-0 victory against Klopp's Liverpool, the Blues' first win at Anfield since 2014.
A 2-0 home success against Everton followed, before Tuchel oversaw a goalless draw at Leeds to stretch his unbeaten start in the Premier League to 10 matches.

De Bruyne signs 2-year contract extension
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has signed a 2-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2025.
The Belgium international, whose existing deal was due to expire in 2023, is 30-year-old in June and now looks set to see out most of the remainder of his career at the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne has had a glittering spell since joining the club from VfL Wolfsburg in 2015, winning 7 major trophies, which could become 11 by the end of the season if City are successful in their hunt for a quadruple.
De Bruyne, who was named as the Professional Footballers' Association's player of the year in 2020, is having another impressive campaign, with 7 goals and 16 assists.
Tierney to miss up to 6 weeks
Arsenal are set to be without left-back Kieran Tierney for a period of between 4 to 6 weeks after the Gunners confirmed he has suffered knee ligament damage.
The Scotland international suffered the injury during the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, with Tierney replaced just before half-time at the Emirates Stadium.
And the north Londoners have now confirmed the severity of the issue, with Goal having reported on Tuesday that they were fearing a prolonged absence for the defender.
With Arsenal having stated that their Scottish left-back could miss as many as 6 weeks of action, Tierney is likely to be absent for the majority of the remainder of the 2020-2021 campaign.

Lingard wins Player of the Month award
Jesse Lingard has been rewarded for his superb form for West Ham United in April with the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
The winger, who arrived on loan from Manchester United in January, has won the prize at the third attempt after also being short-listed in February and March.
Lingard scored 4 goals and claimed an assist in April, starting with a superb solo strike at Wolverhampton Wanderers before he teed up Jarrod Bowen's effort in the 3-2 win.
He then scored twice in a 3-2 victory over Leicester City, and was on target again in a loss by the same scoreline at Newcastle United.
The 28-year-old wins the honour for the first time and is the first West Ham player to claim the accolade since Michail Antonio in July 2020.
Bruce claims Manager of the Month award
Steve Bruce has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for April 2021.
Newcastle's manager wins the prize for the first time, 19 years and 465 matches into his Premier League managerial career, after last month's 4-match unbeaten run helped his side to ultimately secure safety.
April began with a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, before the Magpies came from behind again to win 2-1 at Burnley.
Newcastle then responded to a West Ham fightback by scoring a late winner in a 3-2 victory, before grabbing a 1-1 draw at Liverpool thanks to Joe Willock's stoppage-time equaliser.

Espirito Santo to leave Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will leave the club after their final Premier League match of the season against Manchester United on Sunday.
Wolverhampton confirmed the news via a club statement on Friday, stating the decision has been taken by "mutual agreement" despite the Portuguese signing a new 3-year deal at the club in September 2020.
Nuno's departure is not linked to vacant managerial positions at other clubs and he will now take time to consider his next career move.
The 47-year-old leaves 4 years after originally taking charge of Wolves, having restored the side's Premier League status and leading them to Europa League quarter-finals in 2020.
In his first season at Molineux Stadium, he won the Championship title with 2 games to spare leading the club back to the Premier League after a 6-year absence, which earned him a contract extension until June 2021.
He established Wolverhampton as Premier League regulars in the following seasons, securing back-to-back 7th place finishes which earned the club a spot in the Europa League, their first European qualification in 39 years.
After 3 qualifying rounds which included victory over FC Torino, Wolves came second in a group including Sporting Braga, Besiktas and Slovan Bratislava.
Their European path was interrupted by a late 1-0 defeat to eventual winners FC Sevilla at the quarter-finals stage.
Wes Morgan to retire at the end of the season
Leicester City's Premier League-winning captain Wes Morgan will retire at the end of the season.
The 37-year-old was out of contract in the summer while Christian Fuchs, who also lifted the Premier League in 2016, and Matt James will leave the King Power Stadium.
Morgan led the Foxes to their historic title win and was also a late substitute in last Saturday's FA Cup Final win over Chelsea.
He could make his final appearance in Sunday's must-win Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur as Leicester chase a top 4 finish and Champions League qualification.
Morgan has made 324 appearances for Leicester since joining from Nottingham Forest in January 2012, scoring 14 goals.
His career spanned the top 4 divisions of English football, making over 750 appearances. He was named in the Football League's Team of the Decade, the Championship Team of the Year on 3 occasions and the PFA Team of the Year in 2016.

Kane wins EPL Golden Boot for a third time
Harry Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the third time, with the Tottenham Hotspur striker notching 23 goals for the season.
The England captain finished a single strike ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, sealing his success with a final-day strike against Leicester City in a 4-2 win.
With Spurs trailing 1-0 and needing inspiration, Kane fired an equaliser via a powerful volley that passed through the legs of home goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Kane has passed the 20-goal mark in the Premier League for the fifth time in the last 7 years, though the first time since the 2017-2018 campaign.
His 23 goals mark his 4th best haul in England's top flight, though he has won the Golden Boot only twice previously. He achieved the feat in 2016-2017, when he scored 29 times in 30 outings and replicated his achievement the following season when he hit the 30-goal mark for the first and so far only time in his career, albeit from 7 additional matches.

Willock wins Player of the Month award
Joe Willock's fantastic end to the season for Newcastle United has been recognised with May's EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
Willock, who arrived on loan from Arsenal in the January transfer window, scored in each of Newcastle's final 4 matches in May.
Having also been prolific in April, he became only the second Newcastle player after Alan Shearer to score in 7 successive Premier League appearances.
Willock is the first Newcastle player to claim the monthly prize since goalkeeper Tim Krul in November 2013.
The 21-year-old began May with a goal in the impressive 4-2 victory at Leicester City before finding the net again as Newcastle ran champions Manchester City close, narrowing losing 4-3.
In the final week of the season he scored the decisive goal in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United before matching Shearer's record with a strike in the 2-0 success at Fulham.
Klopp claims Manager of the Month award
Jurgen Klopp has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for May.
Klopp receives the prize after overseeing 5 straight victories as Liverpool made a late surge into the Champions League spots and secured a third place finish on the final day.
The month began with a 2-0 home win over Southampton, followed by a 4-2 success at Manchester United.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker then headed in a last-gasp winner at West Bromwich Albion before the Reds earned another away victory over Burnley and beat Crystal Palace in their last match.
Klopp has now won 9 Barclays monthly awards, moving level with Manchester City's Pep Guardiola.

Murray announces retirement
Former Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Place forward Glenn Murray has announced his retirement from football.
The 37-year-old spent the second half of the season at Nottingham Forest on a short-term deal after leaving Brighton.
Linking up with former Seagulls manager Chris Hughton, the striker went on to score 2 goals in 16 appearances for Nottingham.
However, with his contract expiring at the end of June, Murray took to social media to announce he is hanging up his boots.
Murray joined Brighton in 2008, firing them to the League One title in 2011 with 22 goals and going on to become a firm favourite during his 3 years at the club.
A move to Crystal Palace followed where he scored 30 times during the Eagles' promotion winning season to the Premier League in 2013, which was a Championship record until Brentford's Ivan Toney eclipsed him this term.
Murray returned to Brighton in 2016 and helped them go up to the Premier League for the first time in their history with 23 goals in the first season of his second spell with the Seagulls.
Overall, the forward found the net 111 times for Brighton to place him second on the club's all-time scoring list.
