Coutinho to join Bayern on loan

FC Barcelona have confirmed that an agreement is in place to loan Philippe Coutinho to Bayern Munchen.

The Brazilian midfielder has failed to impress since joining the La Liga champions from Liverpool in January 2018, and Barca have been keen to offload their big-money signing as they revamp the squad.

He was offered to a number of Premier League clubs before the English transfer window slammed shut but nothing materialised, and a move to the Bundesliga now appears to be the next stage of Coutinho's journey.

An agreement in principle is in place between the two clubs with the deal almost complete but not formally closed, with the player being left out of Barcelona's La Liga season opener against Athletic Bilbao as his move to the Bundesliga champions inches closer.

When he arrived from Liverpool, the long-term vision for Coutinho was to replace Andres Iniesta as a creative force in midfield.

However, he was not often trusted to play in that position, and now Frenkie de Jong has been added from Ajax, joining Arthur Melo and Ivan Rakitic as central options.

Last season, in his first full campaign with Barca, Coutinho managed 11 goals and 5 assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.

Cuisance set to join Bayern

Bayern Munchen have confirmed the imminent signing of midfielder Mickael Cuisance from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 20-year-old has developed into one of the Bundesliga's top young midfielders since he joined Monchengladbach from Nancy in his native France in 2017.

Cuisance has made 35 Bundesliga appearances over 2 seasons, tallying 3 assists.

Cuisance has represented France at every youth level and started all 4 games for his country this summer at the U20 World Cup, where they fell 3-2 to the United States in the round of 16.

The midfielder will become the fifth French player on Bayern's roster, joining Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso, Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard.

Cuisance will help the club strengthen in the middle of the pitch, joining Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara as players able to play as a holding midfielder.

Sanchez agrees Inter terms

Alexis Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Inter Milano, claim Sky Sport Italia, and his agent is flying out for talks with Manchester United.

The Chile international is said to be enthusiastic about the move to San Siro, which will see him finally work with Antonio Conte after several close calls over the years, and take part in the Champions League.

Gianluca Di Marzio insists Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Inter, taking a significant pay cut to help the move go through.

Now his agent Fernando Felicevich will fly out to Britain for negotiations with Manchester United.

A loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season, most likely with a clause making it obligatory after a certain number of appearances, would be suitable for all parties.

It'll also allow him to reunite with good friend Romelu Lukaku.

This is a return to Serie A for the 30-year-old Chilean, who first shot to fame at Udinese from 2007-2011, before moving to FC Barcelona, Arsenal and eventually Manchester United.

Gonalons set for Rennes loan

Maxime Gonalons is reportedly on the verge of a loan move to Stade Rennais after Girondins Bordeaux pulled out of negotiations with AS Roma.

The midfielder was a flop after his €5 million transfer from Olympique Lyon in 2017 and spent last season on loan at FC Sevilla, where he again failed to make much impact amid injury problems.

A return to France was always considered likely and his Roma contract runs to June 2021.

There had been interest from Girondins Bordeaux, but they appear to have pulled out.

Instead, Sky Sport Italia are confident only details need to be finalised for the Rennes switch.

Roma would be called upon to cover some of his salary, perhaps even 50%.

Slimani joins Monaco on loan



Leicester City striker Islam Slimani has joined AS Monaco on a season-long loan.

The French club will have an option to buy the Algeria international at the end of the 2019-2020 season as part of the deal.

Slimani scored 13 times in 46 appearances for Leicester after joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2016.

He has not played for Leicester since January 2018, and since then has been on loan at Newcastle and Fenerbahce, scoring 25 goals for the latter last season.

Slimani helped Algeria win the African Cup of Nations this summer.

The 31-year-old becomes the third forward to sign for Monaco in just over a week, following the signings of Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla and Henry Onyekuru from Everton.

Sturridge signs for Trabzonspor

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has joined Trabzonspor on a 3-year contract.

Sky Sports News reported last week that Sturridge had been in talks with Trabzonspor and Besiktas as he searched for a new team following the expiration of his deal at Anfield in June.

The 29-year-old attracted plenty of interest from across Europe, with Atalanta and Eintracht Frankfurt both reportedly keen on the free agent earlier in the window.

Sturridge scored 67 goals in 160 appearances for Liverpool after joining from Chelsea in January 2013, but has not found the net since September 2018.

He made 18 Premier League appearances for Liverpool during the 2018-2019 season.

Sturridge is eligible to play football again after completing a ban for breaching the FA's gambling regulations.

He served 2 weeks of a 6-week ban. The remaining 4 have been suspended until 31 August 2020, meaning he is free to play football again in the event he commits no further breaches of FA's guidelines.

Besiktas sign N'Koudou



Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has joined Besiktas from Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger has signed a 4-year deal with the Black Eagles after failing to make the grade in the Premier League.

N'Koudou moved from Olympique Marseille to Tottenham in 2016 but saw his first-team opportunities severely restricted.

Now he will look to relaunch his career in Turkey after leaving north London on Thursday.

The 24-year-old has had loan spells with Burnley and AS Monaco and has now been allowed to leave Spurs for a reported €5 million - less than half the fee that Tottenham originally paid Marseille for his services.

Sanches joins Lille

Renato Sanches has completed a reported €25 million move from German champions Bayern Munchen to Lille.

News of the transfer broke on Friday evening, with Bayern confirming the transfer via their official Twitter account.

The Portuguese midfielder, who has won 2 Bundesliga titles in his 3 years at the Allianz ArenA, is the latest arrival in what has been a busy summer at Lille, following the likes of Yusuf Yazici, Victor Osimhen and Timothy Weah through the door.

First team football has been hard to come by for the 22-year-old since he arrived at Bayern from Benfica in July 2016.

Die Roten saw off interest from Manchester United to land the Amadora-born star, but a little over a year after his arrival he had been shipped out on loan to Swansea City.

Despite becoming the first Portuguese player to win the Golden Boy award for best European player under the age of 21, he struggled for form in Germany and failed to register a single goal or assist in his first season.

His season-long loan at Swansea and foray into the Premier League did little to inspire confidence in a player who had reportedly struggled to settle into the German way of life and master the language.

The Swans were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2017-2018 season, while Sanches suffered an injury-plagued campaign that limited him to just 15 appearances in all competitions.

Since returning to Bayern in July last year, manager Niko Kovac gave the player further opportunities to live up to his sizeable price tag, but a regular place in the starting XI continued to evade him.

Adrien Silva set for Monaco loan move

Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva is set to complete a loan move to AS Monaco in the next few days, Sky Sports News understands.

Having signed 2 Belgian midfielders in Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet during the English transfer window, Brendan Rodgers has been open to offers for Silva, and it was always likely he would move on before the European deadline.

The Portugal international, who has 26 caps for his country, only made 14 Premier League appearances in his 2 seasons at the King Power Stadium after joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2017.

Silva was on loan at Monaco for the second half of last season, and even though there's been a managerial change at the club, the Ligue 1 side were keen to extend the arrangement.

Leicester and Monaco were discussing a swap deal between Silva and Tielemans, but they could not reach agreement.

Sky Sports News understand the two clubs have now agreed a loan fee, and Silva is expected to travel to Monaco to complete a move before the European transfer window closes on 2 September.

Monaco announce signing of Maripan

AS Monaco have announced the signing of Chile international defender Guillermo Maripan on a 5-year deal from Deportivo Alaves.

The fee is said to be €18 million.

Monaco have endured a difficult start to the season in Ligue 1 after being in relegation difficulty throughout 2018-2019.

They have gone down to consecutive 3-0 defeats to start this campaign, and have seen a player dismissed in each game.

The club welcomed the signing of the 23-cap international, who moved to Spain from his native Chile in 2016.

Maripan turned out 47 times for Alaves over the last 2 seasons, which have seen them finish 14th and 11th.

He played all 90 minutes at centre-half in their opening La Liga game this year, helping his team keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Levante.

Medel ready for Bologna move

Gary Medel is on the verge of a transfer to Bologna after agreeing a €2,5 million fee with Besiktas, claim Gazzetta dello Sport.

There had already been reports of negotiations for the Chile international, who is returning to Serie A following his time at Inter.

His agent is now working out the details of a 2-year contract worth €1,7 million per year plus bonuses.

Medel just turned 32 this month and has been playing as a centre-back at Besiktas since joining from Inter in 2017.

"Pitbull" wore the Inter jersey from 2014 to 2017, while his other clubs are Universidad Catolica, Boca Juniors, FC Sevilla and Cardiff City.

Roma send Coric to Almeria

AS Roma investment Ante Coric is on the verge of a loan move to Almeria, with option to buy for €7 million.

The Croatia international recently turned 22 and was purchased from Dinamo Zagreb for €6 million last year, along with 10% of any future sale going to his old club.

However, Coric made a grand total of 3 substitute appearances in the 2018-2019 season with 48 minutes of football under his belt.

He didn't feature in pre-season either under new coach Paulo Fonseca and is heading for the exit.

The trequartista is on a salary of €1 million per year and the two clubs must decide how to divide that up during the loan period.

Dost completes move to Frankfurt

Dutch striker Bas Dost has completed a reported €7 million transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt from Sporting Lisbon on Monday.

The experienced forward has signed a 3-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit, bringing to an end his prolific spell in the Primeira Liga.

Dost scored 81 goals in 103 appearances for Sporting across all competitions, establishing him as one of the most deadly players in European football.

His goals helped Marcel Keizer's side secure a domestic cup double last term, while also finishing third in the league standings.

Frankfurt have been on the lookout for a new frontman since offloading talismanic duo Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller, to Real Madrid and West Ham respectively.

Dost will now be expected to lead the line for Adi Hutter's team this season and his past experience in Germany suggests he could prove a shrewd acquisition for the club.

The Holland international played for VfL Wolfsburg between 2012 and 2016, netting 24 goals in 44 appearances and picking up 2 trophies in the process.

Schick closing in on Leipzig loan

AS Roma's Patrik Schick is closing in on a season-long loan move to RasenBallsport Leipzig, with Goal able to confirm that the Bundesliga side have an option to purchase the forward at the end of the loan deal for a fee in the region of €28 million.

The Giallorossi are yet to sign a new striker in the summer window, instead focusing on defensive and midfield reinforcements in the form of Leonardo Spinazzola (Juventus), Pau Lopez (Real Betis), Bryan Cristante (Atalanta) and Amadou Diawara (Napoli).

Roma have, however, been linked with an interest in Atletico Madrid's Nikola Kalinic, now 31-year-old, with the La Liga side seemingly deeming the Croatian striker surplus to requirements at the Wanda Metropolitano following the arrivals of Alvaro Morata and Joao Felix.

Leipzig mainstays Timo Werner and Youssuf Poulsen are likely to continue as first-choice strikers at the German club, with the former having recently signed a contract extension at the Red Bull ArenA.

The acquisition of Ademola Lookman from Everton does give Julian Nagelsmann an added option in attack, but with Lookman being more of a winger, Schick is being looked at more as competition for Werner and Poulsen and a solid rotation player.

Parma sign Pezzella

Parma have officially signed Udinese left-back Giuseppe Pezzella on loan with obligation to buy for €4,5 million.

Pezzella's move comes as no surprise, with links between him and Parma first surfacing over a month ago.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Genoa.

However, he played just 5 Serie A games and the Grifone subsequently passed up their €7 million option to buy.

The Italy U21 international has committed himself to the Gialloblu until 2024.

Mario arrives for Lokomotiv

Joao Mario is set to become a Lokomotiv Moscow player today as it emerges they will cover the entirety of his Inter wages.

Joao Mario was snapped touching down in Moscow on Tuesday morning as he took a selfie with a supporter.

The midfielder is moving to Lokomotiv on a season-long loan with an €18 million option to buy.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Russian club will also pay the remainder of his salary this season.

Dalbert joins Fiorentina on loan

Fiorentina have officially signed Inter Milano left-back Dalbert on a season-long loan.

Dalbert's arrival was announced by Fiorentina on their social channels.

The Brazilian joins the Viola on a dry loan with no option to buy and replaces Cristiano Biraghi, who is moving the other way.

Inter spent €21 million to sign the 25-year-old from Nice in the summer of 2017.

However, he went on to play just 26 times for the Nerazzurri in 2 seasons.

Atalanta sign Arana on loan

Atalanta have officially signed left-back Guilherme Arana from FC Sevilla on a season-long loan.

The deal includes an option to buy for Atalanta, reported to be in the region of €8-9 million.

The Champions League qualifiers moved for Arana after they could not agree terms with Milan's Diego Laxalt.

Sevilla paid €12 million to take the Brazilian from Corinthians in January 2018, but competition for places limited him to just 10 League starts in southern Spain.

Still only 22-year-old, he has 8 caps and 2 goals for his country at U20 level.

Brugge agree Wanyama deal

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sell Victor Wanyama to Club Brugge for £12 million, Sky Sports News understands.

The 28-year-old midfielder is yet to play a single minute for Spurs this season, and now looks set to move to Europe, where the transfer window is open until the beginning of September.

Wanyama joined Spurs from Southampton in 2016 and has gone on to make 93 appearances for the club.

Mauricio Pochettino complained after Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last weekend some of his squad were unsettled with markets across Europe still open, while the Premier League's shut on 8 August.

Question marks still remain over the futures of Danny Rose, who was told he was not part of Pochettino's plans earlier this summer, and Christian Eriksen, who has openly talked about leaving Spurs and has less than a year on his contract.

Dolberg completes Nice move

Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg has completed a €20 million move to Nice, the clubs have confirmed.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Eredivisie outfit in 2016, made over a century of appearances for the club and was a member of the squad that claimed a domestic double last season.

A Denmark international, he has also won 13 caps for his country and scored 3 goals.

He was named Dutch Football Talent of the Year in 2016-2017, picking up the award given to the best U21 player in the Dutch leagues.

Dolberg only started Ajax's Johan Cruyff Shield victory last month but now will trade Northern Europe for the French Riviera on a full-time deal.

Dolberg passed his medical on Wednesday and arrives having scored more goals for Ajax than any other player since his debut with the club.

He was a member of Denmark's squad at the World Cup in Russia last year, and featured against France.

Roma sign Smalling on season-long loan

AS Roma have signed England defender Chris Smalling on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

The 29-year-old flew to the Italian capital early on Friday to undergo a medical and finalise the move.

The Italian side will pay a €3 million loan fee for Smalling, who has been handed the number 6 shirt by the Giallorossi.

He will seemingly replace Kostas Manolas in the heart of the Roma defence after the Greek international joined Napoli earlier this summer.

Smalling has spent nearly a decade at United, making 323 appearances for the club since joining from Fulham in the summer of 2010.

However, the arrival of Harry Maguire from Leicester for £80 million earlier this month increased competition for places in the United defence, with Smalling yet to feature at all so far this season.

With the likes of Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo also competing for a centre-back slot, Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the move is the best way for Smalling to guarantee regular first-team football.

Parma agree deal for Darmian

Parma have agreed a £1,4 million deal with Manchester United for defender Matteo Darmian, according to Sky in Italy.

The 29-year-old is set to sign a 3-year contract with the Serie A side and is set to fly to Italy over the weekend to undergo a medical.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted on Friday that Serie A clubs had manifested interest for the Italy international over the summer and is likely to leave.

Darmian is poised to leave United 4 years after joining from FC Torino in a £13 million deal, during which he amassed 92 appearances for the club across all competitions and won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

The full-back has played only 13 times for the Old Trafford club since December 2017 with his current deal due to expire next summer.

Llorente to join Napoli

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente has agreed a 2-year deal with Napoli, according to Sky in Italy.

The 34-year-old, a free agent since being released by Spurs after his contract expired in June, will undergo a medical at the weekend.

He was linked with moves to a host of top European clubs including Manchester United, Fiorentina and a shock return to Tottenham.

Llorente has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Tottenham, including crucial strikes against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City during Spurs' run to the Champions League Final last season.

He returns to Italy, having played for Juventus between 2013 and 2015.

Laxalt has Torino medical

AC Milan left-back Diego Laxalt has arrived for his Torino medical after finally agreeing terms over a transfer.

Just when it seemed Torino had lost Laxalt, they managed to close a season-long loan deal with an €11,5 million option to buy last night.

The Uruguayan was spotted at a Turin clinic on Friday morning carrying out medical examinations.

Once he has passed them, the 26-year-old can sign off his agreement with the Granata, who will cover the entirety of his €1,7 million salary this season.

Nice sign Ounas on loan

Nice have officially signed Napoli winger Adam Ounas on a season-long loan with a €25 million option to buy.

Nice are understood to have paid €2,5 million for the loan and committed to shelling out €25 million if they wish to keep him next summer.

The French side have new-found riches after being bought by English billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Ounas moved to the Partenopei from Girondins Bordeaux in the summer of 2017 for €10 million but went on to make just 39 appearances in 2 seasons.

Nonetheless, the 22-year-old saw his stock rise earlier in the summer as he helped Algeria win the African Cup of Nations with a return of 3 goals and an assist.

Mirallas joins Antwerp

Kevin Mirallas has brought his 7-year stay at Everton to an end by joining Royal Antwerp on a free transfer.

Mirallas, who has signed a one-year deal with the Belgian side, joined Everton from Olympiacos in 2012 and went on to score 38 goals in 186 appearances.

He was a mainstay in the side under David Moyes and Roberto Martinez, with his most prolific Premier League season coming in 2013-2014 when he scored 8 goals and added another 9 assists as the Toffees finished fifth.

The Belgium international was also a regular during Ronald Koeman's first season in charge in 2016-2017, prompting the club to offer him a new contract at the end of that campaign keeping him at the Toffees until 2020.

Despite that new deal, the forward fell out of favour under the Dutchman the following year.

His final competitive appearance for Everton came in the Europa League against Apollon Limassol in December 2017, with the forward returning to former club Olympiacos on loan for the second half of the season.

Serie A side Fiorentina then signed Mirallas on a season-long loan for the 2018-2019 campaign and the Belgium international featured 30 times for La Viola.

He returned to the club over the summer and briefly featured during pre-season, but it became apparent Marco Silva was unwilling to utilise him in competitive games.

Monreal agrees 2-year Sociedad deal

Nacho Monreal has left Arsenal after more than 6 seasons and signed a 2-year deal with Real Sociedad.

The 33-year-old started each of the Premier League side's opening 3 fixtures but Unai Emery admitted his departure was possible following last weekend's 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

As previously revealed by Goal, talks had been ongoing for several weeks to get a deal over the line, with the Gunners looking for around £3 million for the 33-year-old.

An experienced and versatile defender, Monreal moved to north London from Malaga in January 2013 and made 250 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals.

Besiktas sign Elneny on loan

Besiktas have signed Egypt international midfielder Mohamed Elneny on a season-long loan from Arsenal.

The 27-year-old has made 89 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions since joining from FC Basel in the summer of 2016.

However, he fell out of favour following the appointment of Unai Emery as manager last summer.

The midfielder made 17 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-2019 season, with just 8 of those coming in the Premier League.

He has not featured at all this campaign, with Emery publicly stating earlier this month that he was free to leave before Monday's European transfer deadline.

Bakayoko sent back to Monaco on loan

Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko has completed his medical and signed for his former club AS Monaco on loan with a €42 million option to buy.

The 25-year-old attempted to impress new manager Frank Lampard in pre-season but he failed to make the required impact to return to the Blues first team.

If Monaco pay the €42 million fee at the end of the season, it would make Bakayoko their third most expensive signing of all-time, after just Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez.

The Provincial club see the return of the powerful midfielder who broke through at the club and played 84 times. He played a major role in Monaco's Champions League run of 2016-2017 that led to the Blues paying £40 million to sign him that summer.

However, he has quickly been deemed surplus to requirements by yet another manager after struggling under Antonio Conte and being loaned out to AC Milan under Maurizio Sarri.

Bakayoko has played just 43 times for Chelsea and Kenedy could be the next first-team star to exit the club ahead of the European transfer window closure on 2 September.

Kalinic flying in for Roma

Nikola Kalinic is flying in tonight for his AS Roma transfer, on loan with €10 million option to buy from Atletico Madrid.

The Croatia international was not in the Atletico Madrid squad for their match against Eibar, as it was known this move was imminent.

Kalinic returns to Serie A following spells at Fiorentina and AC Milan, but struggled to make an impact in Madrid.

It's reported he will join Roma on loan with €10 million option to buy and a contract worth €2,5 million per season.

Paris Saint-Germain have signed goalkeeper Sergio Rico on a one-year loan from FC Sevilla after their number 1 Alphonse Areola sat out a Ligue 1 game on Friday.

Rico spent last season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League but was unable to stave off relegation for the Cottagers. He returned to Spain for this season but has not made an appearance in La Liga so far.

Areola had started all of PSG's first 3 Ligue 1 games so far this season, but was not in the team for their 2-0 win over Metz on 30 August.

The France international 'keeper reportedly seems set for a move to Real Madrid and PSG have moved quickly to head off a crisis between the posts.

Marcin Bulka had been the substitute 'keeper for the French champions at the start of the campaign, but the 19-year-old was called into action for Friday's game.

The Poland youth international was making his senior debut, having only arrived in the capital from Chelsea in the close season.

The 26-year-old Rico played 114 games for Sevilla after making his debut having progressed through the youth ranks at his hometown club.

He was allowed to leave for Fulham after falling out with then head coach Vincenzo Montella at the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Montella has moved on but Rico was still unable to displace Thomas Vaclik for the La Liga campaign under new coach Julen Lopetegui.
