Giovinco to join FC Toronto

Sebastian Giovinco will move from Italian champions Juventus to FC Toronto at the end of the season after the MLS club confirmed the deal on Monday.

The 27-year-old forward came through the youth system at the Juventus Stadium but has fallen out of favour in Turin over recent months.

Giovinco has made 130 appearances for Juve - scoring 20 goals and providing 23 assists - but will leave the club for Toronto at the end of the current campaign.

Leverkusen take Jedvaj on permanent deal

Bayer Leverkusen have announced the signature of Crotia international Tin Jedvaj from AS Roma for an undisclosed fee.

The defender joined the Bundesliga outfit on a 2-year loan during the close-season, which included an option to buy before the end of the 2015/2016 campaign.

And Leverkusen have seen fit to snap up Jedvaj at the first opportunity, tying the 19-year-old down to a 5-and-a-half-year contract.

Arsenal have completed a move for 17-year-old Legia Warsaw midfielder Krystian Bielik.



Arsenal have signed teenage midfielder Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw for an undisclosed fee.

The deal was anounced on Wednesday after Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed last week that a fee had been agreed between the two clubs, and Bielik was due in London for a medical.

Monaco seal permanent deal for Benfica's Silva



Monaco have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Bernardo Silva from Portuguese champions Benfica for a fee of €15.75 million.

Silva initially joined the Ligue 1 club on a season-long loan in August and has been a regular under former Sporting Lisbon coach Leonardo Jardim.

In 21 appearances this season, Silva has scored three goals and will now look to help Monaco push for a place in next season's UEFA Champions League after securing his future.

Benfica confirmed the fee in a statement on Wednesday, with Monaco then revealing Silva has signed a deal to keep him at Stade Louis II until June 2019.

Real Sociedad open Tottenham talks for Capoue



The Daily Mail says Moyes is hoping Tottenham will allow him to take Capoue on loan next week.

The Real Sociedad manager is waiting until the last week of the window to see what players he can bring out of the Premier League and hopes Tottenham are willing to strike a temporary deal for the French midfielder who has been on the periphery of Mauricio Pochettino's first-team selections.

The Frenchman is available from Spurs, though they would prefer a straight cash sale.

Swansea complete Naughton signing

Swansea City have completed the signing of Kyle Naughton from Tottenham Hotspur on a 3-and-a-half-year contract.

Swansea manager Garry Monk said earlier on Thursday that a deal to bring Naughton to the Liberty Stadium was imminent, and the 26-year-old has now put pen-to-paper after completing his medical.

Naughton made 74 appearances for Tottenham after joining from Sheffield United in July 2009.

He becomes Swansea's third new recruit of the January transfer window after Nelson Oliveira and Matt Grimes also moved to south Wales.

Naughton is available for selection in the club's FA Cup 4th round tie at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Udinese duo Luis Muriel and Andrea Coda have completed their moves to Serie A rivals Sampdoria.

The duo have moved to Stadio Luigi Ferraris on initial loan deals, with Sampdoria set to make the transfers permanent at the end of of the season.

Head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic could hand the pair a debut in Sunday's encounter with Palermo.

Bremen swoop for Casteels

Koen Casteels will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Werder Bremen, just a day after he joined fellow Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.

The Belgian only moved to Wolfsburg on a permanent transfer from fellow Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim on Wednesday.

Casteels has subsequently been allowed to join Bremen on a temporary basis until the end of the season and is likely to provide competition for regular no. 1 Raphael Wolf.

Casteels made 39 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim, but has not played since April due to a broken leg, an injury that kept him out of contention for last year's World Cup.

Real Madrid have announced the signing of midfielder Lucas Silva from Cruzeiro on a deal until June 2020.

Carlo Ancelotti revealed his interest in the 21-year-old at the start of last month and the European champions have now completed the transfer, with the club confirming the news on Friday.

Silva becomes the second player to join Real in as many days after Martin Odegaard sealed his switch from Sromsgodset on Thursday.




Chelsea have opted to send fringe players Nathaniel Chalobah and Marko Marin on loan for the remainder of the season.

Marin has ventured to Belgium to link up with Pro League champions Anderlecht, having been at Fiorentina before the turn of the year, featuring in 4 matches exclusively in the Europa League.

Marin, 25-year-old, moved to Stamford Bridge from Werder Bremen in 2012, but has featured in just 6 Premier League games.




AS Roma have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Mohamed Salah on loan until the end of next season.

The Serie A club have been locked in talks with Chelsea over the past 24 hours and have settled on a €500.000 loan fee for the 22-year-old, while €16 million will need to be paid in order to make the move permanent.

Roma have the option send Salah back to Stamford Bridge if he fails to convince but the Italian side also have the opportunity to sign the Egypt international on a permanent transfer at any point during his 18-month loan spell.

The Italian side have agreed a contract with the midfielder worth €2 million per year, plus bonuses, until 2019.

Salah, who joined Chelsea from FC Basel for around €13 million last January, has played only 30 minutes of football in the Premier League this season.

Inter snap up Brozovic

Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has finalised his move from Dinamo Zagreb to Inter Milano on an initial loan deal.

Brozovic represented his country at last year's World Cup and had been linked with a number of Europe's leading clubs, including Arsenal.

Dinamo previously revealed that they had turned down an offer from Inter for the midfielder, but he will now continue his career at Meazza after the clubs agreed on an initial 2-year loan deal with an option to buy.

Brozovic, capped 7 times by Croatia, follows Lukas Podolski and Xherdan Shaqiri in signing for Roberto Mancini's Inter during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old spent 2-and-a-half seasons with Dinamo, winning 2 league titles and featuring in the Champions League and Europa League during that time.

Yanga-Mbiwa completes permanent switch to AS Roma

French defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has sealed a permanent move to AS Roma from Newcastle, the Premier League club have announced.

The France international initially joined the Italian giants on loan in September 2014 having fallen down the pecking order at St. James' Park.

Yanga-Mbiwa joined Newcastle from Montpellier in January 2013 and made 46 appearances in all competitions for the north-east club.

Milan & Roma agree Destro deal

It's being reported that AS Roma and AC Milan have come to an agreement for the transfer of Mattia Destro.

The forward has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri, with reports this morning claiming that today would be decisive for any deal to take place.

Now Sky is reporting that the two clubs have reached a deal which will see Destro move to Milan on a 6-month loan before being bought outright in the summer.

Corriere dello Sport believes that means Roma have secured the signing of Luiz Adriano from Shakhtar Donetsk, though the club have yet to confirm that.

No figures have yet been given for the Destro deal, but Sky suggests that €700.000 will be paid for the loan, with a further €16.5 million to follow in the summer.

MAPOU Yanga-Mbiwa has formally completed a move to AS Roma from Newcastle United.

The defender’s season-long loan at the Stadio Olimpico has become permanent after his 20th appearance triggered a clause in the deal.

A club statement read: “Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has completed a transfer to AS Roma after meeting a contractual condition contained in the loan agreement between the clubs.

“The French defender joined Roma on a loan deal in September 2014 but it has now become a permanent move.”

The deal, including the loan fee, will net United £5.5m, according to Roma.

Newcastle did not disclose the fee.

Mainz bring in Castillo

Mainz have agreed a deal to bring in FC Brugge striker Nicolas Castillo on loan for the remainder of the season, with a view to a permanent deal.

The one-cap Chile international has 11 goals in 27 appearances this term - after initially struggling to find the net following his move from Universidad Catolica in January 2014.

Castillo joins a club 12th in the Bundesliga and could feature in Saturday's clash with SC Paderborn at the Coface Arena.

Morrison lands in Rome

West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison is set to complete his move to Lazio, having been photographed in Rome ahead of his medical.

The 21-year-old arrived in the Italian capital on Wednesday and will now undergo a medical assessment at the Paideia clinic in Rome - with a deal expected to go through when his West Ham deal expires in June.

Morrison - capped at various youth levels for England - will hope to rekindle his career after spending the bulk of the last few years on loan to various second-tier clubs.

The former Manchester United man has endured off-field difficulties since leaving Old Trafford and has struggled to gain a regular spot under Sam Allardyce at Upton Park, other than a run of games at the start of last season.

Hull agree fee for N'Doye

Hull City have agreed a fee - thought to be around £3 million - for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dame N'Doye.

The KC Stadium outfit have been in desperate need of cover following injuries to both Nikica Jelavic (knee) and Abel Hernandez (groin).

Both frontmen came off during Hull's 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich earlier this month, although they are thought to be close to a return to first-team action.

Nevertheless, Bruce has moved to add to his attacking ranks, agreeing a deal to sign Senegal international N'Doye on Thursday.

Villarreal have completed the signing of centre-back Eric Bailly from La Liga rivals Espanyol in a €5.7 million deal.

The Ivory Coast international has agreed a move to El Madrigal just a day after Gabriel Paulista left Villarreal to join Premier League side Arsenal.

The 20-year-old has signed a 5-and-a-half-year deal with Marcelino's side and will link up with his new club when he returns from the African Cup of Nations.

Bailly has made just 5 appearances for Espanyol in La Liga this season, with his first start coming against his new employers back in November.

Olic seals Hamburg return

Veteran striker Ivica Olic has left Bundeslisa high-fliyers VfL Wolfsburg and joined his former club SV Hamburg after passing a medical on Friday.

The 35-year-old Croatia international has signed an 18-month deal with Josef Zinnbauer's side on the eve of their first game since the mid-season break against FC Koln.

Olic left Hamburg to join Bayern Munchen in 2009 after 2-and-a-half years at the Imtech ArenA following his move from CSKA Moscow.

Olic, who has scored 5 goals in 14 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, leaves a Wolfsburg side who are second in the table to join a side placed 14th in the table.

Villa confirm Sinclair loan

Aston Villa have announced the signing of Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair on loan until the end of the season.

Sinclair has struggled for game time since leaving Swansea City for the Etihad Stadium in 2012 - making just 12 Premier League appearances for the club - and was afforded just 8 top flight outings during a loan at Villa's Midlands rivals West Bromwich.

However, 25-year-old Sinclair remains confident that his "best years" are ahead of him at Villa, who have an option to make his move permanent.

"It feels great to be here and the deal is finally done", said Sinclair.

"It's taken a few weeks but I'm happy to be here, to be in the building and to be signing for the club and ready to play some football."

Cork seals Swansea switch

Jack Cork has completed his move to Swansea City from Southampton after agreeing terms on a 3-and-a-half-year deal.

Swansea manager Garry Monk said in a press conference on Friday that Cork's switch to the Liberty Stadium was imminent, and the news was confirmed later that same day.

Southampton host Swansea in the Premier League on Sunday, but Cork will not be able to face his former club, as the deal was finalised after the 12 PM deadline.

Cork has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at St. Mary's this season, with just 5 Premier League starts to his name in 2014/2015.

The 25-year-old has fallen behind the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Victor Wanyama in the pecking order, while the likes of academy graduate Harrison Reed also provided competition.

As he is unavailable on Sunday, Cork could be in line to make his debut at home to Sunderland on 7 February.

Palace confirm Souare capture

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has announced the club has completed the signing of defender Pape Souare from Lille.

Souare has made 12 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this season, nine of which have been as a starter.

He becomes Palace's 4th signing of the January window, following the arrivals of Yaya Sanogo, Shola Ameobi and Jordon Mutch.

Roma snap up Doumbia

AS Roma have completed the signing of CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia on a 4-and-a-half-year deal after agreeing a €14.5 million fee for the Ivorian, with the potential for an extra €1.5 million in performance-related add-ons.

The 27-year-old has been prolific since moving to Russia in August 2010, scoring 83 goals in 129 appearances.

Doumbia was the Russian Premier League's top scorer in 2011/2012 and 2013/2014, having also won 2 league titles and 2 Russian Cups in his time at the Luzhniki.

That has prompted Roma to part with a considerable sum for his services as they go about looking to reel in Juventus at the top of Serie A.

He will not be immediately available, however, as he helps Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, where they have reached the quarter-finals.

Italy will be the 4th nation Doumbia has taken in through his career after playing in Japan and Switzerland before Russia.

Roma complete Ibarbo deal

AS Roma have completed the signing of Calgliari forward Victor Ibarbo on an initial loan deal with the option to complete a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

The Serie A high-flyers have stumped up an initial €2.5 million to take the Colombia international until the end of the campaign and will have to pay another €12.5 million to make the move full time.

It marks Roma's second foray into the transfer market in as many days after they striker Seydou Doumbia joined from CSKA Moscow on Saturday.

Ibarbo moved to Cagliari ahead of the 2011/2012 season and has gone on to make 115 league appearances, scoring 15 goals.

Head coach Rudi Garcia has moved quick to bolster his forward options after Mattia Destro departed for Serie A rivals AC Milan on Friday.

VfL Wolfsburg have confirmed the signing of Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle, the Germany international penning a 4-and-a-half-year deal with the Bundesliga high-fliers.

Schurrle had been linked with a return to Germany during the transfer window after struggling to hold down a first-team place at Stamford Bridge this season.

He had only started 5 league games as Jose Mourinho's side have charged to the top of Premier League, scoring 3 goals.

Schurrle's departure from Stamford Bridge is expected to pave the way for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado to join Chelsea.

Santon seals Inter return

Inter Milano have confirmed the return of Davide Santon on loan from Newcastle, with the Italian club retaining the option to make the move permanent.

Santon confirmed the switch earlier on Monday when he took to Facebook to state he was returning to Meazza.

The full-back departed Meazza for Newcastle in August 2011 and has largely been a first-team regular at St. James' Park.

However, a knee injury has plagued Santon this term and he has failed to make a single league appearance in 2014/2015.

Mainz confirm Djuricic to Southampton

Filip Djuricic has cut short his loan with Mainz to join Premier League club Southampton, the Bundesliga side have confirmed.

Attacking midfielder Djuricic penned a season-long loan deal with Mainz in August with a view to a permanent move, after struggling for regular first-team action at parent club Benfica.

However, that agreement has now been cancelled and Djuricic will link up with Southampton - initially on loan.

Hull winger Ince joins Derby on loan

Hull City winger Tom Ince has joined Derby County on loan until the end of the season.

Ince will add flair and depth to Derby's attacking ranks as they chase a return to the Premier League.

Steve McClaren's side sit second in the Championship and have not played in the top flight since 2008.

The 23-year-old, who was on loan at Nottingham Forest earlier this season, has made 7 appearances for Hull since joining from Blackpool in August.

Southampton complete full Bertrand deal

Southampton have turned Ryan Bertrand's loan deal from Chelsea into a permanent transfer.

Bertrand originally moved to the St. Mary's Stadium on season-long loan deal in the previous transfer window.

The 25-year-old has subsequently done enough to convince Ronald Koeman to hand him a 4-and-a-half-year deal.

Bertrand broke into Chelsea's first-team in April 2011 and played in the club's Champions League Final victory over Bayern Munchen in May 2012.

However, the England international struggled for game time when Jose Mourinho returned as Chelsea manager ahead of the 2013/2014 season and spent the second half of that campaign on loan at Aston Villa.

After Southampton sold Luke Shaw to Manchester United in a big-money move in the last transfer window, Koeman acted swiftly to bring in Bertrand.

He has since started 22 of Southampton's 23 Premier League matches, scoring twice, although he will sit out the club's next 3 games after receiving a straight card in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Swansea City.

Marseille land Ocampos

Lucas Ocampos swapped AS Monaco for fellow Ligue 1 title hopefuls Olympique Marseille on an initial loan deal on Monday.

The versatile forward moved to Monaco ahead of the 2012/2013 campaign when the club were in the second tier of French football.

However, the Argentinian has found first-team football hard to come by at Stade Louis II this term and has started just 7 times in the league.

Marseille have subsequently swooped to take the 20-year-old to the Stade Velodrome on a temporary basis, with Marcelo Bielsa's men retaining the option to make the deal permanent.

Ocampos could make his debut in Marseille's visit to Rennes on Saturday.

Monchengladbach snap up Hannover skipper Stindl

Hannover captain Lars Stindl has agreed a deal to join Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season.

Midfielder Stindl has agreed a 5-year deal at Borussia Park, having impressed again for Hannover in what has been a difficult season, which sees the club sit 14th in the table.

The 26-year-old - who took his league tally for the season to 6 with a brace against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday - is to leave the HDI ArenA in June.

Sampdoria swoop for Ajax captain Moisander

Ajax captain Niklas Moisander is to join Serie A side Sampdoria at the end of the season.

The Finland international has put pen-to-paper on a 3-year deal at Stadio Luigi Ferraris that will come into effect from 30 June.

Moisander first joined Ajax in June 2003 but failed to break in to the first team and subsequently had spells at FC Zwolle and AZ Alkmaar, winning the Eredivisie title with the latter in 2009.

The centre-back returned to the Amsterdam ArenA in August 2012 and he collected a further 2 league medals and the KNVB Beker under the stewardship of Frank de Boer.

PSV agree permament Guardado deal

Eredivisie leaders PSV have announced the permanent capture of Valencia midfielder Andres Guardado on a 3-year contract.

The Mexico international has spent this season on loan in Holland after a similar spell at Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga during the previous campaign.

Finding a regular place at Valencia proved difficult, though, and he has opted to move permanently to PSV to secure first-team football.

Since arriving at Philips Stadion in August, Guardado has made 29 appearances in all competitions and helped Phillip Cocu's side open up an 8-point cushion at the top of the table.

PSG complete permanent Aurier deal

Serge Aurier has completed a permanent move to Paris Saint-Germain after impressing during his season-long loan from Toulouse.

The Ivory Coast international has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Laurent Blanc's side since arriving in July, helping them to Coupe de la Ligue success and a tilt at the domestic treble.

With an option to purchase the defender written into the loan agreement, PSG opted to activate that and Aurier has signed a contract until 2019.
