Defoe confirms Bournemouth medical
Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe says his move to Bournemouth is going ahead and he has had a medical with the Premier League side.
The England international, 34-year-old, joined the Black Cats in January 2015, scoring 15 league goals this season before they were relegated to the Championship.
A teenage Defoe spent the 2000-2001 season on loan at Bournemouth from West Ham, scoring in 10 successive matches.
Asked whether the move was definitely happening, Defoe said: "Well, yeah."
Defoe is in the England squad for the World Cup qualifier against Scotland on Saturday and a friendly against France 3 days later.
"It's out there, a lot of people obviously knew", he said.
"I did a medical and said when this is finished and I've had a break, come July everyone will know anyway."

Gladbach complete Zakaria signing
Borussia Monchengladbach have announced the signing of Switzerland international Denis Zakaria from Young Boys.
Midfielder Zakaria agreed a 5-year deal at the Bundesliga side after passing a medical on Friday, while Gladbach also confirmed the sale of Julian Korb to Hannover.
Zakaria said he consulted with fellow Switzerland internationals who play for Bundesliga teams before opting to make the move and is aiming to help his new club qualify for Europe after they missed out last season.
Zakaria, who started his career as a striker and has also played as a central defender, was named in the Switzerland squad for the EURO 2016 tournament but did not make an appearance at the competition.
Korb's switch to Hannover ends the midfielder's 11-year association with Gladbach, the 25-year-old deciding to move to the promoted outfit after falling out of favour.

The 30-year-old made just 17 starts in Ligue 1 over the course of the campaign and departs less than 12 months into his 3-year contract.
Antalyaspor announced Menez's signing with a short video on their official Twitter account which showed the 24-times capped France international saying "we are Antalyaspor".

Bayern sign Gnabry
Bayern Munchen have completed the signing of Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen for a fee believed to be in the region of €8 million.
The 21-year-old recently already announced that he would leave Werder after just one year at the club and he has now inked a contract with Bayern until June 2020.
Gnabry had also attracted the interest of TSG Hoffenheim and RasenBallsport Leipzig with his fine performances in 2016-2017, but the reigning Bundesliga champions have won the race for his signature.
Gnabry came through the ranks of the VfB Stuttgart youth academy, but left the club for Arsenal before breaking into the first team.
He never really managed to secure regular first-team football at Arsenal, though, and eventually left the Emirates Stadium for Werder Bremen ahead of the 2016-2017 campaign, where he scored 11 goals in 27 Bundesliga outings.

The Super Lig outfit are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of next season after they had to settle for third place in 2016-2017 and have already announced the capture of Mehmet Ekici from Trabzonspor.
They are not done in the transfer market just yet, though, and Valbuena will become their second high-profile arrival.
Valbuena was deemed surplus to requirements by Lyon after losing his starting spot following the arrival of Memphis Depay in January, with the former France international starting just 15 Ligue 1 games in 2016-2017.

AS Roma have completed the signing of Mexico defender Hector Moreno from PSV on a 4-year deal, representing Monchi's first foray into the transfer market for the Serie A side.

Replacing Luciano Spalletti as head coach remains a key task for Monchi, while Mohamed Salah is expected to be a high-profile departure from the Stadio Olimpico.
Thomas Vermaelen and Federico Fazio have left Roma after respective loan deals from FC Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur expired and Monchi spoke of his delight at capturing Moreno to replace them.
"Moreno has been a target of mine for a long time, and fortunately now the circumstances are right for him to join us at Roma", Monchi said.
"This is a central defender with a lot of international experience, and he perfectly fit the profile we were looking for."

Diego Benaglio has signed a 3-year contract with Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco after leaving VfL Wolfsburg.
The 33-year-old's contract at Volkswagen ArenA still had 2 years to run but he has opted to move to the Ligue 1 champions, agreeing a deal at Stade Louis II through to 2020.
The former Switzerland goalkeeper, who retired from international football in 2014, will compete with Danijel Subasic and Morgan De Sanctis for the number 1 shirt at Leonardo Jardim's title-holders.
Benaglio, who made 14 league appearances last season, leaves Wolfsburg on good terms, stating his intention in a statement on the Bundesliga side's website to return to the club in the future.
"As much as I am looking forward to this new chapter in my career with AS Monaco, leaving here is very difficult for me", he said.
"Wolfsburg and VfL have become the second home for my family and me. I am already looking forward to my return."
Former Grasshopper and VfB Stuttgart player Benaglio had made over 250 league appearances for Wolfsburg since joining the club from Nacional Madeira in 2008.

On Monday, Lozano, known as "EL Chucky" thanks to his childhood pranks reminiscent of the horror movie villain, left the Mexico camp where he is with EL Tri for the Confederations Cup to go through fitness tests and see Eindhoven. He'll be back with the national team Tuesday to prepare for Wednesday's match against New Zealand.
The deal will run through the summer of 2023, the Eredivisie club announced, with Lozano set to sign the deal and join the team ahead of its Europa League qualification matches.

In joining the club, he follows in the footsteps of his father Bruno, who enjoyed two spells at Marseille during his playing career.
