După ce în urmă cu două săptămâni , noul tehnician al Barcelonei, Josep Guardioala declara că nu mai poate conta pe serviciile lui Samulel Eto'o, Deco şi Ronaldinho, oficialii catalani anunţă transferul portughezului Deco la Chelsea.

Mijlocaşul a semnat un contract pe trei sezoane cu Chelsea, echipa londoneză plătind pentru transferul acestuia 10 milioane de euro.

Deco a venit la Barcelona în 2004 şi a câştigat alături de echipa catalană două titluri de campion al Spaniei, în 2005 şi 2006.

Lazio poised to sign Zarate kid



Former Birmingham starlet Mauro Zarate has confirmed he will sign for Lazio on Saturday.

The Argentinean youngster showed glimpses of brilliance during his short loan spell in England, drawing comparisons with compatriots Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.

Portsmouth have completed the signing of Chelsea striker Ben Sahar on a six-month loan.

Fulham linked with Yakin

Young Boys Berne have confirmed that striker Hakan Yakin will be allowed to seek new opportunities at another club this summer, while a Premier League side, believed to be Fulham, are rumoured to be interested in his services.

The Switzerland international scored 3 times in three games during Euro 2008, and the attacker is about to join the eighth club of his career.

Romaric finally a Sevilla player

Ndri Romaric has sealed a deal to join FC Sevilla and the African is hopeful he will prove to be the perfect replacement for Seydou Keita at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

Romaric has signed a five-year contract, although it was a drawn-out process as Le Mans were battling to tie him to a new deal.

The 25-year-old had set his stall out to head to Spain and his goal is to emulate Keita who had a fine season in Andalusia before moving on to Barcelona.

Olympique Lyonnais have finally confirmed that youngster Hatem Ben Arfa has been sold to Olympique de Marseille.

"My determination was such that I was not seeing myself playing for any other club but l'OM. I already feel like a Marseille player," he told Marseille's official website.

Tomasson leaves the Submarine



Denmark star Jon Dahl Tomasson has left Villarreal to return to old club Feyenoord on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old previously played for De Eredivisie giants from 1998 to 2002, scoring 71 times before he joined AC Milan, then VfB Stuttgart and finally Villarreal in 2007.

The striker only scored 3 goals in 25 appearances last term in La Liga, and has agreed to return to Holland after being released.

Tomasson successfully passed a medical at De Kuip Stadium and is yet to put pen to paper.

Drogba Open To Madrid Move

For a long time Milan had been one of the favourites to snap up the power-packed goal-machine, but his agent has now willingly stoked rumours regading a switch to Real Madrid.

”Why not?” responded Pierre Frelot when a Marca reporter pressed on the possibility of Drogba joining the Spanish champions.

"Drogba is calm because he is at a great club like Chelsea, but Real Madrid are a great club also."

The 30-year-old insisted at the beginning of June that he would even turn down an offer from his ex boss now at Inter Jose Mourinho in order to stay true to the Blues. However, based on all the noise he made last season about leaving Chelsea fans have every right to remain cynical until they actually see him line up for their team next season.

Jol says Dutch hero stays

Rafael van der Vaart wants to stay at Hamburg according to new boss Martin Jol, but the former Tottenham manager would understand if the HSV star opted to join a Spanish team.

Holland international Van der Vaart begged his employers to allow him to join Valencia last season, citing the fact his grandparents are living in Spain as the major reason why he wanted to move.

He was then linked to Juventus and Chelsea, but his new chief Jol assumes his top player could stay put next season.

Nevertheless, Jol, sacked by Spurs last season, would understand if the attacking midfielder asked to move to La Liga subject to a formal offer.

"Van der Vaart is a special case," Jol told the club’s official website. “Zeljko Petrovic (Jol's assistant) has spoken to him on the phone and he said once again that he would like to stay at Hamburg. He loves Hamburg.

"It could be that he would think about moving if a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona makes an offer - that is what we have learned from past experience."

Official: Juventus Sign Knezevic

The Bianconeri have been keen on the stopper who was in excellent form during the Euro 2008 Championship and he caught the eye in Serie A following two good seasons with the Amaranto.

Juve have already brought in Olof Mellberg from Aston Villa and Knezevic will be a welcome addition to Claudio Ranieri’s side.

A statement on the club’s official website reads:

“Following the arrival of Olof Mellberg, Juventus are pleased to announce the signing of Dario Knezevic from Livorno.

“The 26-year-old will be unveiled at the Vinovo training complex on Monday afternoon during the press conference.”

The details of Knezevic’s arrival are not yet known but they are expected to be announced later.

Juventus are now looking for a midfielder as they continue to strengthen ahead of next season.

Liverpool sign Dossena



Liverpool announced Friday they'd signed Italian defender Andrea Dossena from Udinese.

The left-back joined shortly after the Reds signed Swiss right-back Philipp Degen.

Like Degen, Dossena has signed a four-year deal.

The 26-year-old replaced Norwegian John Arne Riise who left for AS Roma earlier in the close season and joined for an undisclosed fee reported to be around £7 million.

He has been capped once by Italy, in a friendly last year.

Degen joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

Official: Kewell To Galatasaray

The Turkish giants announced yesterday that they had succeeded in luring the Aussie star to Istanbul, and although there was some confusion after his agent quickly stressed that the deal had not yet been completed, it is now confirmed that Kewell will be starring at the Ali Sami Yen stadium next season.

"I'm excited, I'm thrilled to bits. I'm looking forward to the new challenge," he told the club's official website.

"I can't wait to meet up with the team and to get going. It's something different.

"There's a lot of talk about the Turkish league. It's coming up in the world and the national team has done well in the last couple of major tournaments.

"There's a lot of young talent here, and it's different, that's what I'm looking forward to - a new challenge."

Kewell was sent off against the Turkish side in a UEFA cup semi-final, when he was playing for Leeds in 2000, but his last match against Galatasaray was made far more infamous as a result of two Leeds fans being stabbed to death by Turkish hooligans.

"What happened in the past is in the past. It's a sad part of football history. It's not to dwell on the past, we've got to look forward," Kewell insisted.

"We all love the game so much and I'm here because I respect the game and I want to play the game."

Galatasaray are now reportedly also trying to sign West Ham's Lucas Neill as well, and one can be sure that Kewell will be on the phone with his national team colleague to try to sell him on the idea of linking up with him in Istanbul.

Real Madrid a oferit 85 de milioane de euro pentru Cristiano Ronaldo, însă Manchester United vrea 100 de milioane de euro, scrie azi publicaţia Marca.

Corradi wants City exit



Bernardo Corradi has revealed he is hoping to quit Manchester City in order to return to Italy this summer.

The City misfit is currently back at Eastlands after being farmed out on loan to Parma last season.

Corradi has scored just 3 league goals in 25 appearances during his time in England, and his first team opportunities are unlikely to have been helped by the arrival of record signing Jo.

The Italian does not see a future for himself under new boss Mark Hughes, and he pleaded for reported pursuers Reggina to come calling.
