Osimhen signs new Napoli contract
Victor Osimhen has officially signed his new contract with Napoli to June 2026, announced president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The patron had already hinted at the deal last night when telling TG1 it could be "the surprise gift under the Christmas tree" for his fans.
According to reports including Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and more, Osimhen will increase his salary to €10 million per season after tax.
There will also be the inclusion of a release clause, believed to be set at €120-130 million, valid only for clubs outside of Italy during the summer.
Napoli paid €75 million plus bonuses to sign Osimhen from Lille in September 2020 and he helped them win the Scudetto, becoming the first ever African Capocannoniere of Serie A and African Player of the Year.
Dimarco signs new long-term contract with Inter
Inter Milano have officially announced the contract renewal of Federico Dimarco, who has extended his stay at the club to June 2027.
The Italian is a product of the Nerazzurri's youth system and bounced around various clubs on loan before becoming a core part of Simone Inzaghi's squad in the 2021-2022 campaign.
He has grown into one of the best left-backs in Serie A and has recently attracted attention from Newcastle United and Chelsea.
Dimarco has continued featuring regularly this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists across 21 appearances this term, seeing 1325 minutes of action.
As confirmed today, Dimarco has now signed a new contract with Inter, tying him to the club until June 2027, an extension of one year compared to his prior deal.

Pogba shocked by 4-year suspension for doping
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba says he is "sad, shocked and heartbroken" after being banned from football for 4 years for a doping offence.
The France international, 30-year-old, was provisionally suspended in September after a drugs test found elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
"Everything I have built in my professional career has been taken away from me", he said in a statement.
The former Manchester United player added he would appeal.
Pogba was randomly tested after Juventus' first match of the season on 20 August.
The positive test was confirmed by Italy's national anti-doping tribunal (Nado) in a second sample in October, and the anti-doping prosecutor's office requested a 4-year suspension.
Juventus told the BBC they received notification from the anti-doping tribunal on Thursday morning.
Pogba said he believed the verdict was "incorrect" and he would "never knowingly or deliberately" dope.
"When I am free of legal restrictions, the full story will become clear", he said, adding he would appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
"As a professional athlete I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances and have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of any of the teams I have played for, or against."
The ruling means 2018 World Cup winner Pogba will be unable to play until 2027, when he will be 34, with the ban backdated to the date of the failed test.
Juventus fire Allegri after cup final antics
Juventus have sacked Massimiliano Allegri 2 days after he led the side to the Italian Cup.
The Turin side beat Atalanta 1-0 in Rome, but Allegri was sent off late on for ranting at match officials and waving away sporting director during the celebrations.
The Italian Football Federation's disciplinary tribunal has launched an investigation into Allegri.
And on Friday, Juventus confirmed he was no longer their coach.
Juve's 1-0 win over Atalanta, thanks to Dusan Vlahovic's early goal, gave Allegri a record fifth Coppa Italia as a manager.
Even before his antics at Stadio Olimpico, the 56-year-old had been expected to lose his job and be replaced by Bologna coach Thiago Motta.
But now he will not be there for the final 2 Serie A games against Bologna and Monza.
Ranieri to step down from Cagliari and leave football
Claudio Ranieri is set to step down from his post and walk away from the world of football after guiding his beloved Cagliari to promotion last year, before helping to secure Serie A safety over the weekend.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia, Ranieri will take a step away from football. Although not explicitly confirmed, it is implied that he looks set to retire from coaching.
It was a mutually agreed termination of contract, as Ranieri had one year left on his deal that was due to expire next summer, in 2025.
The 72-year-old is perhaps best known to the wider, international football community as the mastermind behind Leicester City's miraculous, odds-defying storm to the Premier League title in 2016.
However, his love affair for Cagliari, where it all began and where Ranieri's managerial story may have drawn to a close, is what has kept him in the game over the last 2 years.
He has enjoyed two stints on Sardinia. Both times, between 1988-1991 and 2023 until present, Ranieri led Cagliari to promotion to Serie A.

Napoli appoint Conte
Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has been appointed the new coach of Napoli on a 3-year deal.
The 54-year-old has not managed since he left Spurs by mutual consent in March 2023 after 16 months in charge.
Despite a disappointing time in north London, Conte has had a decorated coaching career after winning the Premier League in his first season at Chelsea (2016-2017) and the FA Cup in his second before being sacked in 2018.
The Italian also guided a dominant Juventus to 3 Serie A titles in a row between 2011-2014.
Napoli, who won Serie A for first time in 33 years last year, have struggled to replicate that achievement and finished 10th in the league.
Their poor form resulted in Slovakia coach Francesco Calzona joining the club in February on a short-term deal to the end of season, after sacking manager Walter Mazzarri after just 3 months in charge.
Bologna hire Italiano to replace Thiago Motta
Bologna have confirmed Vincenzo Italiano's appointment as their new head coach.
Italiano has signed a 2-year contract with Bologna and will replace Thiago Motta at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, leading the team in their first Champions League campaign since 1965, when it was still called the European Cup.
Italiano left Fiorentina after the final game of the season against Atalanta last week and has been replaced by Raffaele Palladino at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Tudor resigns as Lazio head coach
Igor Tudor has officially resigned from his post as head coach of Lazio, less than 3 months after he was called in to replace Maurizio Sarri, who also stepped down from the position in March.
Sky Sport Italia and multiple other outlets in Italy had report that Tudor is expected to explain his decision in a final press conference on Friday.
Sky suggest that "the differences" in vision between Lazio and Tudor are too great for the coach to continue.
The coach was in Rome at the beginning of the week and met with directors from the club on Tuesday, presumably to discuss his future with the club.
Motta is new Juventus coach
Juventus have formally appointed Thiago Motta as their new coach after he took Bologna to Champions League qualification.
This represents a big change of direction from the Bianconeri, who fired Max Allegri last month, just days after he won the Coppa Italia.
Thiago Motta has signed a contract to June 2027 that is believed to be worth €3,5 million per season plus bonuses rising to a maximum of €5 million.
Nesta announced as new coach of Monza
Monza have officially appointed Alessandro Nesta as their new coach with a one-year contract with option to renew, his first Serie A experience.
It will be automatically extended if Monza secure their status in Serie A.
The tactician was chosen after Raffaele Palladino opted to walk away at the end of his 2-year deal for a new experience at Fiorentina.
Nesta had been picked several days ago, but first had to resolve his own existing contract with Serie B side Reggiana.
That paperwork was completed today, paving the way for the former defender to take the Monza job.
Atalanta lose Scamacca to ACL tear, 6 months out
It's bad news for Gianluca Scamacca and Atalanta after medical tests confirmed that the striker had suffered a serious ligament injury and will need surgery.
The 25-year-old Italian striker was carried off the pitch of the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday evening during a pre-season friendly with Parma, having suffered an issue with his left knee after his studs awkwardly caught on the turf as he fell to the ground.
It was an incredibly worrying moment for Atalanta, who are gearing up for their UEFA SuperCup clash with Real Madrid on 14 August. Scamacca played an important role in the team's success last term and represented Italy at the recent European Championship.
He'll be sidelined for the majority of the upcoming 2024-2025 Serie A season, missing at least 5 or 6 months of action.
Bremer agrees to sign new Juventus contract
Gleison Bremer has agreed to sign a new long-term contract with Juventus that'll include a higher release clause than his current deal.
The 27-year-old Brazilian centre-back put pen-to-paper on a new 4-year deal with the Old Lady back in December of last year, an agreement that included a €60 million release clause. Heading into the summer, rumours began to circulate surrounding his future in Turin.
Fabrizio Romano details how Bremer has agreed to a new long-term contract with Juventus, a deal that contains a higher release clause than his current €60 million. Pen will be put to paper in the coming hours, confirming his future with the Old Lady.
During his first 2 years with the Bianconeri, the 27-year-old defender has scored 8 goals and provided one assist across 83 matches, standing out as one of the best centre-backs in Serie A.
Sanchez rejoins Udinese 18 years after first spell
Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez has rejoined Udinese on a free transfer - 18 years after first signing.
The 35-year-old was released by Inter Milano when his contract expired in July.
Sanchez, who played for Udinese between 2006 and 2011, has signed a 2-year contract.
He scored 80 goals in 166 games for Arsenal after joining from FC Barcelona in 2014, but managed only 5 in 45 matches after moving to United in a swap deal in 2018.
Sanchez left for Inter on loan in 2019 and made the move permanent the following year.
After his Inter contract was terminated in 2022, he spent a season at Olympique Marseille before returning to Inter to help them win the Serie A title last season.
Udinese finished 6th from bottom.
Inter hand long-term contract extension to Lautaro Martinez
Inter Milano have officially announced that they have handed a new and improved long-term contract to captain and recent Copa America winner Lautaro Martinez, after many months of negotiations.
El Toro has put pen-to-paper on a new 5-year deal, which will tie him to the Nerazzurri until the summer of 2029, when he will be 31 years of age.
According to updates from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Martinez will now take home an annual salary of around €9 million, plus performance-related bonuses.
The 2023-2024 Scudetto-winning captain had just under 2 years remaining on his current deal, which would have expired in 2026.
Since joining Inter in the summer of 2018, Martinez has gone on to score 129 goals in all competitions for the club, including a record of exactly a goal every other game in Serie A with a tally of 103 from 206 outings.
Martinez is now a 2-time Serie A winner as well, after triumphant campaigns in 2020-2021 and 2023-2024. He finished the season as Capocannoniere last time out, netting 24 goals from 33 league appearances on his way to the title.
