Haaland wins 2020 Golden Boy award
Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland has been rewarded for his stunning exploits, named the 2020 Golden Boy recipient.
The prize, presented by Italian newspaper Tuttosport and won by Joao Felix last year, is given to the best player aged 21 or under from a top tier league in Europe.
And Norway international Haaland - the leading contender - graced Saturday's front page of Tuttosport, beating the likes of Dortmund team-mate Jadon Sancho, Bayern Munchen's Alphonso Davies, Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood and FC Barcelona sensation Ansu Fati to the award.
Haaland scored 44 goals across all competitions in 2019-2020 - 16 of those coming in 18 appearances after a mid-season move from Austrian champions FC Salzburg to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
Among all Bundesliga players last season to have scored at least 10 goals, only Bayern star Robert Lewandowski (81,2) had a better minutes-per-goal record than Haaland (81,7).
Haaland has 6 goals in as many Bundesliga appearances for last season's runners-up Dortmund this term.
The 20-year-old has found the back of the net 4 times through 3 Champions League fixtures in 2020-2021, taking his tally to 11 goals from 11 matches across all competitions.
Lewandowski & Neuer to miss clash with Atletico
Hansi Flick has confirmed that Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer will both miss Bayern Munchen's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
Bayern will travel to Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night safe in the knowledge that they have already qualified for the last 16 as Group A winners.
The reigning European champions opened the defence of their title by beating Atletico 4-0 at Allianz ArenA, before beating Lokomotiv Moscow 2-1 in Russia and FC Salzburg 6-2 in Austria.
Flick's men also picked up a 3-1 win over Salzburg at home to book their place in the knockout stages, giving their head coach the chance to ring the changes for Tuesday's trip to Spain.
The German head coach has revealed that Bayern's top scorer Lewandowski has been left out of his latest squad along with first-choice goalkeeper Neuer and in-form midfielder Leon Goretzka, while Corentin Tolisso is still not quite ready to return after recovering from a muscle injury.

The Champions League Final between Chelsea and Manchester City will be played at Estadio do Dragao on 29 May, UEFA has confirmed.
UEFA had wanted to move the Final to Wembley and was in talks with the UK Government, but there was a considerable sticking point over waiving quarantine rules for the 2,000 staff, sponsors, VIPs and foreign media.
The fixture was due to take place at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, but pressure mounted for the venue to be changed after the UK government placed Turkey on its "red list" of at-risk countries and urged fans not to travel for the fixture.
UK citizens returning from red list countries are required to quarantine at a government-approved hotel for 10 days.
UEFA have confirmed 6,000 City and Chelsea fans will be allowed to attend although the overall stadium capacity is still to be finalised.
Portugal is on the government green list so UK visitors will be able to travel there from Sunday.
They will not need to quarantine but they will have to take Covid-19 tests before and after they travel.
This will be the third Final in Portugal in 8 years but the first in Porto.
