Kondogbia completes move to Atletico

Geoffrey Kondogbia has completed a €10 million move to Atletico Madrid from Valencia on Tuesday morning, replacing Thomas Partey in Diego Simeone's squad.

Goal confirmed the final fee over the weekend, with Kondogbia committing his future to Atletico through to 2024 after reaching an agreement to depart Valencia.

Los Rojiblancos were given special permission to sign the 27-year-old after seeing Partey join Arsenal for €50 million on deadline day, with La Liga setting a 5 November deadline for Simeone to bring in a player to fill the Ghana international's boots.

Atletico have benefitted from La Liga's rule which allows any club that sees a player leave after having their release clause triggered to sign a replacement from Spain within a 4-week period.

Atletico's newest signing initially joined Valencia on loan from Inter Milano in 2017, before earning a permanent move the following year.

Kondogbia went on to appear in 104 games in all competitions for Valencia, but hit out at club president Anil Murthy for "destroying" the team earlier this month.

Kolasinac returns to Schalke on loan



Sead Kolasinac has agreed to join Schalke on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Bosnia international is to return to the club he joined as a youth player and spent 5 years as a first-team regular before signing for Arsenal in June 2017.

The 27-year-old arrived in Germany earlier this week to complete the move, with Sky Germany reporting that Arsenal will pay a portion of the Kolasinac's wages.

During November, Kolasinac had spent a period of self-isolation after the Bosnia Football confirmed the defender has tested positive for Covid 19 while away on international duty.

Kolasinac's loan move is set to begin on 4 January, with the full-back having made 113 appearances for Arsenal, helping the team reach the 2019 Europa League Final against Chelsea.

Ajax sign Sebastien Haller

West Ham have confirmed Sebastien Haller has joined Ajax on a permanent deal for a transfer fee of £20,2 million.

Sky Sports News previously reported a bid had been accepted by the Dutch champions - for less than half the £45 million West Ham paid Eintracht Frankfurt for the 26-year-old forward in the summer of 2019.

Haller, capped twice by the Ivory Coast, scored just 10 goals in 48 Premier League games for West Ham and returns to Holland where he previously spent 2-and-a-half seasons with Utrecht.

Despite his struggles in east London, Haller scored arguably a goal-of-the-season contender with his outrageous overhead kick against Crystal Palace last month, for what was his third league goal of the season.

Palace sign Mateta on loan with option to buy

Crystal Palace have signed French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta from FSV Mainz on an 18-month loan with an option to buy.

The 23-year-old arrived in London for a medical on Wednesday ahead of a move worth up to £16 million, with Palace paying an initial £2,7 million loan fee.

Palace will have an option to make the move permanent for £13,4 million, but that will become an obligation if and when Mateta has started 15 Premier League games.

Palace have held a long-standing interest in Mateta, and Max Meyer's departure from the club earlier in January made room for his arrival.

Wolverhampton sign Willian Jose on loan

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed Brazilian striker Willian Jose on loan from Real Sociedad for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old is waiting for a work permit under the new post-Brexit regulations, so will not be in the UK until next week. Wolves will have the option to sign him permanently in the summer.

Jose has been with Sociedad since 2016, scoring 62 times in 170 appearances for the La Liga side, but now provides a fresh option in attack for Nuno Espirito Santo.

The striker was on target for the Spanish side as recently as Wednesday evening, when his 2 goals helped defeat Cordoba 2-0 in the Copa Del Rey - 2 of his 6 goals this campaign.

His arrival at Molineux will give Wolverhampton a welcome extra attacking option in the absence of the injured Raul Jimenez.

Villa agree Sanson fee



Aston Villa have agreed a fee with Olympique Marseille for midfielder Morgan Sanson.

Villa will pay £14 million with the fee potentially rising to £15,5 million with add-ons.

The French midfielder is expected to arrive in Birmingham next week.

Sanson, 26-year-old, joined Marseille from Montpellier in January 2017 and has gone on to make 120 appearances for the Ligue 1 club.

He has also played 11 times for France U21.

Arsenal agree deal to sign Odegaard on loan

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard on loan until the end of the season.

Odegaard will undergo a medical in the next 48 hours before completing his temporary move to north London.

The 22-year-old made it clear he wanted to leave this month in order to play regular first-team football, having played just 9 times in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

Real Sociedad were keen on re-signing Odegaard after his season-long loan stint last year, but it is thought Real Madrid's preference was to send him to a club outside La Liga.

Odegaard registered 7 goals and 9 assists across 36 appearances on loan at the La Liga side last season, leading Real Madrid to cut short his 2-year loan and make him part of their first-team squad.

Odegaard is set to become Arsenal's second signing of the January window, after the club secured the services of Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan on a 6-month loan deal.

Fenerbahce sign Ozil

Mesut Ozil has thanked Arsenal for an "amazing journey" after his departure to Fenerbahce was confirmed, saying he goes with no grudges despite not playing for nearly a year.

The 32-year-old, who said goodbye to his Arsenal team-mates before flying into Turkey last Sunday, has officially signed a 3-and-a-half-year contract at Fenerbahce and trained with his new team-mates on Sunday.

Ozil has received a £4,5 million sign-on fee and will earn around £60,000-per-week from the club - a pay cut from his £350,000-per-week deal at Arsenal - although his wages will be boosted by sponsors and endorsements.

Despite not playing for Arsenal since a 1-0 win over West Ham in March 2020 and being omitted from the club's Premier League squad, Ozil took to social media to bid farewell to his former side and only had words of gratitude.

Sokratis joins Olympiacos

Former Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has completed a free transfer to Olympiacos on a contract until the summer of 2023.

Arsenal and Sokratis agreed to end the defender's contract at the Emirates Stadium 6 months early, before he completed his move to Greece a few days later.

The 32-year-old's deal was set to expire at Arsenal at the end of the season. Sky in Italy has reported that La Liga clubs Real Betis and FC Sevilla, as well as Serie A side Genoa, were keen to sign the Greek international.

He joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in July 2018 and went on to make 69 appearances for the club.

However, along with Mesut Ozil, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta chose not to include Sokratis in his plans this season and left the pair out of Arsenal's Premier League and Europa League squads.

West Ham sign Lingard on loan

West Ham have agreed a deal to take Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on loan for the remainder of the season.

Lingard is expected to have his medical in Manchester before travelling to London to complete the move.

If the deal is completed and Lingard is registered by midday on Friday, he will be available to make his debut against Liverpool on Sunday.

Lingard has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, failing to make a Premier League appearance this season, and has been looking to secure a move away to get more first-team minutes.

It is understood Newcastle and West Bromwich approached Lingard's representatives about taking the out-of-favour England international on loan, but the 28-year-old rejected their offers.

The total cost of a potential deal is thought to be more than £3 million, taking into account the loan fee and Lingard's wages.

West Bromwich sign Diagne on loan

West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Galatasaray and Senegal striker Mbaye Diagne on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The 29-year-old completed a medical in Turkey and flew into the Midlands on Friday night to complete a move to The Hawthorns on an initial 6-month loan deal until the end of the season.

Diagne's registration with the Premier League was submitted in time for him to feature against Fulham on Saturday, if Sam Allardyce decides to pick him.

Senegal international Diagne has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions this season as second place Galatasaray sit 2 points off leaders Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.

Bringing a striker to The Hawthorns has been top of Allardyce's priorities since he was appointed West Bromwich manager in mid-December.

Sevilla sign Alejandro Gomez

FC Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Argentine playmaker Alejandro Gomez from Atalanta in a club statement.

Born in Buenos Aires, the 32-year-old arrives in Andalusia after spending 6 seasons in Bergamo, where he proved himself as one of the best creative talents in Serie A.

Most often found on the left wing, Gomez has extensive experience of European competition having played in both the Europa League and the Champions League. His contract at Sevilla will run until the summer of 2024.

Gomez began his career with Arsenal de Sarandi, debuting in 2005 and staying until 2009. He then signed for San Lorenzo de Almargo for a season before moving to Italy with Catania.

The Argentine spent 3 seasons in Sicily before a sole campaign in Ukraine with Metalist Kharkiv, then returning to Italy to join Atalanta, with whom he enjoyed great success.

Gomez played over 250 games in Bergamo, scoring 59 goals and providing 71 assists, earning himself international recognition with the Argentine national team.

Man moves to Parma



Parma have officially signed Dennis Man from Steaua Bucharest.

The forward has scored 17 goals and contributed 7 assists in his 19 competitive games for FCSB this term, and has officially completed his move to the Gialloblu.

Serie A has confirmed that Parma registered the player and Tuttomercato claims he moves for €13m plus €2m in possible bonuses.

Man has signed a contract until June 2025 with the Crociati.

Leverkusen sign Gray

Leicester City have agreed a €3 million deal with Bayer Leverkusen for midfielder Demarai Gray, according to Sky in Germany.

The 24-year-old has already agreed terms with the Bundesliga side and is expected to travel to Germany over the weekend to complete his transfer.

Gray has fallen out of favour under manager Brendan Rodgers and looks set to leave the Foxes with his deal at the club expiring in the summer.

Crystal Palace and Olympique Marseille were also believed to be interested in signing Gray, with Palace manager Roy Hodgson admitting on Friday he was "aware" of his situation.

The former Birmingham City player has scored 13 goals in 169 appearances since joining Leicester for £3,5 million in January 2016.

Gray helped the Foxes win the Premier League in 2016 under Claudio Ranieri.

Musacchio completes Lazio move



Mateo Musacchio has completed his transfer from AC Milan to Lazio on a permanent move.

The 30-year-old centre-back had his medical this morning and signed a 6-month contract with option to June 2023.

It's believed the cost of the operation was circa €1 million.

He had been at Milan since leaving Villarreal in a deal worth €18 million in the summer of 2017.

Musacchio had been a regular in the first season, but following an injury didn't get back into Stefano Pioli's squad.

The Argentina international made 75 appearances in the Rossoneri jersey, contributing 2 goals and 2 assists.

Lazio needed a new defender after losing Luiz Felipe Ramos to an ankle injury for several months.

Fiorentina have confirmed the signing of Aleksandr Kokorin from Spartak Moscow.

"Fiorentina can confirm the signing of Aleksandr Kokorin on a permanent deal from Spartak Moscow", La Viola's official statement reads.

Born in Moscow on 19 March 1991, Kokorin has made 48 appearances for the Russian national team, scoring 12 goals along the way.

The brand-new Viola signing has won one Russian league title, one Russian Cup and one Russian SuperCup during his career.

Hertha set to sign Khedira

Hertha Berlin are set to complete the signing of Sami Khedira from Juventus, according to various reports.

Kicker is reporting that the 33-year-old will go through a medical today after arriving in Berlin on Saturday.

According to Bild, Khedira will join the German capital club on a free transfer.

The former German international is expected to put pen-to-paper on a contract until 2023, as per Gianluca Di Marzio.

He hasn't made a single appearance for Juventus this season.

El Shaarawy returns to Roma

AS Roma have announced the signing of Stephan El Shaarawy who returns to the club after one and a half year.

The Italy international had left Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2019 to join Shanghai Shenhua.

He has now returned to the club as a free agent.

"AS Roma are delighted to announce the return of Stephan El Shaarawy to the club", the club's official announcement reads.

The Italy international rejoins the Giallorossi for a second spell, after his successful time in the capital from 2016 to 2019.

El Shaarawy, 28-year-old, made 139 appearances for the club in his first spell - scoring 40 goals.

Udinese purchase Deulofeu

Udinese have officially purchased Gerard Deulofeu outright from Watford just 6 months into the loan deal.

The option to buy was believed to be worth €17 million, although seeing as the two clubs are both owned by the Pozzo family, they do many deals together.

Udinese released a statement this afternoon confirming they have activated the clause to purchase Deulofeu outright from Watford.

He signed a contract that holds him to the Serie A side until June 2024.

The Spaniard has made 12 competitive appearances in the Udinese jersey, contributing one goal and one assist.

Bayern beat Liverpool and Chelsea to signing of Upamecano

Bayern Munchen have agreed a deal to sign defender Dayot Upamecano from RasenBallsport Leipzig, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed.

The European champions will pay a €42,5 million release clause to land the France international, who will sign a 5-year deal.

The likes of Chelsea and Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for Upamecano, but the 22-year-old has decided to stay in the Bundesliga.

Upamecano is tied to Leipzig until 2023 but his agent confirmed last month he had a release clause in his deal, meaning he was always likely to move on this summer.

Bayern made no secret of their desire to get their hands on the highly rated defender and his advisor Volker Struth was spotted entering the club's offices for talks at the end of January. The European champions are set to lose David Alaba on a free transfer in the summer and were keen to secure a replacement quickly.

Leipzig turn Angelino's loan into permanent move

Jose Angel Tasende has joined RasenBallsport Leipzig on a permanent deal from Manchester City after the Bundesliga club activated their £16,3 million buy option in his loan deal.

The 24-year-old left-back had been on loan at the Red Bull ArenA since January 2020, but has now signed a 4-and-a-half-year deal with Leipzig.

He has often been used as a wing-back by Julian Nagelsmann, with his new attacking freedom helping him to record 8 goals and 11 assists this season.

Despite becoming one of the German league's most productive full-backs, Angelino failed to establish himself during two spells at City, making just 15 appearances in total.

Juventus complete permanent move for McKennie

Juventus have confirmed they have completed a deal to sign Weston McKennie on a permanent basis from Schalke.

The USMNT midfielder had been on loan with Andrea Pirlo's side, although he has impressed enough to convince the Serie A giants to make the move permanent, for an initial €18.5 million fee.

McKennie has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Juve in the 2020-2021 season, scoring 5 goals.

Pirlo's side have also revealed that they will be required to pay a further €6,5 million for the midfielder, should various conditions be met over the duration of the contract.

McKennie, who has been on loan with the club since August 2020, has signed a deal with Juve running until 2025.

Konate agrees personal terms with Liverpool

RasenBallsport Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate is on the verge of a move to Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano.

As per the reputable Italian journalist, the centre-back has agreed personal terms on a 5-year-deal with the Premier League giants, who are set to activate his release clause, reported to be around €35 million, in the next days.

Konate, who is still under contract with Leipzig until 2023, has been linked with Liverpool for a while.

The 21-year-old Frenchman has made 18 appearances for "Die Roten Bullen" this season, scoring once.

Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Austrian defender David Alaba on a free transfer from Bayern Munchen.

The 28-year-old Austrian joins the Spanish giants on a free transfer after he ran down his contract at Bayern. He has signed a 5-year-contract and is said to be earning a reported €12,5 million net annually.

Atalanta make permanent move for Romero

Juventus-owned centre-back Cristian Romero is set to join Atalanta on a permanent basis, Goal can confirm.

The Argentine had originally joined the Bergamo club on a 2-year loan in September 2020 - for €2 million up front plus bonuses - which included an option to buy.

Atalanta have decided to exercise that option a year early, however, with the club having become fully convinced by the defender's performances.

Juve will receive a fee of €16 million when they hand over full ownership to Gian Piero Gasperini's side.

Atalanta's reasons for moving so quickly to tie down Romero stem from his stellar season at the Gewiss Stadium, upon the conclusion of which he was honoured with Serie A's Defender of the Year.

Indeed, the 23-year-old's almost telepathic partnership with fellow centre-backs Rafael Toloi, Berat Djimsiti and Jose Palomino played a huge part in the club finishing third in the league and securing Champions League football for the 2021-2022 season.

Buendia joins Aston Villa

Aston Villa outbid Arsenal to agree a club-record £33 million fee to sign Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City.

The 24-year-old midfielder has completed a medical in Argentina, with the proposed move also set to be a selling record for Norwich, who rejected Arsenal's offer.

The fee Villa will pay could rise to nearly £40 million with bonus add-ons.

Buendia was named Championship Player of the Season for 2020-2021 following the Norwich's promotion to Premier League.

He scored 15 goals and registered 16 assists, creating more chances than any other player in the division.

Norwich signed Buendia from Getafe for a little over £1 million in June 2018 and he has since scored 24 goals and provided 42 assists in his 3 years so far at Carrow Road.

PSG sign Wijnaldum on free transfer

Georginio Wijnaldum has joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Liverpool, signing a 3-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.

Wijnaldum left Liverpool at the end of the season after opting not to sign an extension to his contract at Anfield, and will now play under Mauricio Pochettino in France.

Wijnaldum, who made 237 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Newcastle in July 2016, won the Champions League and Premier League during his 5-year spell at Anfield.

The 30-year-old was given a guard of honour in his final Liverpool game last month - the 2-0 home win over Crystal Palace - which guaranteed Jurgen Klopp's side a spot in next season's Champions League.

Foyth makes permanent Villarreal move

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Villarreal have exercised their option to sign Juan Foyth on a permanent basis.

The Argentina defender moved to Spain in October 2020 immediately after signing a new deal to keep him at Spurs until 2023.

Foyth went on to make 32 appearances in total for the La Liga side last season, including appearing in their Europa League Final win against Manchester United.

Initially featuring as a holding midfielder, Foyth reverted to right-back after the arrival of another former Tottenham player Etienne Capoue from Watford in December.

The 23-year-old joined Spurs in August 2017 from Estudiantes and made in total 32 appearances, scoring once, for the Premier League side.
