Eto'o nu mai are liniste la Barcelona! Camerunezul pare din ce in ce mai decis sa plece de pe Nou Camp dupa ce relatiile cu oficialii blaugrana s-au racit, iar noua tinta a jucatorului este tocmai rivala Real Madrid, scrie prasa spaniola.

Presa spaniola dezvaluie in editia de azi ca Eto'o s-a rugat de seful madrilenilor , Ramon Calderon sa il ia pe Bernabeu. Intr-o intalnire la Viena pe 29 iunie, Eto'o i-a trasmis lui Ramon Calderon ca l-ar face foarte fericit daca i-ar da sansa sa joaca in tricoul Madridului din sezonul urmator.
"Nu stiu de unde a aparut asta. Presupun ca Barcelona cum este logic, nu l-ar vinde niciodata Madridului. Asta e cazul", a comentat seful madrilenilor posibilitatea unei aduceri a camerunezului pe Bernabeu.

S-a schimbat preşedintele la Valencia

Acţionarul majoritar al clubului spaniol Valencia, Juan Soler, l-a demis pe consultantul financiar al grupării, Juan Villalonga, şi a vândut acţiunile către fostul rival Vicente Soriano. Această mutare are drept scop scoaterea Valenciei din impasul financiar în care clubul a intrat în urmă cu ceva timp.

Gruparea spaniolă se confruntă de mai multe luni cu probleme financiare, iar Villalonga, fostul şef al companiei de telecomunicaţii Telefonica Movistar, a fost adus la club luna trecută pentru a realiza un plan de redresare, dar Soler l-a acuzat că nu şi-a îndeplinit atribuţiile. "Vreau să fie clar că Villalonga nu a plecat pentru că aşa a vrut, ci a fost demis. El a avut o perioadă de probă şi a eşuat. Noi suntem un club viabil din punct de vedere economic, chiar dacă trecem printr-o perioadă dificilă", a explicat Soler în cadrul unei conferinţe de presă.

Soler a decis să-şi vândă pachetul majoritar de acţiuni către Soriano, pentru 71.6 milioane de euro, iar noul acţionar majoritar a preluat şi funcţia de preşedinte la Valencia. "Nu vreau să fac nici un euro din această tranzacţie. Soriano va avea acum toată puterea şi suportul meu", a spus Soler.

Villalonga a afirmat de curând că Valencia este în pericol de faliment, pentru că are datorii de 439 de milioane de euro, la care se adaugă 350 de milioane de euro pentru construirea noului stadion.

Presa spaniolă scrie că oficialii grupării se gândesc să-i vândă pe David Villa şi David Silva pentru a face rost de bani, riscând altfel sa ajungă în situaţia din sezonul trecut a celor de la Levante.

Madrid turn to Van der Vaart

The Spanish champions have made it clear they want to land one creative talent, but they have been frustrated by United’s stubbornness regarding Ronaldo.

Now it appears that they may have finally drawn a line under the Portuguese pursuit this summer, elevating van der Vaart to ‘number one target’ status.

However, they appear to have been met with some resistance from Hamburg too, who have rejected Madrid’s first offer outright.

“The offer was absolutely out of the question,” Hamburg’s sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer told SID.

Van der Vaart can leave for just £1.2 million when he enters the final year of his contract, which expires in 2010.

Madrid’s offer reportedly played on Hamburg’s desperation to avoid such a scenario, but the German giants are determined to seek a better price.

Juventus şi Barcelona ar putea ajunge în perioada următoare la un consens privind trecerea lui David Trezeguet pe Nou Camp, printr-un schimb cu Eto'o.

Atacantul francez reprezintă una din priorităţile noului antrenor al catalanilor, Josep Guardiola, care a declarat că îl preferă pe Treze-gol lui Adebayor si Drogba. Deşi oficialii torinezi au negat de mai multe ori posibilitatea despărţirii de Trezeguet, un schimb cu Eto'o este tot mai vehiculat în presa din peninsulă. Capel Leaves Next Move In Sevilla's Hands

"I am calm and am only thinking about succeeding here at the moment. It is clear that in the future you do not know what can happen, but I have a contract with Sevilla and I am comfortable," he told Marca.

"The only way that things could change would be if another club and Sevilla came to an arrangement."

Following the sale of Seydou Keita, Dani Alves and Christian Poulsen, Sevilla have added to the squad and Capel is pleased to see the newcomers raise the level.

"The more competition that there is the better it is for the team. It is good for us all to work harder and to make thing more difficult for the coach," he continued.

"I think the team will improve a lot next season and I am sure that we will not notice the players that have left as much as people are saying."

Ronaldo Is Great, But Van Der Vaart Will Do - Schuster

Bernd Schuster has told Real Madrid that he wants to strengthen his squad and that he would be just as happy with Rafael Van der Vaart as he would with Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Ronaldo is the best in the world at the moment, but if we cannot sign him then I would be just as happy with Van der Vaart," AS quote the coach as stating.

"It was a ridiculous offer and that is why we rejected it," said the Bundeslinga outfit's sporting director Didi Beiersdorfer.

"We promised to consider letting Van der Vaart go this summer if an offer from a big club arrived."

While Madrid are reported to have offered just €6m for Van der Vaart, Hamburg want at least €11m and only a push from Schuster could see the reigning Primera champions raise their offer.

Maniche sticking with Atletico

Atletico Madrid's Portugal international midfielder Maniche, loaned out to Inter Milano last season after a falling out with manager Javier Aguirre, is sticking with the Spanish club next season.

"There is no Maniche case, the problem is sorted out, he's an Atletico player", club president Enrique Cerezo said.

The 30-year-old, who joined Atletico in 2006, has patched up his differences with Aguirre in recent weeks.

"When I'm in the wrong I recognise it. It's important to know when you've made a mistake and to sort things out", he said.

Maniche did not join Atletico Madrid on its pre-season tour of Mexico as the club was in the process of trying to negotiate his departure.

Saviola Still Intent On Madrid Stay

Javier Saviola has reiterated his desire to stay at Real Madrid and try to earn himself more playing time under Bernd Schuster than he was given last season.

"It is most important to have the confidence of the coach so that he will count on me during the season," he told Marca.

"I hope next term I can enjoy more time playing for Madrid than I did last term.

"At the moment I am staying with Real Madrid, although in the world of football you always have to live day-by-day, because things can change at any moment.

"I am currently working in pre-season and when that comes to an end we will see if I stay or go."

Madrid's interest in David Villa and Carlos Tévez could meant that they need to raise funds by selling off their fringe players quickly and that could see Saviola moved on.

Ex-Gunner backs Albelda

Edu has backed David Albelda to revive his career at Valencia.

Spanish midfielder Albelda has been told by Los Ches to find new employers this summer, but Brazilian Edu is adamant his departure would be a blow.

The former Arsenal player claims it would be difficult for Valencia to find a suitable replacement for the 30-year-old.

"I commented to several team-mates in the dressing room that David is super-important for our team", Edu told AS.

Senna to snub foreign offer

Marcos Senna has committed his future to Villarreal by snubbing a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

But Senna, once linked to Arsenal, has high aims with Villarreal and is not thinking of departing El Madrigal.

“I want to play the next World Cup with Spain and I’m hopeful I’ll be able to win the Champions League with Villarreal, that’s my dream,” Senna said.

“I’ve been living in Spain for six years and feel great at Villarreal. For sure I’ll return to Brazil when my contract is over, where I’m building a house to live at with my wife and son.

“Luis [Aragones] is a great man and a Brazilian football admirer, he told us [Spain] he wanted us to play like Brazil, even though Spain don’t have the same winning mentality.”

Soldado Has Mixed Feelings Over Getafe Move

Soldado completed his move to the Madrid-based club on Tuesday following an eight year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu. He is now looking forward to his new adventure and is eager to impress but he reveals it wasn't easy to leave the Spanish Champions.

"I am very happy at having joined Getafe but I am also sad at having left Real Madrid after all those years there," Soldado told Marca.

"I learned so much at Real and the fans showed me so much affection. My family were also able to see me play for Real and it was a dream come true. Now I am hoping to do well with Getafe and work hard in order to do so.

"I would like to thank Getafe for the faith and confidence they have showed in me and I am looking to pay them back with plenty of goals."

The Getafense player has signed a four year deal and it is believed the club will pay a total fee of around €6m.

Soldado only managed one appearance last term after spending most of the season on the bench and he will now be looking forward to some regular football with his new side.

Eto'o could stay says Laporta

FC Barcelona could make a u-turn and decide to keep Samuel Eto'o at the club.

Barca supremo Joan Laporta reckons Eto'o has shown exemplary behaviour during pre-season training, despite having been told by coach Josep Guardiola he has no future at Camp Nou.

The Cameroon international, who has been hailed as an exceptional player by a number of his team-mates, may well remain with the Blaugrana.

"Samuel's case is not irreversible, but will always be a technical and sporting decision", Laporta told a press conference.

"What is certain is that Eto'o has a contract with FC Barcelona and he is showing a good attitude during pre-season."

Laporta Upset Over Messi Incident

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has only reluctantly allowed Lionel Messi to travel to the Olympic games, stating in the aftermath that it was unjust that he was compelled to do so...

"We will continue with our position before the CAS in order to get Messi back for the Champions League," he said.

"It's unfair because this is not a tournament where a first team is used, but rather an Olympic one with an amateur spirit."

He further added that it would make no sense to turn the Games into "another World Cup."

To this end the president is keen to state that this is far from over, and that "if the TAS finds in favour of the club, Messi will have to come back."

Nonetheless he added that his intention here was not to harm in any way the young Argentine, who is keen to represent the albiceleste.

Van Der Vaart To Miss Madrid Clash?

Hamburg midfielder, Rafael Van der Vaart, may not play against Real Madrid during the Emirates Cup, as talks regarding a possible switch to Los Merengues are at an advanced stage, according to Marca.

The Spanish side are also looking to use the “neutral” ground to help them wrap up a deal for the promising star.

Van der Vaart could find himself wearing the Los Blancos jersey as early as next week if the deal goes through.

However, Real may consider delaying their swoop for the Dutchman following Ronaldo’s bombshell on Thursday morning.

The Portuguese international revealed he will tell Manchester United that he wants to play for the La Liga champions and this may scupper the VDV move.

Thuram retires from football

Lilian Thuram has announced his retirement from professional football after a heart defect stopped his intended swansong at Paris Saint Germain.

Thuram retires as France's most capped player with 142 appearances for Les Bleus. He first wore the blue shirt in a friendly against the Czech Republic in 1994, heralding the greatest era of French football. Indeed, making his first international cap that day was a certain Zinedine Zidane. They would both go on to win the World Cup and European Championship in the space of 2 years.

Lilian Thuram will always be remembered for the part he played against Croatia in the semi-finals of the 1998 World Cup. After going one goal down, France replied with a brace from the most unlikely of sources - Thuram himself. The 36-year-old never scored any other international goals.

The ball was set in motion when 19-year-old Thuram made his first appearance for AS Monaco under the watchful eye of his manager Arsene Wenger. Few would have bet the Guadeloupe-born defender would go on to record over 500 league appearances.

After 5 seasons at Monaco, Thuram crossed the Alps to ply his trade with Parma with whom he won the Uefa Cup and Coppa Italia in 1999 playing alongside the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro and Hernan Crespo.

Thuram then made the short trip north to Turin in 2001, joining up forces with Juventus. There, he won his only two league titles, in 2002 and 2003. Juve's relegation to Serie B after allegations of match fixing created an exodus of players. Thuram followed suit by securing a move to FC Barcelona which would turn out to be his last port of call.

He expected to play a final year in the city he lived in after moving from his native Guadeloupe at the age of nine, but just over a month after a test revealed signs of cardiac disease, he decided against continuing with his career.
