Dortmund activate purchase clause for Can

Borussia Dortmund have made Emre Can's loan deal permanent, signing the midfielder on a 4-year contract for a reported €25 million fee.

Can has made just 2 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund since signing on loan from reigning Serie A champions Juventus on transfer deadline day in January, but he has impressed sufficiently for the club to make his temporary switch a permanent one.

The midfielder scored a stunning long-range goal on his debut in a 4-3 loss against former side Bayer Leverkusen, before starring in a 4-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, playing just over an hour.

Despite only arriving at the club on 31 January - just over 2 weeks ago - on a loan deal that contained an obligation to buy if certain conditions were met, Dortmund have already triggered their option to tie the player down.

Roma sign Perez outright

AS Roma have officially bought winger Carles Perez from FC Barcelona, after his loan move was made permanent.

The Giallorossi signed the 21-year-old from the Catalan giants on loan with an obligation to buy.

Goal.com states that the move would be turned permanent once Roma obtained a single point in Serie A.

This was therefore activated in the 4-0 win over Lecce last weekend.

The total amount of the deal is €12 million, €1 million for the loan and €11 million for the obligation to purchase.

Perez scored his first goal for the club in the 1-0 win over Gent in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32 last week.

Roma sign Mancini and Veretout

AS Roma have officially announced the permanent signings of Gianluca Mancini and Jordan Veretout.

Both players were signed on loan last summer with obligations to buy.

Mancini arrived from Atalanta on a €2 million loan, with the obligation price set at another €13 million plus another €8 million in bonuses, totalling €23 million.

Veretout meanwhile arrived from Fiorentina, and was signed for €1 million on loan, with the redemption price €16 million, plus a further €2 million in bonuses.

Both players have become automatic starters for AS Roma under coach Paulo Fonseca this season.

Mancini has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi, whilst Veretout has played 33 times.

PSG ask to extend Icardi loan

Paris Saint-Germain will ask Inter Milano to extend their Mauro Icardi loan, or reduce the option to buy from €70 million to around €50 million, claims L'Equipe.

The Argentina international had all told a positive season in Paris, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists in 31 competitive games.

He is currently on loan with an option to buy for €70 million and it's reported PSG want to negotiate changes to that situation.

According to L'Equipe, the idea is to either extend the loan for another season, or to reduce the option to buy to around €50 million.

The Ligue 1 champions already paid €13 million for the one-season loan, so in theory that would take the overall cost down to €67 million if it was to be repeated.

However, Inter want to get a cash sum for the 27-year-old, who is not part of their plans under Antonio Conte.

Juventus and Napoli have shown interest, but it's reported Inter included a clause forcing PSG to pay an extra penalty if they purchased Icardi and immediately sold him to a different Serie A side.

Rangers confirm permanent deal for Hagi

Glasgow Rangers have confirmed midfielder Ianis Hagi has signed a permanent, long-term deal at Ibrox Park.

The Romanian joined Rangers on loan from Genk in January, with Steven Gerrard's side having an option to buy.

Despite Genk originally wanting around £4,5 million for Hagi, the proposed deal will see Rangers pay £3 million in installments across 3 seasons.

Hagi scored 3 goals in 12 appearances for the Scottish side before the coronavirus pandemic halted the season.

PSG buy Icardi

Paris Saint-Germain have finally completed the signing of Mauro Icardi from Inter Milano for a reported €58 million.

Sky Sport Italia state PSG have paid an initial €50 million for Icardi, with €8 million to follow in the way of bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia also reports the inclusion of a clause that obliges the French giants to pay Inter an extra €15 million if they sell him on to an Italian club.

The 27-year-old joined Inter from Sampdoria in the summer of 2013 for €13 million and went on to score 124 goals in 219 games for the Nerazzurri.

However, he failed to win any silverware on the blue half of San Siro and his relationship with the Beneamata broke down irrevocably in February 2019, when he was stripped of their captaincy.

The Argentine subsequently embarked on a self-imposed exile and, despite returning for the final 9 games of Inter's 2018-2019 season, was frozen out by Antonio Conte.

"Maurito" moved to PSG at the end of the summer transfer window last year and netted 20 times in 31 games, winning the Ligue 1 title after the French campaign was ended early.

PSG had an €70 million option to buy but were able to negotiate a reduced fee in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Lyon to sign Ekambi

Olympique Lyon have agreed to sign Villareal attacker Karl Toko Ekambi after a promising season on loan in France.

The forward had a clause that would have made the deal permanent in any case if the French side finished in the European places, but given the season was finished ahead of schedule they've decided to pay the €11,5 million option in the arrangement with the Spanish side, including a possible additional €4 million in bonuses.

He made only 12 appearances for Lyon after signing in January, scoring twice, but obviously did enough to impress and earn a permanent move.

After a big money switch to Villareal from Angers, Ekambi looked set to be a success on the Mediterranean coast before falling out of favour in his second season when the Yellow Submarine signed Paco Alcacer.

Chelsea sign Timo Werner

Chelsea have completed the signing of RasenBallsport Leipzig forward Timo Werner, subject to a medical.

The Germany international has agreed a 5-year deal at Stamford Bridge and becomes Chelsea's second signing of the summer after Ajax's Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea have agreed to pay €50 million to trigger the release clause of Werner, who is set to earn more than €10 million per season in England.

Werner has made a total of 157 appearances for Leipzig, scoring 93 goals and making 40 assists, developing into one of Europe's most coveted forwards.

The 24-year-old will remain with Leipzig for the remainder of the Bundesliga season before joining up with his new team-mates next month.

Atalanta purchase Pasalic

Atalanta have officially activated their option to purchase Mario Pasalic from Chelsea for €15 million, announced the club.

The midfielder had been in Bergamo on loan since July 2018 at a cost of €2,5 million, so the full cost of the operation is €17,5 million.

The 25-year-old Croatia international was purchased by Chelsea from Hajduk Split in 2014 for €2,5 million, but then went on a series of loan spells with Elche, AS Monaco, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow and now Atalanta.

He has really found his form in Bergamo, contributing 7 goals and 7 assists in 33 competitive games this season.

Atalanta are currently 4th in Serie A and have reached the Champions League quarter-finals.

Meunier signs 4-year deal at Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Thomas Meunier on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sky.

Apparently, Meunier was in Dortmund on Friday to put pen-to-paper on a contract with BVB.

The 28-year-old, whose contract with PSG runs out this summer, has signed a 4-year deal with "Die Schwarzgelben", as per Bild.

The right-back has made a total of 128 appearances for PSG, racking up 13 goals and 21 assists.

Schneiderlin leaves Everton for Nice



Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has joined Nice for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old France international had been with the Toffees since joining from Manchester United in January 2017.

Schneiderlin went on to make 88 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit, scoring one goal.

The ex-Southampton player had started 12 Premier League games this term before undergoing knee surgery in February.

Nice, managed by former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira, finished fifth in the 2019-2020 Ligue 1 season brought to a premature conclusion due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rodriguez to join Roma at end of season

Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriguez will join AS Roma when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old has signed a 3-year deal worth £50,000-per-week with the Serie A club, who have the option to extend the contract by another 12 months.

Rodriguez's Chelsea deal was due to expire at the end of the month, but he signed a short-term extension earlier this week to allow him to end the campaign with the Blues.

Rodriguez's exit will bring an end to his 5-year spell in London following his arrival in August 2015 from boyhood club FC Barcelona.

He has scored 43 goals in 201 games since joining Chelsea, and helped them win the Premier League in 2017, FA Cup in 2018 and Europa League in 2019.

Rodriguez has played just 18 times since Frank Lampard became manager last summer, but will hope to help Chelsea to secure a Champions League place for next season and lift the FA Cup again before he departs.

Barcelona confirm Melo and Pjanic deals with Juventus

FC Barcelona have confirmed that Arthur Melo is to join Juventus in a £75 million deal later this summer, while they will sign Miralem Pjanic for £59,4 million the other way.

The Catalans say Melo's fee will rise to £75 million after an initial payment of £66 million - and have also confirmed Sky Sports News' information that he will continue with them until the end of the prolonged 2019-2020 season.

Bosnia international midfielder Pjanic, 30-year-old, will also stay with Juve until the end of the season before joining Barca on a 4-year deal for £54,9 million up-front plus £4,5 million in bonuses.

Sky Sports News exclusively revealed last week that the two clubs had agreed a deal for the 23-year-old Brazilian, who had repeatedly stressed he did not want to leave the Camp Nou this summer.

The Italian club had been emboldened by Barcelona's openness to selling him after just 2 years at the club, due to the necessity to recoup transfer funds for reinvestment this summer, and a hope the player would be attracted by Maurizio Sarri's desire to build his midfield around him.

Melo was also offered significantly more in salary than at Barcelona - some £4,5 million per year, according to Sky in Italy - and he flew into Turin on Saturday night just hours after playing as a late substitute for Barca against Celta Vigo.

He subsequently underwent medical exams on Sunday and signed a 5-year contract before flying back to Catalonia to resume training on Monday ahead of Barca's clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Melo will continue playing for Quique Setien into August, in the latter stages of the Champions League, before being unveiled by the Bianconeri ahead of the 2020-2021 campaign.

Augsburg announce 3 signings

FC Augsburg have announced the signings of Tobias Strobl, Daniel Caligiuri and Rafal Gikiewicz on free transfers.

The trio are all out of contract this summer and will be moving to the WWK ArenA from Borussia Monchengladbach, Schalke and Union Berlin respectively.

Strobl and Caligiuri have signed contracts until 2023 with Augsburg while Gikiewicz has penned a deal until 2022.

Bayern agree fee for Sane

Bayern Munchen have agreed a fee of £54,8 million with Manchester City for Leroy Sane, with the German set to sign a 5-year deal at the club.

The Bundesliga champions will pay an initial fee of £44,7 million with a series of performance and trophy-related add-ons.

These could lead to an additional £10 million for trophies won such as Bundesliga and Champions League titles as well as personal awards for the player himself.

City will also take 10% of any profit made by the German club should they sell Sane in the future.

The 24-year-old has continually been linked with a move back to his homeland which has seen City give up almost any hope of negotiating a new contract after nearly 2 years of talks with the Germany international.

It is also believed the winger will double the wages he was being offered by City to stay at the club with Bayern set to pay the player around £20 million per year.

Sane has only just returned from a cruciate ligament knee injury sustained in the Community Shield win over Liverpool back in August and was set to enter the final year of his contract at the club.

Therefore the deal can be seen as good business for the club who signed the player from Schalke for £37 million in 2016.

Inter sign Hakimi

Inter Milano have completed the signing of defender Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid in a deal thought to be worth an initial €40 million plus a further €5 million in add-ons.

The Moroccan international has spent the last 2 seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and had entered the closing stages of the arrangement.

Despite Madrid highly valuing the player, his preferred position of right-back is already occupied by Spain international Dani Carvajal with Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho Fernandez also in that position.

Hakimi, 21-year-old, has already amassed 22 caps for Morocco, including all 3 group matches at the 2018 World Cup.

The full-back had represented the Bundesliga title challengers 33 times last season and was largely very impressive before being ruled out for the remainder of the campaign in March.

He has once again return to action this season and has appeared in 45 games including a starring performance in November's 3-2 win over Inter in the Champions League - where he netted twice.

Leipzig announce the signing of Henrichs on loan

RasenBallsport Leipzig have signed Benjamin Henrichs from AS Monaco on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

"We've had our eye on Benjamin Henrichs for a while and are delighted that he will join us next season", said Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche.

"Even though he is only 23-year-old, he already has a lot of experience, both in Germany and internationally. His versatility in defence will give us more options when it comes to our tactical approach."

Kicker has reported that Leipzig have an option to sign the full-back permanently for around €15 million.

Roma strike Smalling deal

According to Sportitalia, AS Roma have reached an agreement with Manchester United to buy Chris Smalling for €20 million, spread out over several years.

There were more negotiations in progress today between the Premier League side and Giallorossi consultant Franco Baldini.

Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla now maintains they reached a breakthrough.

It'll be an extension of the loan for one more year at a cost of €3 million, with an obligation to buy at the end of the 2020-2021 season for a further €17 million.

The payment will be spread out over 3 years, taking some of the financial pressure off Roma.

Werder have to sign Toprak and Bittencourt

Werder Bremen are contractually obliged to tie Omer Toprak and Leonardo Bittencourt down to permanent deals after staying in the Bundesliga, according to a report from Kicker.

The report claims that the Green-Whites must pay a total of €11 million to sign Toprak and Bittencourt, who have been on loan from Borussia Dortmund and TSG Hoffenheim respectively. Toprak costs €4 million while the price for Bittencourt is €7 million.

Additionally, Werder's Bundesliga survival means that Davie Selke will remain on loan from Hertha Berlin.

Should Werder avoid relegation next season as well, the 25-year-old will complete a permanent move to the Weserstadion for a double-digit sum.

Having spent a significant part of the 2019-2020 season on the sidelines due to various injuries, Toprak has made a total of 12 appearances for Werder. Bittencourt has played 32 games for the club with 6 goals and 2 assists to his name.

Berisha ready for Stade Reims

Lazio have officially sold Valon Berisha to Stade Reims and the Kosovo international has signed a 4-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.

Simone Inzaghi never found much space for Berisha and loaned him out to Fortuna Dusseldorf in January, but the permanent move to Ligue 1 comes somewhat as a surprise.

The French club announced the transfer tonight and confirmed the 27-year-old has signed a deal until June 2024.

Berisha arrived from Salzburg in July 2018, but has only featured 22 times for the Aquile, including 11 games in Serie A.

Sevilla to buy Suso

FC Sevilla are now liable to pay around €24 million for AC Milan loanee Suso after they qualified for the Champions League.

Suso joined Sevilla on loan in January, with the condition that the deal would become permanent if they finished in La Liga's top 4.

That has now been rubberstamped after Real Sociedad beat Villarreal 2-1 earlier this evening.

The 26-year-old has managed one goal and 2 assists in 18 appearances for Julen Lopetegui's side in his half-season with them.

Suso moved to Milan in January 2015 for just €1,3 million as his contract with Liverpool had entered its final 6 months.

He scored 24 times and set up 36 in his 153 games for the Rossoneri, winning a Supercoppa.

Bellingham signs for Borussia Dortmund

Jude Bellingham has signed for Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City for an initial fee of £25 million.

The 17-year-old English midfielder completed a medical in Germany on Thursday after Dortmund persuaded him to move to the Bundesliga club over Manchester United, who had also made him an offer.

It is understood Birmingham will receive a guaranteed £25 million up front, with fees worth "several millions more" potentially added on depending on appearances, achievements and milestones.

Bellingham - who only signed a professional deal with Birmingham this month - follows in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, who moved to Dortmund in 2017 and has since gone on to become one the stars of the Bundesliga and an England international.

Verona get Cetin

Hellas Verona have reportedly agreed a loan deal with an option to buy AS Roma defender Mert Cetin ahead of next season.

Cetin has struggled to find space at the Giallorossi and has only played 5 games in Serie A since his move from Genclerbirligi last summer.

Sky Sport Italia report that the 23-year-old will move to Verona on a loan deal for 2020-2021, with an option to buy the player for €15 million next summer.

Cetin signed a 5-year contract upon his arrival in the capital but seems set to move on after only one season.

The report claims Roma will include a buy-back clause in the deal worth €15 million, should the player move on a permanent deal next summer.

Monchengladbach sign Hannes Wolf on loan

Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the signing of Hannes Wolf from RasenBallsport Leipzig on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

The midfielder, who completed a €12 million switch from Salzburg last summer, was limited to just 5 appearances in the 2019-2020 season following his recovery from a fractured leg injury, which kept him sidelined until November.

At Borussia Park, Wolf will reunite with Gladbach coach Marco Rose, whom he played under at Salzburg.

Lovren set for Zenit move

Dejan Lovren's 6-year stay at Liverpool is coming to an end with Zenit Sankt Petersburg closing in on a €12 million deal to sign the Croatian.

The Russian club have made their move to sign the 31-year-old, with talks already at an advanced stage. The transfer is expected to be finalised after Liverpool's final game of the Premier League season away at Newcastle on Sunday.

Lovren has been with the Reds since 2014 but made it clear he was ready to move this summer in search of regular first-team football.

The former Southampton man is behind both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip in the Anfield pecking order, and has made only 15 appearances in all competitions this season. His last start came at Watford in February, when Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten for the first time in the Premier League this season.

Zenit expressed their interest in signing Lovren back in May, though reports in Russia suggesting he may be available for a knockdown price or even on a free transfer were quickly dismissed by Liverpool, who took up an option to extend the defender's contract by a year in order to protect his value.

Lovren's departure will leave Liverpool light on centre-back options. Matip and Gomez have shared duties alongside Virgil van Dijk this season, but both have a history of injury problems - Matip is ruled out for the rest of this campaign with a foot problem, for example.
