Real Madrid sign Odriozola

Real Madrid have reached a deal to sign Spain's 22-year-old right-back Alvaro Odriozola from Real Sociedad.

Odriozola was with Spain at the World Cup but did not participate in any of the 4 games played by La Roja.

"Real Madrid and Real Sociedad have agreed to the transfer of the player Alvaro Odriozola, pending the medical examination, and the player remains linked to the club for the next 6 seasons", a statement from Real Madrid read.

Odriozola will battle for a first-team spot with Madrid's other right-backs Dani Carvajal, who also was in Russia with Spain, and Achraf Hakimi, who played for Morocco.

Bernardo joins Brighton

Brighton have completed the signing of RasenBallsport Leipzig defender Bernardo Fernandes da Silva Junior.

The 23-year-old Brazilian full-back joins the Seagulls on a 4-year deal for an undisclosed fee, after a 2-year spell in the Bundesliga.

Sao Paulo-born Bernardo moved from his homeland to Europe in January 2016, joining FC Salzburg.

After winning the Austrian title, he transferred to Leipzig 7 months later, making 49 appearances for the Bundesliga side during the last 2 seasons.

Foster joins Watford

Ben Foster has left relegated West Bromwich Albion and rejoined Watford on an initial 2-year contract.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper is back at Vicarage Road where he enjoyed a successful loan spell from Manchester United between 2005 and 2007.

Foster helped Watford earn promotion to the Premier League and was voted the Hornet's Player of the Season in the subsequent campaign.

He made 81 appearances for Watford and his form resulted in an England debut in February 2007.

Foster, who made 41 appearances for the Baggies last season, had one year left on his contract.

He played a total of 223 games for the club, winning Supporters' Player of the Year 3 times and Players' Player of the Year twice during a 7-season stay at The Hawthorns.

Sevilla sign Vaclik

FC Sevilla have completed the signing of FC Basel goalkeeper and Czech Republic international Tomas Vaclik on a €7 million deal.

The 29-year-old has penned a 3-year deal with Los Rojiblancos and will be incorporated into the club's pre-season training season from next week.

Capped 20 times by the Czech national team, the goalkeeper becomes the third arrival at the Andalusian club this summer following midfielders Roque Mesa and Ibrahim Amadou.

The former Sparta Prague shot-stopper spent 4 years at Swiss champions Basel and was named in the Team of the Tournament at the 2011 European U21 Championship.

Sampdoria sign Jankto

Sampdoria have announced the signing of midfielder Jakub Jankto from Udinese on loan with a compulsory purchase option worth a reported €15 million.

The deal was confirmed in a creative tweet by Samp, which read "next to the Ferraris, a film by Massimo Ferrero", referring to their owner's career as a film producer and the movie Blind Fury.

Its Italian title, Furia Cieca, was also the inspiration for the nickname of Jankto's fellow Czech and Juventus legend Pavel Nedved, who was known as "Furia Ceca".

The 22-year-old had been linked with the likes of Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milano but will instead replace Arsenal-bound Lucas Torreira in Liguria.

Lazio agree Acerbi deal

Lazio have reportedly agreed a €12 million deal for Sassuolo defender Francesco Acerbi.

According to Gianluca di Marzio's website, Sassuolo have accepted an offer from Lazio worth €10 million plus €2 million in bonuses.

Acerbi, for his part, will sign a 5-year contract with the Aquile and undergo a medical early next week.

The 30-year-old bounced back from two cancer scares to play 173 times for the Neroverdi in 5 seasons and represent Italy twice.

Rooney completes DC United move

Wayne Rooney has joined the likes of David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in making the switch to Major League Soccer, with the 32-year-old completing his move to DC United on Thursday.

Reports that Rooney would move to United this summer and that he and the club were in advanced talks cropped up in May, with Everton manager Sam Allardyce confirming that negotiations were taking place just days later .

The former Manchester United and England star now joins a DC United club that sits dead last in the MLS standings having picked up just 10 points from 12 matches so far this season.

While terms of the deal were not released, the striker has signed a 3-and-half-year deal that will reportedly net him around $13 million, which would make him the highest paid player in team history and one of the top earners in MLS.

Rooney will begin training with his new club this week but cannot officially join until the MLS transfer window opens on 10 July.

That date puts him on track to debut for the club when it opens its brand-new stadium, Audi Field, a 20,000 seat venue with a $400 million price tag, on 14 July.

United will be in action twice more before Rooney is eligible to play, with trips to face New England Revolution and LA Galaxy on tap ahead of opening the new venue against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Buffon completes PSG move

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Gianluigi Buffon, with the 40-year-old goalkeeper penning a one-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

Goal revealed on Thursday that a legendary figure of the modern era had agreed terms with the French giants and was poised to take on a new challenge.

That has now been confirmed, with the deal which takes Buffon to France including a 12-month extension option which could take him past his 42nd birthday.

He links up with PSG after leaving Juventus as a free agent, with the last 17 years having been spent in Turin .

Buffon won 9 Serie A titles during his time with Juventus and also tasted World Cup glory with Italy in 2006.

He has, however, never been able to get his hands on the coveted Champions League crown and will be hoping to challenge for that elusive honour once again after joining ambitious PSG.

Carrillo joins Leganes on loan



Southampton forward Guido Carrillo has joined Leganes on a year-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old is reunited with former Saints manager Mauricio Pellegrino, who took charge of Leganes last month.

Pellegrino brought fellow Argentine Carrillo to St. Mary's from AS Monaco in a club-record £19 million deal in January, only to be sacked 2 months later after a run of one win in 17 Premier League games.

Carrillo made 10 appearances for Southampton, providing 2 assists as they avoided relegation, finishing 3 points clear of the bottom 3.

Like Southampton, Leganes also finished 4th-bottom last season, losing 19 of their 38 games in La Liga.

They moved for Pellegrino after their previous coach Asier Garitano left the club to take over at Real Sociedad.

Betis sign Robles

Real Betis have signed goalkeeper Joel Robles on a 4-year contract following his contract expiration at Everton, it has been confirmed.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper spent 5 years at Goodison Park but has decided to move on after his contract expired this summer.

The Spaniard becomes the 4th arrival at Los Verdiblancos this summer following the arrivals of Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez, Takashi Inui from Eibar and Real Sociedad's Sergio Canales, all of whom on free transfers.

There has been a total revamp of the goalkeeping department at Betis this summer with the exits of former first-choice pair Antonio Adan (Atletico Madrid) and Daniel Gimenez (Deportivo la Coruna).

Wilshere joins West Ham



Jack Wilshere has joined West Ham on a 3-year deal.

Wilshere, who has 34 caps for England, ended his 17-year association with Arsenal at the beginning of the month and joins the club he supported as a boy on a free transfer.

Sky Sports News reported on Wednesday how Wilshere had held talks with West Ham about a potential move, with Fenerbahce also interested in his signature.

But the lure of playing in front of the West Ham faithful under new Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini proved too good for Wilshere to resist.

Arsenal sign Torreira

Arsenal have completed the signing of Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria.

Torreira, 22-year-old, completed his medical at Arsenal's London Colney training base on Tuesday before the club announced the deal for an undisclosed fee.

The Uruguay midfielder, who featured in all 5 of their games at the World Cup, will be given a break before joining up with the rest of his new team-mates in early August.

Valencia sign Wass

Valencia have completed the signing of midfielder Daniel Wass from Celta Vigo on a 4-year contract, it has been confirmed.

The Danish midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a reported €6 million deal at Mestalla ahead of the club's return to the Champions League next season.

Back in May, Valencia-based radio programme 90 Minuts reported that a deal has been agreed between all parties with a deal speeded up due to the player's contract at Celta expiring in June 2019.

Ronaldo joins Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Juventus on a 4-year contract, bringing to an end his 9-year stay at Real Madrid.

The fee for the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner is in the region of £105 million, according to Sky sources.

A statement from Real Madrid on their official website said the Portuguese forward had asked to leave the club.

"In response to the will and request expressed by the player Cristiano Ronaldo, he has agreed to transfer to Juventus."

"Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football."

"Beyond the conquered titles, the trophies achieved and the triumphs achieved in the playing fields during these 9 years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement."

"For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of his great symbols and a unique reference for the next generations. Real Madrid will always be your home."

Sky Sports reported earlier on Tuesday that Juventus president Andrea Agnelli was at Ronaldo's hotel in Greece to discuss the move.

The player's agent Jorge Mendes was understood to be meeting Real Madrid at the same time.

Ronaldo departs Real as the club's all-time top scorer, with an extraordinary 450 goals in 438 games.

He won 4 Champions Leagues, 2 La Liga titles and 2 Copa del Reys during his time at Bernabeu.

In a letter posted on Real's website, Ronaldo confirmed he had asked to move on as "the time has come for a new cycle".

He also said the time he spent in the Spanish capital, following his then world-record £80 million move from Manchester United, was "possibly the happiest of my life".

Yarmolenko signs for West Ham



West Ham have signed Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund.

The Premier League club agreed a £17,5 million deal with Dortmund earlier this week, Sky Sports News understands.

Yarmolenko then underwent a medical at West Ham's training camp in Switzerland earlier this week before signing a 4-year contract.

The 28-year-old is Manuel Pellegrini's fifth signing since taking over as West Ham manager.

The club have recruited Jack Wilshere (free), Ryan Fredericks (free), Lukasz Fabianski (£7 million, Swansea City) and Issa Diop (£22 million, Toulouse).

Villarreal complete Layun deal

Villarreal have completed the €4 million signing of FC Porto defender and Mexico international Miguel Layun, it has been confirmed.

The 30-year-old joins the Yellow Submarine on a 4-year deal and will be a replacement for the outgoing Antonio Rukavina, who has joined Astana.

Layun spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Sevilla and made 16 La Liga appearances for Los Rojiblancos, who did not take up their €4 million purchase option.

An attack-minded full-back, the former Watford man becomes the latest arrival at the Yellow Submarine following deals for Gerard Moreno, Karl Toko Ekambi, Ramiro Funes Mori and Santi Cazorla.

Hakimi joins Dortmund on loan

Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi has joined Borussia Dortmund on a 2-year loan deal, it has been confirmed.

The Moroccan international has left the European champions in a similar deal which took James Rodriguez to Bayern Munchen last summer, but no option to buy is included.

Last week, Madrid completed €40 million signing of Real Sociedad right-back Alvaro Odriozola, who will provide direct competition with Daniel Carvajal next season.

Hakimi, 19-year-old, is primarily a right-sided defender who can also play in the heart of the defence and he has already amassed 13 caps for Morocco, including all 3 group matches at this summer's World Cup.

Nani returns to Sporting

Luis Nani has returned to Sporting Lisbon for a third time after signing a 2-year deal with his former club for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old Portugal winger arrives from Valencia after spending last season on loan in Italy with Lazio where he only managed 18 appearances in Serie A.

Nani spent two previous spells with Sporting between 2005-2007 and 2014-2015, playing 113 times and scoring 23 goals for the club.

The former Manchester United winger, who played 147 times for the Premier League club, began his career at Sporting before leaving in 2007 and returning on loan from United in 2014.

Vestergaard set for Southampton medical

Defender Jannik Vestergaard will have a medical at Southampton on Tuesday ahead of his move from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Denmark international will then finalise personal terms and sign off the relevant paperwork, with Southampton hopeful of having the £18 million transfer completed by the start of next week.

Vestergaard made 32 league appearances for Monchengladbach last season as they finished ninth in the Bundesliga, and has spent his entire career in the German top flight following previous spells with Werder Bremen and TSG Hoffenheim.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem for the 25-year-old, who could become the Saints' 4th signing of the summer following the arrivals of Mohamed Elyounoussi, Stuart Armstrong and Angus Gunn.

Mahrez joins City

Manchester City have completed the signing of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City for a club-record £60 million.

Mahrez was the subject of 4 failed bids from Manchester City in the January transfer window and, after a move to the Etihad did not materialise he missed training for over a week, with the Algeria international forced to deny going AWOL.

However, the Premier League champions returned with a successful bid for the Leicester winger, who scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for the Foxes last season.

Mahrez becomes the most expensive player in Manchester City's history, replacing French defender Aymeric Laporte who joined the club for £57 million in January.

Mahrez had joined Leicester in January 2014, helping the club win the Sky Bet Championship that year before playing an influential role in their infamous Premier League title triumph in the 2015-2016 season.

Chelsea sign Jorginho



Chelsea have completed the signing of Italy international Jorginho from Napoli.

The 26-year-old has agreed a 5-year contract and will join his former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge, having previously been linked with a move to Premier League champions Manchester City.

Sky sources understand Chelsea will pay an initial £50 million for Jorginho, potentially rising to £57 million.

Jorginho - who will wear the number 5 shirt at Chelsea - has 8 Italy caps and made over 100 appearances for Napoli, who signed him at the start of 2014.

Huddersfield confirm Durm signing

Huddersfield have confirmed the signing of Germany international defender Erik Durm from Borussia Dortmund for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old has signed a one-year deal at John Smith's Stadium, with Huddersfield having the option of extending the contract for an extra 12 months.

Durm was a striker when he joined Dortmund 6 years ago, but Wagner helped to convert him into a full-back.

He can play on either side of the defence, and was part of the Germany squad that won the World Cup in 2014.

Liverpool complete Shaqiri signing

Liverpool have completed the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City on a long-term contract.

It is understood Stoke accepted a bid of just over £13,5 million after Liverpool met the release clause valuation in the Swiss midfielder's contract.

Shaqiri becomes Liverpool's third summer signing after Fabinho and Naby Keita joined the club.

The 26-year-old, who was part of the Switzerland squad which reached the round of 16 at the World Cup in Russia, joined Stoke in 2015 from Inter Milano before going on to make 84 league appearances for the club.

He started his career at FC Basel before moving to Bayern Munchen where he won 2 Bundesliga titles, 2 DFB Pokal cups and the Champions League, with the Bavarians beating Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund in the Final in 2013.

West Ham sign Anderson

West Ham have completed the club-record signing of Felipe Anderson from Lazio on a 4-year deal.

Sky Sports News understands West Ham will pay an initial club-record £35 million to Lazio with the deal potentially rising to £42 million with performance-based add-ons.

The Brazilian passed his medical with the club on Saturday before agreeing personal terms.

He becomes new manager Manuel Pellegrini's 7th signing of the summer following the arrivals of Andrey Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski, Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop.

Villarreal have agreed a deal to sign midfield starlet Santiago Caseres from Velez Sarsfield.

Velez confirmed on their official website that Caseres was on his way to Spain for a medical with Villarreal, before putting pen-to-paper on his contract.

Reports in Argentina claim the Yellow Submarine will pay around €8,5 million for the 21-year-old, who made 35 appearances for the Buenos Aires club and had also been linked with Atletico Madrid.

Bringing in a midfielder had become a priority for Javi Calleja's side, given Rodri Hernandez has joined Atleti, Manu Trigueros is a doubt for the start of next season, Alfred N'Diaye is surplus to requirements and Bruno Soriano remains out indefinitely.

Monchengladbach sign Plea

Borussia Monchengladbach have won the race to sign sought-after French forward Alassane Plea from Nice.

The 25-year-old has inked a 5-year contract with Dieter Hecking's side to end a lengthy battle for his signature, which is estimated to have cost the Bundesliga side a record €25 million.

His impressive return of 21 goals in all competitions last season is believed to have sparked keen interest from Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund, who are coached by Plea's former Nice coach Lucien Favre.

Bissouma signs for Brighton



Yves Bissouma has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion from Lille on a 5-year deal.

Sky Sports News understands the fee is less than their club-record signing of Jurgen Locadia of £16 million last summer. The deal is believed to be closer to £15 million.

The Malian midfielder has made 47 appearances for Lille, scoring 4 goals in total as he becomes the club's 6th summer signing.

Bissouma has made 15 appearances for the Mali national team and played in the 2016 African Cup of Nations success.

He came on as a substitute in the 76th minute in the semi-finals against the Ivory Coast and scored the decisive goal to seal Mali's place in the Final.

Khazri joins Saint-Etienne

Tunisia's World Cup captain Wahbi Khazri has ended an underwhelming spell at Sunderland by joining Saint-Etienne.

Khazri enjoyed a fruitful stint on loan with Rennes last season, scoring 9 times in 27 appearances as they qualified for Europe.

That form, alongside 2 goals and 2 assists in Russia, encouraged Saint-Etienne to sign the winger on a 4-year deal after paying an undisclosed fee, reported to be £6 million rising to £9 million.

The 27-year-old joined Sunderland in January 2016 from Ligue 1 side Girondins Bordeaux, having spent two seasons there following a move from Bastia.

In total, he played just 42 times for the Black Cats, scoring just 3 goals for the club during a disappointing stay.

Liverpool complete deal for Becker

Liverpool have completed the signing of Alisson Becker for a fee of £67 million, subject to the AS Roma goalkeeper passing a medical, according to Sky in Italy.

The 25-year-old travelled to England on a private jet on Wednesday evening and will undergo a medical with the Reds in the next few days.

Sky in Italy understands the Brazil international has already agreed personal terms and will sign a 5-year deal at Anfield.

Alisson is set to become the most expensive goalkeeper in history, with Liverpool surpassing the £35 million fee Manchester City paid for Ederson in 2017.

Alisson will become Jurgen Klopp's 4th signing of the summer, joining fellow new arrivals Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri at Anfield.

Fabio da Silva joins Nantes

Middlesbrough have agreed to allow defender Fabio da Silva to leave the club and join FC Nantes.

Boro say a deal has been agreed for the 28-year-old, and that he will depart with "the best wishes" of all at the club.

Fabio joined the Championship side from Cardiff City 2 years, and went on to make 54 appearances, scoring twice.

He joined Manchester United as a teenager, playing 56 times for the club, and has also won 2 caps for Brazil.

Fabio will come across a familiar face when the new Ligue 1 season begins - his twin brother Rafael currently plays for Olympique Lyon.

Boufal joins Celta Vigo on loan

Celta Vigo have signed Southampton playmaker Sofiane Boufal on a season-long loan with an option to buy, the club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old endured a tough time at the Saints, netting just 4 goals in 59 outings since joining in a club record €18 million deal from Lille in 2016.

Boufal and Southampton manager Mark Hughes were said to have had a bust-up last season following the player's alleged refusal to warm-up during a home defeat in April.

The Moroccan international becomes Celta's fifth signing of the summer window following deals for Nestor Araujo, Okay Yokuslu, Robert Mazan and David Junca.

He was not included in the Saints squad for their recent pre-season trip to China.

Caleta-Car joins Marseille

Olympique Marseille have completed the signing of FC Salzburg defender Duje Caleta-Car, who had been strongly linked with a move to FC Sevilla.

The 21-year-old has already played 130 games for Salzburg and was called up to Croatia's World Cup squad.

El Mundo Deportivo reported earlier this month that the central defender has been prioritised by Los Rojiblancos to replace Clement Lenglet, who has now signed for FC Barcelona.

Marca say the Andalusian club thought they had a €15 million sown up but the French giants gazumped the bid, with the deal reportedly worth €20 million.

Olsen to AS Roma done

Reports in Sweden suggest Robin Olsen will fly to Italy tomorrow, as he prepares to complete a €12 million move from FC Copenhagen to AS Roma.

The Giallorossi sold Alisson Becker to Liverpool for a world record €72,5 million last week, and the 28-year-old immediately emerged as the favourite to replace him.

The goalkeeper's agent was spotted in the Eternal City for talks, and now Aftonbladet is reporting that a deal is done.

It's believed an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, with Olsen and agent Hasan Cetinkaya to fly to Italy tomorrow.

The deal is believed to be worth around €12 million, which would be a record for a Swedish goalkeeper.

Sampdoria sign Cabral

Sampdoria have officially confirmed the signing of former Napoli goalkeeper Rafael Cabral on a free transfer.

The Brazilian joined the Partenopei in 2013, and was the starting goalkeeper for the 2014-2015 season, playing in 23 of 38 Serie A games.

The return of Pepe Reina pushed him down the pecking order though, and he only made a further 2 appearances in his time at the club.

Now the Blucerchiati have announced on their official website that Cabral has signed, though there is no indication how long the contract is.

Wolverhampton sign Moutinho

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a £5 million fee with AS Monaco for midfielder Joao Moutinho, Sky Sports News understands.

The 31-year-old Portugal international will reportedly sign a 2-year deal with the newly-promoted side.

Moutinho's agent is Jorge Mendes, who has close links with Wolves.

The vastly experienced playmaker, the third most-capped player in his country's history with 113 appearances, is set to link up with the Championship winners on Monday.

He joins a number of Portuguese players already at Molineux, including Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves, Ruben Vingare and new goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

Moutinho has made more than 600 club appearances, including more than 100 in either the Champions League or Europa League.

A EURO 2016 winner with Portugal and a part of their World Cup squad this summer, Moutinho scored one goal and provided 7 assists for Monaco last season.

Fulham complete Fabri signing

Fulham have completed the signing of goalkeeper Fabri from Besiktas on a 3-year deal.

Sky Sport News understands the fee is close to £5 million for the 30-year-old Spaniard.

Fabri, whose full name is Fabricio Ramirez, began his career with Deportivo La Coruna, and stayed in Spain for spells with Real Valladolid, Recreativo Huelva, and Real Betis, before returning to Deportivo in 2013.

He is well known to Fulham's goalkeeping coach, Jose Sambade Carreira, having worked with him at Deportivo.

Having moved to Turkey in 2016, Fabri played Champions League and Europa League football for Besiktas, and was voted the best goalkeeper in the Super Lig for the last 2 years.

Fabri has become Fulham's third new signing since their promotion from the Sky Bet Championship, following the arrivals of Maxime Le Marchand and Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

Valencia sign Piccini

Valencia have officially signed former Italy U21 right-back Cristiano Piccini from Sporting Lisbon for a reported €8 million.

The deal was confirmed in a video on Valencia's official Twitter account.

His contract with Los Che has also yet to be disclosed, while Tuttomercatoweb claims Sporting received €10 million for the 25-year-old.

Piccini, who began his career at Fiorentina, made 40 appearances for Sporting last season, but the Portuguese side have been hit by departures after their training ground came under attack by masked thugs.

It marks a return to Spain for the Italian, having spent 3 years with Betis, while he was also linked with Roma and Inter.

Bournemouth sign Diego Rico

Bournemouth have agreed a £10,7 million fee with Leganes for left-back Diego Rico, subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed.

Rico is due in the UK for a medical on Tuesday and is expected to sign a 4-year deal at the Vitality Stadium.

Borussia Dortmund made a late bid to sign the player, offering better financial terms, but Rico's preference was to come to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old played 33 times for Leganes last season and was sent off in his final game of the campaign, a 3-2 victory at home to Real Betis.

Sampdoria agree Defrel deal

Sampdoria have agreed a deal to sign AS Roma striker Gregoire Defrel on loan with an option to buy.

According to ANSA and Sky Sport Italia, Samp will sign Defrel on a season-long loan for €1,5 million and able to buy him outright for €18-19 million.

Everton sign Richarlison

Everton have completed the signing of Richarlison from Watford on a 5-year contract for £40 million, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News reported on Monday that Richarlison had passed his medical and was all set to link up with new Everton manager Marco Silva - who signed him for Watford last summer.

The 21-year-old former Fluminense player scored 5 goals in his first 12 Premier League matches, but then went without a goal from November onwards.

He is now set to become Everton's first signing of the summer, as Silva starts to reshape his squad.

So far only striker Wayne Rooney and reserve goalkeeper Joel Robles have departed Everton permanently but, with Silva keen to bring in new players, more of the 33-strong squad are likely to be moved on.

Lokomotiv loan Krychowiak

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has joined Lokomotiv Moscow on loan.

Krychowiak, 28-year-old, moved to PSG in 2016 from FC Sevilla amid interest from Arsenal and, ironically, it was current Gunners manager Unai Emery who brought him to the French capital.

However, he has failed to settle in Paris, making only 11 Ligue 1 appearances before being loaned to West Bromwich Albion last season, enduring relegation from the Premier League with the Midlands club.

Krychowiak had a similarly difficult World Cup, as his Poland team were eliminated in the group stages.

Having completed his Lokomotiv medical earlier on Tuesday, he has agreed to join Yuri Semin's side in time for the Russian SuperCup clash with CSKA Moscow on Friday.

Lokomotiv are defending Russian champions after winning their first Premier League title since 2004 last season, pipping CSKA to the trophy by only 2 points.
