Liverpool agree sale of Mane to Bayern
Liverpool have agreed to sell Sadio Mane to Bayern Munchen for a deal worth up to £35 million.
Bayern will pay an initial £27,5 million with a further £5 million based on appearance. The Bundesliga club will pay another £2,5 million based on individual and team achievements.
The deal eclipses what Liverpool paid for Mane - £31 million plus £2,5 million in add-ons - with Southampton not getting any additional money.
Mane has been core to the club's success over the past 6 seasons so will depart with their blessing and gratitude.
Liverpool have been conscious of needing to evolve their squad without sentiment as a driving factor, and have efficiently recalibrated their attack with the recruitment of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.
Bayern have been confident of landing the Senegal international having received a verbal commitment from him last month. They believed it enabled them to pull off a cut-price deal, especially considering the Nunez development.
The Bundesliga giants also pointed to their "soft" negotiations with Liverpool for Alcantara, selling the midfielder for an initial £20 million with a potential £5 million in add-ons.
Roca joins Leeds
Leeds have signed Bayern Munchen midfielder Marc Roca on a 4-year deal for an initial £10 million.
The 25-year-old will join the club on 1 July until the summer of 2026. He becomes the latest arrival who will join the Whites at the start of next month, following the announcements of deals for Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson.
The defensive midfielder, born in Spain, began his career with Espanyol, breaking through from the youth system into the first team at the RCDE Stadium.
Winning caps for Spain at U19 and U21 level, he starred for the latter, helping his country win the 2019 European Football Championship.
He netted a goal in the semi-finals against France and played 90 minutes in the 2-1 Final victory over Germany, as did his new Leeds team-mate Junior Firpo.
At club level, Roca made his debut for Espanyol in August 2016 in the 2-2 La Liga draw with Malaga. He went on to establish himself in the side, making a further 25 appearances in all competitions during the rest of the campaign.
After catching the eye over the next 3 seasons and making a total of 121 outings for Espanyol, Roca was signed by Bayern Munchen on a 5-year deal in October 2020. During his time in Germany, Bayern won the Bundesliga twice and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Arsenal complete Vieira transfer
Arsenal have completed the £30 million signing of Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira, it has been confirmed.
The Portuguese midfielder had not been linked with a move to the Gunners throughout the start of the off-season, only to emerge as a surprise target for Mikel Arteta following previous links to other European giants.
Now, the 22-year-old will head to the Emirates Stadium for the next half-decade, in a deal that could well come to be viewed as a cut-price bargain buy for the north London outfit, given his potential pedigree.
Vieira will cost Arsenal £30 million overall, though that will be split between an initial transfer fee of £25 million and an additional £5 million in add-ons.
Arsenal have confirmed that Vieira has penned a 5-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, tying him down to the Gunners through until the summer of 2027.
West Ham seal Aguerd transfer
West Ham have spent big on Nayef Aguerd as David Moyes secured the centre-half reinforcement he has been after for some time, with the Morocco international completing a move to east London from Rennes.
The 26-year-old defender has spent the last 4 seasons in France, with his stock rising considerably in that time.
A new challenge in the Premier League is now set to be taken on, with Aguerd ready to slot straight into the fold at the London Stadium.
The Hammers have invested heavily in Aguerd's current ability and potential for future growth.
Moyes has been able to convince his board that £30 million is money well spent on the highly-rated Moroccan. He will wear number 27 for the Hammers.
Aguerd's arrival will add important depth to West Ham's defensive ranks as they ready themselves for a 2022-2023 campaign which will include more continental competition.
Gotze signs with Frankfurt
Germany's 2014 World Cup hero Mario Gotze has returned to his home nation after agreeing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gotze, 30-year-old, left the Bundesliga in 2020 after a disappointing second spell at first club Borussia Dortmund.
And he will now look to shine again in the top flight following his move from PSV.
Gotze wrote himself into German football history with his extra-time goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup Final, which earned Joachim Low's men a 1-0 victory and their 4th title in football's premier international tournament.
At club level, however, the one-time golden boy has struggled to fulfill his undoubted potential.
After bursting onto the scene as a teenager with Dortmund the midfielder earned a move to rivals Bayern Munchen, but did not live up to expectations and was shipped back to BVB in 2016 after just 3 seasons at the Allianz ArenA.
Fitness problems subsequently limited his impact at Dortmund and he made just 15 league appearances in his final campaign before moving on to PSV in 2020.

Monaco sign Minamino
AS Monaco have agreed a deal worth €18 million with Liverpool to sign Japan forward Takumi Minamino.
The fee is an initial €15 million plus a further €3 million in add-ons.
Minamino, 27, signed from Red Bull Salzburg in 2020, and has played 55 times for Liverpool, scoring 14 times.
The forward spent the second half of the 2020-2021 season on loan at Southampton, scoring twice in 10 Premier League games, before returning to Anfield last summer.
Minamino ended up featuring in 22 matches in all competitions to aid Liverpool's quadruple challenge last season, netting 10 times, including key goals in the club's FA Cup and League Cup triumphs.

City signs Kalvin Phillips
Manchester City have agreed a deal with Leeds to sign midfielder Kalvin Phillips for a fee in the region of £45 million to £50 million.
England international Phillips is moving closer to leaving his boyhood club, where he came through the academy and flourished under former manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The deal has yet to be officially completed as Phillips still needs to agree personal terms and pass a medical.
Sky Sports News understands, out of loyalty to Leeds, the only club he would have joined was Manchester City and he has turned down approaches from other clubs.
The 26-year-old will look to fill the void left by Fernandinho at City, who revealed he will be leaving the club this summer after 9 years with the club.
Arsenal agree Jesus transfer fee with City
Arsenal have agreed a £45 million deal with Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus, GOAL can confirm.
The Gunners have been locked in talks with City for weeks over the Brazil international, who Mikel Arteta has identified as his priority target to bolster his striking options this summer.
And an agreement was reached between the clubs on Friday, with Arsenal hoping to finalise a deal for the 4-time Premier League winner in the coming days.
With the two clubs having now agreed on a fee, Arsenal will look finalise personal terms with the 25-year-old.
That is not expected to be a problem, however, with the Gunners' technical director Edu having already put on lots of groundwork with the attacker's representatives in recent months.
Arsenal will look to wrap up the formalities of the deal quickly to ensure Jesus will be able to travel with Arteta's squad for an upcoming tour of the United States.
The striker has scored 58 goals and delivered 29 assists in the league since joining Manchester City in 2016.
He arrived as a teenager and went on to win 4 Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, as well as 3 League Cups and one FA Cup.

West Ham signs Areola
West Ham have agreed terms on a 5-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
The Hammers will now trigger the £11 million option price for the 29-year-old.
Areola is expected at the club in the next 24 hours to sign the deal with an official announcement to follow.
Areola joined on loan last summer with West Ham holding an option to buy.
West Ham see this as a fantastic deal as other clubs - including Newcastle - were interested.

Botman completes transfer to Newcastle
Newcastle have completed the £35 million signing of Sven Botman from Lille, the clubs announced.
Botman completed his medical on Tyneside on Tuesday before signing a 5-year deal with the Premier League club.
Formal details are set to be concluded this week, at which point Botman will become the team's third first-team signing of the summer behind Matt Targett and Nick Pope.
The 22-year-old defender joins Newcastle from Lille after 2 seasons with the French club.
He won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in 2021, featuring 47 times in all competitions and 37 times in the league.
Prior to his time at Lille, he rose through Ajax's academy, featuring for Jong Ajax and Heerenveen.
Internationally, Botman has featured for Holland up to the U21 level and was called up to the senior team in November but did not earn his first cap.
Fernandinho seals transfer to Brazil
Athletico Paranense have completed the signing of former Manchester City star Fernandinho, the club announced.
Fernandinho left Manchester City this summer, departing on a high after winning yet another Premier League title.
The now-former City captain will now return to his home country to sign with Athletico after originally representing the club from 2002-2005.
The midfielder originally joined City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 and spent nearly a decade with the Premier League club.
He made a total of 338 appearances for City, featuring at least 33 times in every season he spent at the Etihad Stadium.
By the end of his career in Manchester, the midfielder had won 5 Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and 6 League Cups while earning PFA Team of the Year honors in 2019.

Lukaku rejoins Inter on season-long loan
Romelu Lukaku is officially an Inter Milano player again after completing his season-long loan move from Chelsea, with no obligation to buy.
Inter will pay Chelsea a loan fee of £7 million plus £3,5 million in bonuses if they win the Scudetto, and will cover all his wages this season.
After the move was confirmed, Lukaku revealed he had remained in touch with Inter coach Simone Inzaghi after his departure last summer and was pleased to be back.
Lukaku is now hoping to build on his previous successes with Inter, who finished runners-up to AC Milan and won the Coppa Italia without him last season.
Lukaku also thanked president Steven Zhang for closing out the deal after complicated negotiations with Chelsea over the financial terms.
The Belgian has agreed to a 30% pay-cut to smooth his exit, with his earnings set to drop from £10 million per year after tax to £7 million.
Lukaku scored just 8 Premier League goals in 26 outings last season after returning to Stamford Bridge for a club-record fee.

Richarlison set to undergo Spurs medical
Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Richarlison from Everton, GOAL can confirm, with the Brazil international forward set to undergo a medical.
It appeared at one stage as though the 25-year-old would be heading to north London as a new addition at Arsenal, but the Gunners have turned their attention to alternative Samba stars such as Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha.
That has left a door open for Spurs to swoop in, with another proven Premier League performer being added to Antonio Conte's ranks on the back of deals for Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.
It is understood that Spurs will be splashing out an initial £50 million fee in order to get a deal for Richarlison over the line.
An agreement reached with Premier League rivals includes the option for a further £10 million to be paid in add-ons.
Reports suggest that the South American star will be committing to a 5-year contract with Spurs through to the summer of 2027.
Personal terms have been agreed, with medical tests the last box to be ticked before the relevant paperwork can be completed.

Inter sign Mkhitaryan in free transfer
Internationale Milano have confirmed the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a free transfer, the day after confirming a deal for goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Armenia international joins the San Siro side after a 2-year spell at AS Roma.
Mkhitaryan, 33-year-old, left the Italian capital club this summer following the end of his contract and has now been snapped up by their Serie A rivals.
Inter did not confirm how long the former Arsenal and Manchester United attacking midfielder has signed on for. However, it has been reported that he has penned a 2-year deal with the club, keeping him in Milano until 2024.
Inter complete signing of Asllani
Inter Milano have completed the signing of Albanian international U21 midfielder Kristjan Asllani from Empoli.
Empoli released a statement on the club's homepage confirming that the 20-year-old Albanian midfielder has been sold to Inter on a loan which will become an obligation if certain sporting conditions are met by the player.
Asllani's wages have not been officially announced by the club, but have been widely reported across Italian media as being around €1,2 million net per season including add-ons.
The deep-lying midfielder made his Serie A debut with the Tuscan outfit last season featuring 23 times in the Italian top flight scoring one goal and being credited with one assist.
Sensi joins Monza on loan
Stefano Sensi has officially joined the newly promoted Monza on a season-long loan deal.
The 26-year-old Italian midfielder is hoping to find regular first team football with Silvio Berlusconi's team following difficult outing last campaign. Sensi struggled for minutes under Simone Inzaghi last campaign and joined Sampdoria on loan in January, where he scored one goal before ending the campaign with a muscle injury.

Everton complete signing of Tarkowski
Everton have completed their first signing of the summer transfer window after confirming the arrival of Burnley defender James Tarkowski.
Twice-capped England international Tarkowski has arrived on a free after running his contract down at Turf Moor, ending his 6-and-a-half year association with the Clarets.
The 29-year-old could not stop Burnley from suffering relegation to the Championship last season, but will remain in the Premier League after signing up with Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.

Tolisso completes return to Lyon
France international midfielder Corentin Tolisso has completed his return to Olympique Lyon from Bayern Munchen, the Ligue 1 side announced on Friday.
The 27-year-old, who left Lyon to join Bayern in 2017 for €41,5 million, was out of contract with the Bundesliga champions and has signed a 5-year deal with the French side.
Tolisso, a member of the France team that won the 2018 World Cup, won 5 Bundesliga titles with Bayern and the Champions League in 2020 but also suffered numerous injuries.
Over the past season, he played just 15 matches, with 2 goals and an assist.
His return follows that of another "old boy", striker Alexandre Lacazette whose return from Arsenal was announced last month.

Dortmund sign Haller
Borussia Dortmund have signed Sebastien Haller from Ajax in a deal worth €34,5 million.
The striker leaves the Eredivisie champions after just 18 months with the club and may be trusted to replace Erling Haaland at the pinnacle of the Dortmund attack.
The Ivory Coast international scored an impressive 34 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last term, including 11 in the Champions League - a figure bested only by Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.
Dortmund will pay €31 million up front for the 28-year-old, Ajax confirmed.
However, the German side could end up paying a further €3,5 million in bonuses.
Haller has signed a 4-year contract with the Bundesliga side, tying him to the club until 2026.
Witsel signs with Atletico
Atletico Madrid confirmed the signing of former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel on a free Wednesday evening.
33-year-old Belgian international Witsel's move to Spain is complete. The veteran heads to the 6th separate domestic league his career following stints in Belgium, Portugal, Russia, China and Germany. On his most recent stop in the Bundesliga, he played a total of 104 league games for Dortmund. His lone piece of silverware came in capturing the domestic cup in 2021.
Across all competitions, Witsel made 143 appearances for Borussia, scoring 13 goals and registering 6 assists. It had long been known that his expiring contract would not be extended. Downes completes West Ham move
West Ham have completed the signing of midfielder Flynn Downes from Swansea City on a 5-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be £12 million.
The 23-year-old lifelong Hammers fan has signed a deal that will keep him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2027, with a further one-year option.
David Moyes will be given money to spend to carry on strengthening his squad, with Mark Noble, Andrey Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks and David Martin all leaving at the end of their contracts.
Romagnoli agrees free transfer to Lazio
Alessio Romagnoli has reportedly agreed to join Lazio on a free transfer, choosing his boyhood club over the incredibly interested Fulham.
The 27-year-old Italian centre-back left AC Milan on a free transfer at the start of this month, ending a 7-year association with the Rossoneri. A move to the Biancocelesti seemed likely until Fulham suddenly emerged, ready to pay him €4 million net per season in an attempt to convince him of the move.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Romagnoli has decided to sign a 5-year contract with Lazio, returning to his native city after more than 7 years away. He will earn around €3 million net per season plus add-ons, with bonuses linked to the Scudetto and European qualification.
Only the final details need to be agreed now before a deal is fully finalised. His pre-transfer medicals are expected to be scheduled at some point in the coming days.

Juventus seal Di Maria signing
Juventus have finally completed the signing of Angel Di Maria on a free transfer.
The winger had long been linked with a move to the Turin side after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of the season.
FC Barcelona had also been interested in landing the Argentina international, interest that was reciprocated by Di Maria himself, but now he has opted for a spell in Serie A.
Di Maria has agreed to a one-year contract at Juventus and will leave in the summer of 2023.
Talks with the Italian side dragged on because the club wanted to tie him to a longer deal, but the ex-Real Madrid man was eager to spend just one more season in Europe before returning to Argentina to join Rosario Central, where his career began.
Fiorentina sign goalkeeper Gollini on loan
Fiorentina announced the signing of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy on Saturday.
Gollini spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur but made just 10 appearances across the Europa Conference League and domestic cups.
He returned to parent club Atalanta in the summer but will be at Fiorentina for the next 12 months and potentially beyond should they take up their option to make the deal permanent.
Gollini actually started in Fiorentina's academy before joining Manchester United's youth side in 2012 and then returning to Italy with Hellas Verona 2 years later, where he made his professional debut.
In 2016, he was signed by then English second-tier side Aston Villa, where he made 20 appearances before joining Atalanta on loan for two seasons 12 months later.
Gollini joined La Dea permanently in 2019 and made 100 appearances for the club in total.
The 27-year-old has one Italy cap which earned in 2019.
Tottenham complete Lenglet loan transfer
Clement Lenglet has completed his loan move from FC Barcelona to Tottenham Hotspur, becoming the latest summer signing for the north London outfit.
Lenglet is under contract at Barca until 2026, but has fallen down the pecking order under Xavi Hernandez, prompting the defender to seek a new challenge.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte has been on the lookout for centre-back depth ahead of the new campaign, and Lenglet arrives to provide competition for the likes of Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies.
Tottenham will cover the majority of Lenglet's wages while he is in north London, 80% of the player's salary, with Barca compensating the rest.
No option or obligation to buy has been inserted into the terms of the deal, meaning Lenglet is likely to return to Camp Nou in the summer of 2023.

Pogba completes Juventus return
Juventus have completed the signing of Paul Pogba on a free transfer after the midfielder's release by Manchester United. Pogba returns to Juve after six years at Old Trafford, and will be looking to regain the form that made him the world's most expensive footballer when United paid £89 million to sign him in the summer of 2016.
He scored 34 goals and provided 40 assists in 178 appearances for the Bianconeri in his first spell with the club, but after an up-and-down time in the Premier League, it remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old is still capable of elite-level performances on a consistent basis as he returns to Serie A.
Having undergone a medical on Saturday, Pogba has signed a 4-year deal at the Allianz Stadium, which is set to be worth around €8 million-per-year in terms of salary, plus bonuses.
The France international will also earn a hefty signing-on fee from the Bianconeri, who are hopeful that he will become the centrepiece of Massimiliano Allegri's side in their bid to regain the Scudetto after two disappointing campaigns.
Fulham complete signing of Pereira
Fulham have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira for a fee understood to be worth £10 million.
United have retained a 20% sell-on fee in the deal, Sky Sports News understands, with Fulham paying £8 million up-front and a further £2 million in add-ons.
The Brazilian midfielder has spent the last 11 years at Old Trafford, coming through the youth academy as a teenager. Pereira made 75 appearances for United in total, scoring 4 times.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Flamengo, scoring 8 goals in 31 appearances. His last United appearance came at the end of the 2019-2020 season, with the midfielder spending the following campaign at Lazio.
Villa sign Augustinsson on loan
Swedish international Ludwig Augustinsson has agreed a season long loan move to join up with Aston Villa from FC Sevilla.
The Premier League side have been working on a deal since the start of the month as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his squad options ahead of the 2022-2023 campaign.
The move effectively ends Augustinsson's time at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as his current Sevilla contract comes to an end next summer.
The former Werder Bremen defender struggled to establish himself regularly in the Sevilla starting XI following his arrival in 2021 with just 13 league starts last season.

Ozil seals Basaksehir transfer
Mesut Ozil has been announced as a new Istanbul Basaksehir player after his contract at Fenerbahce was terminated. The midfielder was dropped from the Fenerbahce squad due to an issue with coach Ismail Kartal and it was confirmed on Wednesday that he has left the club.
Basaksehir quickly emerged as the favourites to sign the Germany international and have confirmed that they have a deal in place for the 33-year-old.
Ozil joined the Turkish giants from Arsenal in January 2021, signing a contract that was scheduled to expire in the summer of 2024.
However, he was unable to live up to expectations at the club and was subsequently dropped from the squad due to a falling out with Kartal.
Fenerbahce made a change in manager this summer, bringing in Jorge Jesus to take over, but the Portuguese admitted that there would be no place in the team for Ozil.
The 33-year-old leaves the club having made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring 8 goals.
