Kolarov signs Roma extension
Aleksandar Kolarov has agreed a contract extension with AS Roma that ties the defender to the club until the end of the 2020-2021 campaign.
The experienced Serbia international had been due to become a free agent in June, but now looks set to spend a 4th season at Stadio Olimpico.
Kolarov, 34-year-old, moved to Roma from Manchester City for €5 million in July 2017, having won 2 Premier League titles, 2 League Cup crowns and the FA Cup during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
He has made 113 appearances for the Giallorossi in all competitions, racking up an impressive 17 goals and further 18 assists throughout that period, while he has also started all 18 matches in Serie A this term.
Free-kick specialist Kolarov scored 8 league goals last season and has added another 5 in 2019-2020.

Zaniolo out for 5 to 6 months
Nicolo Zaniolo's father confirms the AS Roma and Italy talent will be out for 5 to 6 months after knee surgery, so EURO 2020 hopes are slim.
The 20-year-old ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament and damaged the meniscus during last night's 2-1 home defeat to Juventus, going under the knife this afternoon.
He was distraught at the Stadio Olimpico and stretchered off in tears, as he was hoping to play for Italy at EURO 2020 in June.
Zaniolo isn't the only one hoping to recover for the tournament, as Juventus defender Merih Demiral suffered the same injury during that match with Roma.
Italy are due to face Turkey at the Stadio Olimpico for EURO 2020 on 12 June.

Danilo out of Napoli and Fiorentina
Juventus confirmed that they need to cope without Danilo against Napoli and Fiorentina, as tests have revealed a hamstring injury in the right thigh.
Danilo was injured during the 3-1 win against AS Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday and had to go off after 41 minutes.
Today the Brazillian has been through some tests and revealed a "low-grade lesion to the semimembranosus muscle of the right thigh", as stated in the medical report published on Juventus' official website.
The hamstring problem will keep the right-back, who has filled in at the left lately, out of the next 2 games.
The news will mean that Maurizio Sarri must find a solution for the game at Stadio San Paolo this Sunday and on 2 February, when they host Fiorentina.

Handanovic out with hand injury
Inter Milano goalkeeper Samir Handanovic could be out for several games due to a reported hand injury.
Correire dello Sport states that the Slovenian goalkeeper was in the squad to face Udinese, but has had to pull out due to a hand injury that could keep him out of the next few games.
Handanovic has played in the last 97 consecutive games for the Nerazzurri, and last missed a game back in May 2017, which was coincidentally also against Udinese.
It is therefore likely that deputy goalkeeper Daniele Padelli will be given his start Serie A league appearance of the season against the Zebrette.
Padelli has played in 2 Coppa Italia matches so far this season.

Ronaldo makes Juventus history
Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first Juventus player to score in 10 straight Serie A games as Maurizio Sarri's side fell 2-1 to Hellas Verona.
After celebrating his 35th birthday midweek, Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 65th minute as he did well to create space in the box and fire a low shot into the bottom left corner.
That goal meant the former Real Madrid man has now scored in 10 consecutive Serie A games and has taken his league tally for the season up to 20.
In 2005, David Trezeguet struck in 9 straight domestic matches for Juve with Ronaldo now setting a new benchmark for the club.
Despite once again starring in the final third, Ronaldo's effort wouldn't prove enough for Sarri's side as they were stunned by a determined Verona outfit.
Juventus next face AC Milan on Thursday in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Atalanta break 60-year goals record
Atalanta continue to shatter records, as they are the first team since 1959-1960 to score at least 61 goals in their first 23 Serie A games.
Gian Piero Gasperini's men fought back from a Federico Chiesa opener to beat Fiorentina 2-1 on Saturday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with Duvan Zapata and Ruslan Malinovskyi on target.
This not only makes them the most prolific side in the division this season, but also the top scorers in the last 60 years of Italian football.
Nobody had amassed 61 goals by the end of week 23 in Serie A since Juventus in 1959-1960.
They ended that campaign with 92 goals in 34 matches, but the division now has 20 teams, so will run for 38 games.
In Europe's top 5 leagues, only Manchester City have scored more than Atalanta this season, netting 65 goals in 25 games.

The 29-year-old has played 16 games in Serie A this term and have kept 6 clean sheets in the process.
Juventus are currently preparing for their first leg in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia against AC Milan on Thursday.
Buffon has been handed the responsibility in the Italian cup and Szczesny has yet to feature in the tournament this season.
