Lascelles out until New Year
Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles has been ruled out until the New Year after suffering a knee injury during Saturday's victory over Bournemouth.
The central defender sustained the injury in a collision with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and was forced off after just 20 minutes at St. James' Park.
Lascelles has started all 12 of Newcastle's Premier League games this season, helping Steve Bruce's side to 13th in the table.
The 26-year-old appears likely to miss at least 8 games, with the Premier League set to embark on its busiest month of the season in December.

Pochettino sacked by Tottenham
Mauricio Pochettino has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after 5 years in charge of the club.
Pochettino led Spurs to top 4 finishes in 4 of his 5 seasons in charge, as well as their first Champions League Final in the 2018-2019 campaign.
However, Tottenham have won just 5 matches this season and chairman Daniel Levy said a change had to be made in the "club's best interests".
Tottenham enjoyed a hugely successful European campaign last season, with dramatic wins over Manchester City and Ajax in the knockout stages earning them a place in the Final, where they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool.
After that defeat, Pochettino warned Spurs faced a "painful" rebuild, with several senior players reaching the last year of their contracts.
But he has been forced to rely on several players whose deals expire at the end of the season after the club endured another quiet summer in the transfer market.
Their domestic form has been poor for most of 2019, and since a 3-1 win over Leicester on 10 February, Spurs have won just 6 of their 24 Premier League matches. They are currently 14th in the table and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Colchester United.

Mourinho appointed Tottenham head coach
Jose Mourinho has been named Tottenham Hotspur head coach until the end of the 2023 season.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea manager replaces Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked on Tuesday with the club 14th in the Premier League.
Having decided it was time to act, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy drew up a shortlist which included Mourinho, Leipzig's Julian Nagelsmann, former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and Paris Saint-Germain's Thomas Tuchel.
Negotiations between Spurs and Mourinho - who had been out of work since he was sacked by United in December - intensified over the last few days and concluded in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Mourinho was promised funds to improve the squad in January and in the summer transfer window, if he felt necessary.
He will take training at Hotspur Way on Wednesday ahead of his first game on Saturday - against West Ham at the London Stadium.

Arsenal sack Emery
Arsenal have sacked head coach Unai Emery after the club's worst run of results since 1992.
Arsenal are without a win in their last 7 matches following Thursday's 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
The Gunners have won only 4 of their 13 Premier League games this season and are now eighth, 8 points adrift of the Champions League places.
Emery was appointed head coach at Arsenal in 2018 on a 2-year deal, succeeding Arsene Wenger after his 22 years in charge of the club.
However, the Spaniard has been sacked after just 18 months in the role "due to results and performances not being at the level required", according to a club statement.
Freddie Ljungberg, former Arsenal midfielder and member of "The Invincibles", will take charge of the first team while the club searches for a permanent replacement for Emery.

Richarlison signs new Everton deal
Richarlison has signed a new long-term deal with Everton, committing his future to the club until 2024.
The forward was Marco Silva's first signing at Goodison Park in a £40 million 5-year deal in 2018 and has scored 20 goals in 55 games in all competitions.
Richarlison, who has won 19 Brazil caps, attracted interest from various European clubs during the summer transfer window and Everton rebuffed offers for him in January.
Everton sit 17th in the Premier League and face Liverpool at Anfield in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday, with Silva under pressure after a run of 2 wins in their last 10 games.

Silva sacked by Everton
Everton have sacked Marco Silva after Wednesday's 5-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby left them 18th in the Premier League.
The club confirmed his departure on Thursday evening after lengthy talks with club owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright at their Finch Farm training ground.
Duncan Ferguson is set to take temporary charge of the first team ahead of Saturday's game against Chelsea, with Everton saying "the club aims to confirm a new permanent manager as swiftly as possible".
Silva arrived in May 2018 and led Everton to an eighth place finish last season - but they are currently on a run of one win in 6 and have just 14 points from 15 Premier League games this campaign.
A number of candidates are being considered to take over from Silva, with former manager David Moyes one of the names on the list.
The Scot, who previously managed Everton from 2002-2013, has been out of work since leaving West Ham in the summer of 2018.
Everton face a daunting run of fixtures over the festive period - hosting Chelsea on Saturday and also facing Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City in their next 6 league games, before travelling to Anfield again to face Liverpool in the FA Cup third round.

Saint-Maximin ruled out for a month
Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin has been ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury, Sky Sports News understands.
The 22-year-old is set to miss to up to 7 games over the festive period, including Premier League games against Manchester United and Leicester City and the third round of the FA Cup.
Saint-Maximin injured his hamstring towards the end of Sunday's 2-1 win over Southampton, and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
Following a scan on Tuesday, he has been dealt the news that he won't return to action until mid-January - Newcastle initially feared it would be longer.
The £17 million signing from Nice had been in good form in recent weeks as Steve Bruce's side picked up 7 points from 9 in the league.
He scored his first Premier League goal against Sheffield United last week.

Klopp signs new Liverpool deal
Jurgen Klopp has extended his contract at Liverpool until 2024, saying he could not contemplate leaving the European champions.
The 52-year-old arrived at Anfield in October 2015 and lifted his first silverware with the club this year, winning the Champions League in June and the UEFA SuperCup in August.
Klopp has also taken Liverpool to the top of the Premier League this season - establishing an 8-point lead - making them odds-on favourites to win their first title since 1990.
Milner signs new Liverpool deal
James Milner has signed a new contract with Liverpool, keeping him at Anfield until the summer of 2022.
The versatile 33-year-old, who joined on a free transfer from Manchester City in 2015 and has made 198 appearances, follows manager Jurgen Klopp in penning a new deal and is now set to stay at the club until he is 36.
Milner, who Klopp described as a "role model" in September, helped Liverpool win the Champions League last season and recently urged his team-mates to keep the "pedal down" in their quest for the Premier League title this term, with the club currently topping the table by 8 points.
Vice-captain Milner has played 21 times this season, with arguably his most important appearance coming against title rivals Leicester in October, where he scored a 95th-minute penalty to seal a 2-1 victory.
Ake out for 6 weeks
Nathan Ake has been ruled out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury - meaning he may have played his last game for the south coast club.
The centre-back, who was forced off during the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, is a January transfer target for Chelsea and Manchester City and is not expected to be fit until the last weekend of next month.
Manager Eddie Howe told Sky Sports News earlier this week that Ake's future is "out of my hands", nodding towards a £40 million buy-back clause in Ake's contract that exists for former club Chelsea.
