Sa nu il credeti pe Mircea Lucescu cand spune ca aceasta calificare este decisia. Va spun eu, nimic nu este inca sigur. Am castigat in fata lui Real Betis cu 5-0 si tot am suferit in retur. Am avertizat in privinta acestui adversar si am fost acuzat de falsa modestie.
Absentele lui Abidal si Puyol ne-au cauzat unele probeleme in defensiva fiindca nu avem jucatori rapizi, dar trebuie sa compensam prin alte calitati. In rest, jucatorii pe care ii am la disponizitie sunt adevarati monstri din punct de vedere fizic si cunosc foarte bine jocul.
In acest sezon Messi este determinant chiar si fara sa marcheze in trei meciuri, cu Real Madrid, cu Espanyol si in aceasta seara. El ne poate ajuta in diverse moduri sa castigam.

Nu asteptam acest deznodamant. Avem o echipa care poate evolua mult mai bine decat a facut-o azi. Am decis sa nu ne inchidem ci sa incercam sa jucam, sa ne folosim propriul stil, dar noi am ratat si imediat s-a facut 1-0 dupa un gol care a schimbat totul.
Am revenit in meci, am luptat dar nu am reusit sa profitam de ocaziile create. De partea cealalta, Barcelona stie cum sa provoace erori in apararea adversa gratie unei inteligente iesite din comun. Au fost letali in profitarea de propriile sanse, le-a crescut increderea si sunt deja calificati in semifinale.
Noi vom folosi aceasta experienta pentru a continua sa crestem si sa invatam. Vom incerca sa castigam returul in fata a peste 50.000 de oameni, impunandu-ne propriul stil de joc. Am pierdut astazi in fata unei masini de fotbal care cunoaste toate secretele jocului si stie sa isi pastreze avantajul luat dupa mansa tur, dar si noi avem un stil de joc pozitiv si vom incerca sa lasam o impresie mult mai buna saptamana viitoare.

Samuel back to boost Inter
Inter Milano's Walter Samuel has been included in their squad for the Champions League clash at Veltins ArenA on Wednesday after missing the last five months because of a cruciate ligament injury.
Doctors expected the centre-back to be out for the season after reconstructive surgery but the 33-year-old, who suffered a similar problem in 2007, has quickly recovered having collapsed to the ground in agony in a draw with Brescia on 7 November.
An Inter statement said flu victim Wesley Sneijder was also in the squad for the quarter-finals second leg in Gelsenkirchen, where holders Inter face an almost impossible task in overturning a shock 5-2 first leg deficit.

Heurelho Gomes admits Tottenham Hotspur may find it hard to keep Gareth Bale if they do not make it into next year's Champions League.
Bale has shot to prominence thanks to his outstanding performances in Europe this year, most notably his 2 stunning displays against Inter Milano.
The Wales winger signed a new 4-and-a-half-year contract last month, but admitted before last week's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid that he could be tempted to move to one of Europe's biggest clubs in the future.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has not given up hope of making the last 4 of the Champions League despite his side trailing Real Madrid 4-0.

Fresh from completing Real Madrid's quarter-final defeat of Tottenham Hotspur with the only goal at White Hart Lane, Cristiano Ronaldo predicted a spectacle to savour as he looked ahead to Los Merengues locking horns with arch-rivals FC Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
Ronaldo's 50th-minute effort sealed a 5-0 aggregate triumph for a Real Madrid side who will also be tackling FC Barcelona in La Liga on Saturday, ahead of their Copa del Rey Final showdown next Wednesday.
"It will be fantastic", said Ronaldo of the Champions League double-header with Josep Guardiola's men on 27 April and 3 May.
"The games will be very, very difficult. We are going to play against one of the best teams in the world, which is FC Barcelona", continued the Portuguese international, who does not consider the Liga leaders invincible.
"We have to think it is possible because they are not from another world - they play football like the very best teams, but we are also strong."
Indeed, Real Madrid remain unbeaten in Europe this term and Ronaldo briefly allowed himself to dream of a Wembley reunion with his old club Manchester United in the final on 28 May.
"Of course I would be very happy if I played against Manchester because I played there for 6 years, but let's see what happens. The final is a long way away."
Raul in raptures as Schalke roll on
After scoring the first goal and creating the second to help Schalke seal a 2-1 second leg win against holders Internazionale Milano, Raul Gonzalez said it was "hugely satisfying" to be part of a side through to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time.
Although a 3-time winner of the famous trophy, Raul had not reached the last 4 of the competition in 8 years. Like his former club Real Madrid, the striker is now back at the tournament's business end after turning in a display that earned him the Player Rater Top Player honours on UEFA.com.
"It's nice to be man of the match, but the most important thing is that we've reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time", the 33-year-old told UEFA.com.
"We have won twice against the reigning European champions. We were the better side in both games and now we face a really complicated semi-final against Manchester United. We have to get it out of our heads that we are playing a big team like United and believe that we can reach the Final, even though we won't be favourites."
With Raul in his form, United are unlikely to take Schalke lightly in their last 4 game on 26 April and 4 May.
"It's incredible, a great moment", added the former Spain forward, one of a raft of squad additions last summer.
"It's great to be part of this team. With so many new players having arrived, to find ourselves rubbing shoulders with the best 3 teams in Europe is hugely satisfying. We will try to enjoy this situation but we know we'll have to work hard over the next 2 weeks to prepare for the semi-finals."

Barca to appeal Iniesta's UEFA suspension
FC Barcelona have decided to appeal UEFA's proposal to ban Andres Iniesta for one Champions League match for deliberately collecting a yellow card.
The Spain midfielder was cautioned in the first leg of Barca's quarter-finals against Shakhtar Donetsk, which the Spanish club won 5-1, for not retreating the required distance at a free-kick, meaning he missed the return game in Ukraine.
UEFA officials at the match alleged Iniesta provoked the card so he could serve the standard one-match ban in the second leg and would have a clean slate for the semi-finals.
FC Barcelona face La Liga rivals Real Madrid in the last 4 of Europe's premier club competition with the first leg away at Santiago Bernabeu on 27 April.
"FC Barcelona believe that the arguments outlined in their appeal, based on the good faith of the player and the disproportionate nature of the proposed sanction will be sufficient to rebut these allegations", the club said on their website.
"The UEFA disciplinary committee will make a decision on the case on Wednesday", they added.

FC Barcelona's attacking philosophy will remain the same for the Champions League semi-finals first leg against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu next week, coach Pep Guardiola has said.
The Catalans suffered a 1-0 extra time defeat by their arch-rivals in the Copa del Rey Final on Wednesday, days after being held to a 1-1 draw by 10 men in the league at Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho's side deployed a physical counter-attacking approach which unsettled Barca in both games and Guardiola was asked if he was considering changes to his system for the third and 4th clashes between the sides over the next 2 weeks.
"It's as if our style has become an excuse for us having lost the Cup final", Guardiola told.
"Whether you win or lose, the style is always the same. Playing attacking football is the only way I understand, it's our club's philosophy and I'm not going to change it."
"We are going to attack and to try and score goals at Bernabeu."
The 40-year-old, who won a Treble with Barca in his first season at the helm in 2008/2009, became riled when it was suggested that only winning La Liga for the third year in a row might be considered a failure.
"It would be a disaster, a failure, it would be necessary to change the president, the coach and all the players. The cycle would be at an end", he said ironically.
"We are up against a recent past where we had a lot of success. I would be happy if we only won La Liga but if the fans are sad, what can I do?"
Barca visit Madrid next Wednesday in Champions League and play the return leg at Camp Nou on 3 May.

UEFA has decided to pre-pone their meeting to look into the actions of "unsporting conduct" shown by FC Barcelona players.
This includes:
- Pedro Rodriguez faking a strike to the face which resulted in a card for Arbeloa
- Busquets faking a strike to the face against Marcelo
- Dani Alves acting and faking, resulting in a direct red for Pepe, when his leg hadn't even been touched
Real Madrid expect 2 things from this hearing: Pepe's red card being rescinded and Dani Alves getting suspended.
The club will back up all these claims with video evidence.
Mourinho handed European ban
Jose Mourinho has been handed a 5-game European ban for his outbursts during the Champions League semi-finals first leg against FC Barcelona.
The Real Madrid coach has already served a one-match ban and another is suspended, meaning he will miss Real's first 3 European games next season.
Mourinho has also been fined €50.000 by UEFA's control and disciplinary body for his sending off and comments after the first leg, while Real midfielder Pepe has been given a one-game ban, which he served in the second leg, for his red card.
FC Barcelona reserve 'keeper Jose Pinto, who was red-carded after a scuffle at half-time at Santiago Bernabeu, has been given a 3-game ban.

Kassai to referee Final
Hungarian Viktor Kassai will referee Saturday's Champions League Final between FC Barcelona and Manchester United at Wembley.
The 35-year-old is an experienced official, haven taken charge of more than 60 UEFA fixtures since making his international debut in 2001.
He has refereed United once in the tournament already this season during their 1-0 away victory at Mestalla in the group stages and also took charge during victories over VfL Wolfsburg in September 2009 and Dynamo Kiev in October 2007.
However, Kassai did attract the anger of Arsene Wenger earlier this season when booking Arsenal forward Carlos Vela for diving in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sporting Braga in November.
The Hungarian, who will be assisted by compatriots Gabor Eros and Gyorgy Ring, also took charge of the Final of the 2008 Olympic Games as Argentina defeated Nigeria, and 4 games at last year's World Cup in South Africa.
Final set to smash records
The Champions League Final in London this weekend is set to break all economic records but organisers may have to look outside Europe for future market opportunities and growth.
Saturday's Final between Manchester United and FC Barcelona at Wembley is set to be the most lucrative in European club football, boosted by the clubs' strong brands, the latest annual MasterCard survey said.
It could be worth €369 million to the clubs and countries involved, a rise of 5% on last year.
But the rate is a slowdown on previous finals, indicating the European market may have become saturated and that UEFA will have to look to new markets such as the emerging economies, south and central America and BRIC countries for future growth.
The presence of a British team in the Final was likely to have contributed to the dip.
"Europe is a mature market and I think medium-to-long term, maybe UEFA has to look towards other markets across the world for continuing and sustained growth", the author of the report, professor Simon Chadwick, told reporters.
Manchester United, who won the English Premier League earlier this month, play La Liga champions FC Barcelona in a re-run of their 2009 Final in Rome, won by the Catalan club.
Up to 220 million television viewers are expected to watch the world's most high profile clubs battle it out, each hoping to lift the cup for the 4th time.
The winning team can expect to earn a windfall of €126 million, up 5% on last year, but down on the 9% the year before. The losing finalist could hope to pick up €73 million, a rise of 4.3% on last year, but lower than the 7.7% the year before.
The economic downturn was one of the reasons for the slower growth, while more refined data could be another, Chadwick said.
London can expect to generate €52 million from hosting the game, a 4% rise on Madrid last year.
It should further bolster the capital's reputation as one of the world's most sporting cities, especially ahead of the 2012 Olympics, but the figure is less impressive than the 11% generated by Madrid on its predecessor, Moscow.
Switching the Final to a Saturday had positive results, but it has yet to fully bed down with fans, Chadwick said.
David Taylor, chief of UEFA events, told Reuters there was "no reason to believe we will change" back to Wednesdays, when it reviews the situation next year.
UEFA has been criticised for Wembley tickets costing up to £4.680, making it the most expensive club game.
Taylor repeated UEFA president Michel Platini's comment that maybe it had not been the smartest decision it had ever made and that it will consider a reduced price category in future.
Wembley will witness the best attack against the meanest defence in the competition this season, while Sir Alex Ferguson becomes only the third manager to contest 4 Finals.
