Cabrera agrees to join Espanyol
Getafe defender Leandro Cabrera is on the verge of joining Espanyol after they paid his €9 million release clause with Jose Bordalas' side.
New manager Abelardo Fernandez has already broken the club's transfer record, with a €20 million move for Benfica striker Raul de Tomas, and he is expected to bring more new faces into the RCDE Stadium before the end of the January transfer window.
According to reports in Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club have now secured the signing of Uruguayan centre-back, after agreeing to meet his release clause following Getafe's 3-0 win at Leganes this weekend.
Cabrera has been a key player for Getafe after joining them on a permanent deal at the start of the 2018-2019 season, with 31 out of 38 La Liga appearances, as they secured a place in the 2019-2020 Europa League.
Podolski set to join Antalyaspor
Former Arsenal strike Lukas Podolski has agreed a deal in principle to join Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor.
The 34-year-old, who left Japanese J-League club Vissel Kobe at the end of his contract, will sign an 18-month deal with the side from Antalya.
The deal is expected to be completed on Sunday with a formal unveiling held in Turkey on Monday.
Podolski spent 2 years playing in the Super Lig with Galatasaray between 2015-2017 before leaving for Japan.
Before that, he spent 2-and-a-half years at Arsenal, where he was a member of the Gunners 2014 FA Cup winning team. The last 6 months of his Arsenal contract were spent on loan at Inter Milano.
His time in North London coincided with the most significant moment of his career, when he played a small part in Germany's successful 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil.
He was best known at Arsenal for his finishing ability, with his powerful shots having been recorded at speeds of 160 km/h.

Moses close to Inter loan
Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses will land in Italy tomorrow ahead of his Inter medical, claims SportItalia.
Moses is currently on loan at Fenerbache, but is expected to cut that loan deal short in order to join Antonio Conte at Inter.
The Nigerian international played for Conte at Chelsea from 2016 to 2018, and played a crucial role in Conte's 3-4-3 system as Chelsea won the Premier League in 2017.
Alfredo Pedulla of SportItalia states that Moses will arrive in Italy tomorrow to undergo his medical ahead of completing the move to San Siro.
Inter have agreed a loan deal with an option to buy worth €10 million for the 30-year-old.
Moses only made 7 appearances for Fenerbache in the first half of the season.
Napoli sign Rrahmani
Napoli have officially signed Hellas Verona defender Amir Rrahmani on a permanent deal, but he will stay with the Gialloblu on loan for the remainder of the season.
The deal has been expected, with the Kosovo international taking his medical with the Partenopei last Friday.
It's believed Napoli will pay €14 million to sign the player, with another €1,5 million coming in various bonuses.
Rrahmani only joined Verona last summer from Dinamo Zagreb for €2 million, and will stay in northern Italy for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old centre-back has played in every game for Ivan Juric's side this season.
Real Madrid confirm deal for Flamengo teenager Reinier
Real Madrid have officially confirmed the purchase of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Reinier Carvalho from Flamengo for €35 million.
The Brazilian wonderkid dubbed the "new Kaka" has signed a long-term contract until 2026 and will initially join Real Madrid's Castilla side.
He follows in the footsteps of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes in moving to the Spanish capital from Brazil at a young age, with the former also joining from Flamengo, while the latter was plucked from Neymar's old club, Santos.

Newcastle take Bentaleb on loan
Newcastle have completed the signing of ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb on loan from Schalke.
Bentaleb, 25-year-old, left Spurs in 2016 and quickly established himself as a regular in Germany.
However, the Algeria international has not featured for Schalke since April, having been dropped for alleged unprofessional behaviour.
He has now signed for Newcastle on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the deal permanent, becoming Steve Bruce's first signing of the January transfer window.
Bentaleb made 97 appearances in total for Schalke across 3-and-a-half seasons with the club, scoring 19 goals.
Odriozola to join Bayern on loan
Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola is set to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munchen on loan until the end of the season.
The Spanish international was omitted from the squad to face Salamanca in Los Blancos midweek Copa del Rey, amid growing speculation that he would be leaving the club in the coming days.
The former Real Sociedad full-back had been linked with moves to FC Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao, however according to reports on Spanish radio station COPE the German side have now secured a deal for the 24-year old.
Bayern have been linked with a number of options as they look to sign an established right-back, with alternate media speculation linking them with Real Madrid's Achraf Hakimi, currently on loan at domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund.
However that appears to have died down, until the summer at least, with Odriozola in line to make the move to Bavaria in time for Bayern's weekend clash with Schalke.
The deal will not include a purchase option, as Zinedine Zidane remains undecided on Odriozola's future at Santiago Bernabeu, with his contract running until 2024.
Odriozola operated as first choice back-up to Daniel Carvajal last season, making 22 appearances in all competitions, following his €30 million move from Anoeta Stadium.
However he has made just 4 La Liga appearances so far this season, with Carvajal remaining injury free, and Eder Militao able to step in for him when needed.
LA Galaxy sign Hernandez
Los Angeles Galaxy have announced the signing of Mexico international striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez from FC Sevilla.
Hernandez joins for a fee of $10 million plus up to $3,3 million in bonuses.
The signing of Mexico's all-time leading goalscorer is expected to be a major boost for the Galaxy both on and off the pitch.
The 31-year-old only joined Sevilla from West Ham in September, but will return to North America after spending just a half-season with the La Liga club.
Hernandez will join up with a Galaxy side that is looking to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who departed at the end of the 2019 season after scoring 52 goals in 2 campaigns with the club.
The forward has long been linked with a move to MLS and has finally made the leap after spending 10 years in Europe.
Hernandez left his hometown club Chivas de Guadalajara in 2010 to join up with Manchester United and had plenty of success in 5 seasons with the Red Devils, scoring 59 goals and winning 2 Premier League titles.
After spending a season on loan with Real Madrid in 2014-2015, Hernandez moved to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, where he scored 39 goals in 76 appearances over 2 seasons.
From there, Hernandez returned to England with West Ham and scored 17 times in just over 2 seasons with the Hammers before joining Sevilla ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
After making his international debut in 2009, Hernandez has gone on to become Mexico's all-time leading scorer with 52 goals in 109 appearances, including 3 World Cups.

Politano agrees Napoli move
Inter Milano's Matteo Politano has finally relented and agreed to join Napoli, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The winger's move to AS Roma collapsed last week due to issues surrounding the Leonardo Spinazzola part of the swap deal, and nothing to do with Politano himself.
There had been hope on the player's behalf that a deal could still be worked out between the Giallorossi and Inter.
However it seems unlikely, as there isn't a good relationship at present between the sides in the aftermath of the move breaking down.
Napoli had stepped forward and agreed a deal with Inter days ago, but Politano wasn't enthusiastic on moving to the Stadio San Paolo.
It seems the 26-year-old has finally given the go-ahead for the reported €25 million deal to happen.
Udinese buy Zeegelaar
Udinese have officially brought Marvin Zeegelaar back to Serie A on a new contract to June 2022, after an earlier loan from Watford.
The 29-year-old left-back had already played at the Dacia Arena on loan from January to June 2019 and returned to base.
After failing to make a single competitive appearance for Watford this season, it was decided to sell him to Udinese outright.
He has signed a new contract to June 2022, as the previous bond to Watford was due to expire in June 2021.
He made 12 competitive appearances for the Friulani during his 6-month loan spell.
Watford and Udinese often do business, as they are both owned by the Pozzo family.
Vallejo joins Granada on loan
Real Madrid have officially confirmed that Jesus Vallejo has joined Granada on loan for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but after making just 7 appearances for the Premier League side, his loan spell has been cut short.
As confirmed on the club's official site, Vallejo will join Granada on loan until June 2020, after an agreement was reached along with Wolverhampton to allow him to leave Molineux earlier than initially anticipated.
Granada are currently in 10th place in the La Liga table and just 4 points adrift of 6th spot as they seal a reinforcement for their defence which has conceded 26 goals in 20 league games so far this season.

Perez agrees AS Roma loan
FC Barcelona striker Carles Perez has reportedly agreed a loan move to AS Roma.
The 21-year old has slipped down behind Ansu Fati in the pecking order at Camp Nou, and despite a long-term injury to Luis Suarez, his first team opportunities remain limited in Catalonia.
The La Masia graduate broke into the first team under Ernesto Valverde last season, with a debut at the back end of the campaign.
However, despite agreeing a contract extension until 2022 in the summer, he has not started a La Liga game since 28 September.
According to reports in Marca this weekend, Paulo Fonseca's side have now agreed a 6 month loan deal to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico before the transfer window closes at the end of January.
The reports states that Roma have moved ahead of their rivals in the race to sign Perez, due to their willingness to include a compulsory purchase option as part of the deal.
The Italian side will now pay a €13 million clause at the end of the season, with Perez signing a 3-year contract at the club.
Banega agrees to summer Saudi Arabia move
FC Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega will leave the club in June, and sign for Saudi Arabia side Al-Shabab.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to either Qatar or Saudi Arabia, after confirming he would not sign a contract extension when his deal expires at the end of the season.
The transfer has now been confirmed via Al-Shabab's official Twitter account, with the 31-year old agreeing a 3-year deal with Luis Garcia Plaza's side ahead of the 2020-2021 campaign.
Banega has made over 200 appearances in all competitions across to spells with the Andalucian club, firstly between 2014 and 2016, before returning to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in 2017, after a season with Inter Milano.
Despite the ongoing rumours of his anticipated summer departure from the club, he has remained a key player for manager Julen Lopetegui so far this season, starting 19 of their 21 La Liga games.

Leeds sign Augustin on loan
Leeds United have made a statement of their Premier League ambitions with the signing of Jean-Kevin Augustin from Bundesliga leaders RasenBallsport Leipzig.
Augustin, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, has joined on an initial loan deal with Leeds having the option to purchase at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old former France youth international will provide competition in attack for Patrick Bamford, with Eddie Nketiah's loan deal cut short by Arsenal earlier this month.
Bamford has 10 goals in the Championship this season, some way short of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ollie Watkins at the top of the scoring charts with 18.
Leeds are second behind West Bromwich Albion with 28 games played, but their form has stuttered in 2020.
Fans are wary of another potential collapse under Marcelo Bielsa following their implosion at the end of last season.
They have played 4 and lost 3 in 2020, going out of the FA Cup to Arsenal and taking just a single point in the league, against West Bromwich on New Year's Day.
The chasing pack have cut the deficit to 3 points, though Leeds do still have a game in hand over third place Fulham.
The arrival of Augustin, then, is hoped to provide some fresh impetus and breathe new life into Leeds' season.
He failed to score in 10 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco in the first half of the campaign, and returned to parent club Leipzig as a result.
However, 20 goals in all competitions across 2 seasons at Leipzig will have fans hopeful he can make a big impact in the second tier.
West Ham in talks to sign Soucek
West Ham are in talks to sign Slavia Prague captain and Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Soucek.
The 24-year-old was voted as the Czech Player of the Year and is valued at €20 million by Slavia.
He has 12 goals in 26 appearances this season, 2 of which came in the Champions League against Inter Milano and Borussia Dortmund.
Soucek won the Czech league and cup double with Slavia Prague last season which ensured him a new 5-year contract at the club last summer.
He featured in the Czech Republic team that beat England 2-1 in Prague in a European qualifier clash in October.
Hertha confirm the signing of Tousart
Hertha Berlin have confirmed the signing of Lucas Tousart from Olympique Lyon.
The French midfielder has signed a long-term deal with the German capital club for a reported fee of €24 million, but will be spending the rest of the season on loan at Lyon.
Tousart, 22-year-old, has made 29 appearances for Lyon this season, racking up 2 goals and 3 assists.

Radu set for Parma loan
In a surprise twist, Inter-owned goalkeeper Ionuţ Radu is set to join Parma after his Genoa loan, despite an offer from Nice.
The 22-year-old had been on loan at Genoa since 2018, but was infuriated by the decision to bring in Mattia Perin on loan from Juventus in January, effectively pushing him to the bench.
His agent had been looking for a new destination and told Radio Marte this week that Nice want him on loan for 18 months.
However, Sky Sport Italia report this evening that a deal has been struck with Parma for the rest of the season.
That is because Luigi Sepe needs tests on a recurring thigh injury tomorrow and there are fears he could be out for some time.
Dortmund to sign Can
Juventus midfielder Emre Can is on the verge of a transfer to Borussia Dortmund for €25 million, claim multiple sources.
The German international also had proposals from Everton and Bayern Munchen, but wanted regular playing time after struggling to make an impact in Turin.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the initial €18 million offer was increased to €22 million, but still not enough.
The two clubs finally agreed terms for €25 million, including bonuses, although it is possible the payment will be spread out.
It's reported the former Liverpool player was so eager to get the move done, he was prepared to lower his salary.

Lo Celso joins Tottenham on permanent deal
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the permanent signing of midfielder Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis in a deal worth €32 million.
The Argentina international joined Spurs in the summer as part of a season-long loan deal from the Andalusian club with a 12-month fee of €16 million, with purchase option included.
That option of €32 million has now been triggered as Spurs would have been forced to pay €40 million for the player had they secured qualification to the Champions League for next season.
Lo Celso has started each of the last 4 domestic matches for Tottenham - 2 in the Premier League and 2 in the FA Cup - having made just one league start before Christmas, and has now signed a 5-and-a-half year contract.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player had struggled with injuries and fitness problems this season but now appears to have moved away from these and is enjoying a sustained run in the first-team.
Lo Celso has joined Tottenham at a total of €48 million, and he has become the record sale of Betis.
Eriksen unveiled by Inter
Inter Milano have officially signed Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur and the Dane has revealed he "couldn't wait" to become a Nerazzurro.
Yesterday, the Denmark international went through the medical test and arrives from Tottenham after having spent 6-and-a-half years in London.
He has been a key member for the Lilywhites since he moved from Ajax in August 2013, and last season he helped Spurs reach the Champions League Final - ending in a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Eriksen's contract with Spurs was set to expire this summer and he could have moved on a free transfer come June.
Inter reportedly paid €20 million to secure the disposal of the playmaker already this winter and Eriksen has signed a contract until June 2024, allegedly worth €8 million per season.
His new club will also have to pay €1 million to his youth clubs and the gate from a friendly between the two sides in the future.
Eriksen turns 28-year-old next month and has been capped 95 times by Denmark, contributing 31 goals for his national team.

Petagna to Napoli in June
The deal is done for Andrea Petagna to join Napoli for €17 million plus €3 million in bonuses, but he'll remain on loan at SPAL until June.
According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs reached total agreement this afternoon.
The striker is expected to have his medical tests tomorrow, most likely in Rome, before signing the contracts.
It won't distract him from this weekend, seeing as Petagna is already suspended for the game with Lazio on Sunday.
This is a similar deal to the one Napoli struck with Hellas Verona to purchase defender Amir Rrahmani, but leave him on loan for the rest of the season.
Petagna had also been heavily linked with AS Roma, but they wanted to sign him for January, whereas the 24-year-old insisted he could not leave SPAL in their current position.
The Ferrara-based club is bottom of the Serie A table and he has scored 8 of the team's total 15 goals this season.
Masiello joins Genoa
Genoa have officially purchased defender Andrea Masiello from Atalanta on a permanent basis.
The centre-back turns 34-year-old next week and had been with Atalanta since the summer of 2011.
This represents a return to Genoa, as Masiello was already at Stadio Luigi Ferraris from 2007 to 2008.
He had also been approached by Sampdoria, but opted for the Grifone, who are currently joint bottom of the table with Brescia and SPAL.
Masiello had dropped down the pecking order in Bergamo this season, making only 12 competitive appearances.
Kouame agrees Fiorentina transfer
Fiorentina have agreed a €10 million plus bonuses deal for Genoa striker Christian Kouame, sending winger Riccardo Sottil on loan to Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Kouame could even have his medical tomorrow.
However, he would not be able to play for the Viola this season, as the 22-year-old is out for several more months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in November while on international duty.
That is why the figure is so low, but there are many bonuses based on performance that will jack up the price if he returns to playing and scoring regularly after the injury.
Genoa should also receive a percentage of any future sale.
Kouame had practically agreed a move to West Ham United for the January window when he suffered the serious knee injury.

Lyon seal Guimaraes signing
Olympique Lyon have confirmed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Athletico Paranaense, ending Arsenal's hopes of landing the Brazil U23 international midfielder.
The Ligue 1 side have paid €20 million to land the 22-year-old, who has signed a 4-and-a-half year contract through to the summer of 2024.
The deal also includes a clause that will see Lyon pay Athletico Paranaense 20% of the profit on any future transfer.
Guimaraes is currently with the Brazil U23 squad for the South American Olympic qualifiers in Colombia but will link up with his new team-mates after the tournament's conclusion on 10 or 11 February.
That means Guimaraes could make his Lyon debut at home to Racing Club Strasbourg on 15 February.

Soares joins Arsenal on loan
Arsenal have completed the signing of Southampton right-back Cedric Soares on loan until the end of the season.
Soares, whose Southampton contract expires at the end of the current campaign, is Arsenal's second January signing after the Gunners completed a deal to sign defender Pablo Mari on loan from Flamengo earlier this week.
Cedric has made 138 appearances for Southampton, scoring 3 goals, since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2015.
The 28-year-old thanked Southampton supporters, staff and the board on social media after his transfer was announced.
Leicester set to sign Bennett on loan
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ryan Bennett is due to undergo a medical with Leicester City ahead of a loan move for the rest of the season.
The two Premier League clubs have agreed a fee for an initial loan deal, with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
Bennett has been at Molineux Stadium for 2-and-a-half years, and has made 19 appearances for Wolverhampton in all competitions this season.
Bennett will provide back-up to Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu while captain Wes Morgan is out injured.
Carrasco rejoins Atletico Madrid on loan
Atletico Madrid have re-signed Yannick Carrasco on loan from Chinese club Dalian Yifang.
Sky Sports News reported in January that the 26-year-old was in talks over a move to the Premier League with Crystal Palace.
Carrasco arrived at Atletico's training base in Majadahonda on Friday and took part in a session with the team ahead of Saturday's derby against Real Madrid.
He had been seeking a return to Europe, and was training in his native Belgium so there were no implications surrounding the spreading coronavirus in China.
The Belgium international began his senior career with AS Monaco, before moving to Atletico for a fee in the region of £20 million in 2015.
In February 2018 Carrasco joined Dalian Yifang, and scored 24 goals in 52 appearances in China.

The Viola had been linked to the former Inter Milano player for several weeks.
It was reported several days ago that an agreement between the clubs had been close.
Now the deal has been made official on the club's website.
Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira states that Fiorentina will pay the Neroverdi €15 million plus €1 million in bonuses for the 26-year-old.
Duncan has signed a 4-and-a-half year contract with the Tuscan side.
Sampdoria signs Yoshida on loan
Sampdoria have officially signed Japan international defender Maya Yoshida from Southampton, on loan with option to extend.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the cost of the operation was a mere €200,000.
It is a 6-month loan with option to extend for the 2020-2021 season.
The 31-year-old centre-back has 100 senior caps for Japan, along with 7 games for the Olympic team.
He came to Europe with VVV Venlo in January 2010, then moved to Southampton for €2,8 million in the summer of 2012.
Yoshida had made 11 competitive appearances for the Saints this season.
This move allows him to reunite with his former Southampton team-mate Manolo Gabbiadini.
Dzemaili to Shenzhen
Bologna have sold Blerim Dzemaili to Chinese Super League side FC Shenzhen.
The well-travelled player had been at the Rossoblu since 2016, but spent a season on loan at MLS side Montreal Impact in 2017.
He returned to Italy and had been a consistent starter for Bologna.
However, the club announced today that Dzemaili has been to Shenzhen, who are coached by former Azzurri coach Roberto Donadoni.
Dzemaili made 92 appearances for Bologna, scoring 13 goals.

Ziyech to join Chelsea in the summer
Ajax have announced that they have agreed a deal to sell Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea, with the right-winger set to link up with the Premier League club on 1 July.
Frank Lampard's side will pay €40 million for the Dutch-born Morocco international, with that fee potentially rising to €44 million based on various sporting criteria.
The 26-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has yet to agree personal terms with the Blues, but will have plenty of time to do so as he sees out the remainder of the season in Amsterdam.
Ziyech, currently a reigning Eredivisie champion and on course for another title this season, was named Dutch Footballer of the Year last term, won the KNVB Cup and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The attacker has scored 49 goals across 160 official matches for Ajax and boasts 8 goals and an incredible 21 assists across all competitions in the 2019-2020 season so far.
